I just don't get it.

In the age of information with people ostensibly under the age of 28, people still don't know how to maneuver Dropbox links, fine that can be a little niche. But then a link is provided where all you have to do is click on it and it opens in your web browser and people are still finding it hard to do?

I probably sound like an ass, but some people have scrubbed through hundred of pages of other years to get information across and 20 pages is giving us issues. As graduate trainees that want to get employed, we should be the ones bringing innovation in tech and the creative space, not battling with Dropbox links.

I just find the repeated 'please send to my phone' a little annoying tbh. Shout-out to all the folks sending to people email by email. You are the real ones.

All the best guys.

Enjoy.
Bro,

This is just so wrong.

If nobody will point out your shabby attitude to you right now, I will.

I'm not surprised. The Big 4 firms are peopled by many like you. The foul-mouthed know-it-alls.

Ever heard this sage advice from The Great Gatsby? "Whenever you feel like criticizing anyone, just remember that all of the people in the world haven't had the advantages that you've had." Why should you think about this every time?

Because you don't know everyone's story.

A simple Google search brought some people to Nairaland(and this page) for the first time, this is probably their first time on the road to a Big 4. Navigating nairaland or prepping for the test, which is more important? And why should I bother reading many pages when there are good samaritans asking me to drop my mail to have the past questions sent to me?

If and when you get into PWC, never forget that you will be working with people, and lashing out when people seek your advice, your guidance, your expertise through questions (it matters not how easy the question appears to you) is one way to be remembered as an all-time asshole.

I wish you the very best in your potential career.

Well I will have to reply to this post. Because we need to sell sense for some people when it comes to pure sensible matters. How can you say PDP contracted him 2011 making it seems we all can not read. If you can't please ask someone to read to you so that you can understand. The said man has been working for INEC since 2011 and not a senatorial aspirant as at then. Since he is participating in the said election he has no right to be given such contracts anymore or collect such because he is partaking in the election.m moreso what we are talking about here is 2019 not 2011 I beg
You didn't take the time to read his biography.

Go back again. Read it line by line.

Highlight his involvement with the PDP government, then quietly withdraw your unintelligent position.

Comprehension is our greatest problem in Nigeria.

My assumptions again?

I think most companies will resume their recruitment process in March, after the elections must have come and gone.

I also think the process will be long and tough. But for those that will get in, it will be worth the hustle...

I wish all of us happy waiting.

If you really want in on tax, lock it in and hope for the best. Are you 26 already or later this year?
Sadly, I'm 26 already.

But it's all good. I have a little over 1 year audit experience.

Maybe, I'll try investment banking. It looks like a tall order already.

Thanks for the response.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: PwC Graduate Recruitment 2019 by NDakota: 10:21pm On Jan 27, 2019
Hi guys,

Please, I applied for the tax GT position. I'm 26 at present. Do I stand a chance(I have 1 year experience in another Big 4)?

Or is it possible for me to withdraw my application and go for advisory instead? Advice please!

As an aside: the back and forth trading of snide comments looks childish to me. Please sheathe your swords, people. I know some elders are reading and shaking their heads.

God bless all of you!!!
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Sahara Talent & Entrepreneurship Programme (STEP 2019) by NDakota: 6:01pm On Jan 18, 2019
I did the video, too.

I think my video size was 154mb. Then, I compressed it using a video compressor software. Final size came to like 9.3MB...

Why am I not all positive about this recruitment? My worries are many

✓ The STEP looks like a whole, new program, giving room for a lot of guesswork by HR. What are they looking for in the videos? What is the selection criteria?

✓ What are we vying for? An MD trainee position? A chance to head to Tanzania and create or expand Sahara Tanzania's businesshuh?

There is more, but I would rather hear from better informed people. Please, who can explain what this program is all about.

PS: I didn't bother doing the first video; I had a feeling it was a useless venture. Now, I have done the 2nd one. I still have no clue what I'm getting into. Help, please? Help?

Is there any one here who didn't get the stage 2 video invite?

Like someone who did the first video, but isn't shortlisted for the second video?
RomanceRe: Why Do You Regret And Feel Ashamed After Sex? by NDakota: 12:15am On Jan 14, 2019
Nonsense...

Regrets come from doing "it" with a lady you don't love.

Sex with a lady you truly love is pure bliss.

Methinks Keats was referring to having sex with the love of your life when he said, "a thing of beauty is a joy forever"

If you haven't found her, keep looking.

No nonsense posts!

Lollllllllllllllllll...

Guys, if you click on the job link from the advert, you get this message:

"Sorry, this job position has been filled."

In an ideal recruitment, the message should be, "Application is now closed."

I have been around this job searching thing to know when something isn't right. Move on, guys. Better things ahead!!!

PoliticsRe: President Buhari's Administration In Pictures, Wailers Stay Away! by NDakota:
There are problems in Nigeria, many of them allowed to fester from the day Atiku joined the Nigeria Customs. I am interested in how a known rogue, like Atiku, will put an end to it.

✓ Endemic corruption in the civil service? For 20 years Atiku enjoyed this situation as it enabled him line his pocket with dollars with which he entered politics. Can you lock the door of your own shop?

✓ Herdsmen and Farmers skirmishes? Has Atiku "Atikulated" his strategy for putting an end to the menace. No. The only thing these dumb IPOB miscreants shove up our faces is the usual nonsense: he is a liberal fulani Muslim. No strategy. No plans. No substance.

✓ Infrastructure deficit? Atiku can't build anything for the common Nigerian. He panders to the rich and mighty. It is an established fact...Atiku would rather privatize and sell off to his cronies. A heartless way to be a political leader.

✓ Social Welfare? It is he who wears the shoe that knows where it pinches. Ask the thousands of NPower youths where their loyalties lie. Ask the old people who are beneficiaries of the conditional cash transfer program who they will queue behind. Ask the tradermoni guys, and ask my own parents, who received an alert from PTAD only recently.

They all know one man. PMB. QED.

Atiku is going nowhere

PS: whoever assumes Igbo land is for Atiku is a joker. Apart from the jobless IPOB members, the intellectually sound Igbos are the silent majority...

And they're voting PMB.

The Hausa Fulani would have outsmarted them yet again...

There is a certain reason why I love this administration.

A precise focus.

You don't need to be a jack of all trade and a master of none. You don't need to be a rolling stone that gathers no moss. You only need to pick a part and make yourself the absolute best. This is what I think PMB is doing.

Take railway and welfare programs as a case study. No administration before PMB has done a fourth of what he's been able to do...

PMB is setting a precedent. Pick a part and work hard on it. And inshallah, little by little Nigeria would be great again.

God bless Nigeria.

Atiku/obi project is a failed project
Why do you stress yourself?

You should have known that Atiku/Obi project is an IPOB project.

Forget all the denials by the faceless Emma Powerful, IPOB knows that should Atiku fail to win that Nnamdi Kanu and his parents will remain in exile for another four years.

Abaribe, Ikpeazu and co., are pushing this dead-on-arrival project to help Igwe Kanu not to die as a scoundrel in a creek...

Ignore them. The blood of youths slain because of the gra-gra from Kanu will never let Atiku win.

IPOB can never have their way in a Nigeria they vehemently rejected.

If you don't want people to wait to be taught new things that will better their lives, why sell information? All I said was for you to let people bare their minds and not shut them up. You don't know their experiences with those they have grudges with.
As regards payment for info, I have no problems with that if the info is worth it. So boy, take it easy on yourself. If you've got market to sell, I have no biz with you, just stay on your lane.
