Ex-Vice President, Atiku Abubakar has alleged that the United State has barred President Muhammadu Buhari for 15 years due to his religious views – Sharia -.

The Former Vice made the statement during an interview with Dele Momodu, which was part of his weekly column he titled, ‘pendulum’, published in The Boss Magazine.

Israel has launched a surface-to-surface missiles at a military installation outside the Syrian capital Damascus overnight, According to Syrian state TV reports.

The attack caused damage but two missiles were intercepted, it added.

Thousands of people have took part in a street protest on Saturday for the third time since this week in Lome asking for the resignation of President Faure Gnassinge.

The protest has given little progress on promised talks, according to reports.

Nigerians based in Libya are selling their fellow countrymen, as revelations indicated that Libyan nationals are buying and selling migrants as slaves.

This emerged as more Nigerians are repatriated by the International Organisation for Migration with the backing of the European Union in an ongoing exercise that has seen 1,295 retrieved from Libya in November alone.

Since the beginning of 2017, IOM-facilitated repatriation has brought back 5,578 Nigerian migrants, who were trapped in and outside prisons across Libya.

Zimbabwean opposition activist Leader, Pastor Evan Mawarire has been acquitted on charges of trying to overthrow Robert Mugabe’s former government.

Oscar Pistorius jail sentence increased more than double

South African court has increased Olympic athlete Oscar Pistorius’s jail sentence for killing his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp to 13 years and five months.

Prosecutors had argued that the six-year term for murdering Steenkamp was “shockingly light”.

“Of the party itself, that same governor said ‘Mr. President, Sir Your relationship with the national leadership of the party, both the formal (NWC) and informal (Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Atiku Abubakar, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso), and former Governors of ANPP, PDP (that joined us) and ACN, is perceived by most observers to be at best frosty. Many of them are aggrieved due to what they consider total absence of consultations with them on your part and those you have assigned such duties.”

“Since that memorandum was written up until today, nothing has been done to reverse the treatment meted out to those of us invited to join the All Progressives Congress on the strength of a promise that has proven to be false. If anything, those behaviours have actually worsened.

“But more importantly, the party we put in place has failed and continues to fail our people, especially our young people. How can we have a federal cabinet without even one single youth.

West African Examinations Council on Tuesday in Katsina announced the release of the 2017 WASSCE results for private candidates, revealing that a total of 34,664 candidates obtained credits in five subjects and above including English Language and Mathematics.
