murecool: JUST IN: Osinbajo writes IGP, wants ‘false’ allegations linking him to Magu ‘funds’ investigated Nigeria’s Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, has petitioned the Inspector General of Police, Muhammed Adamu, over allegations linking him to funds allegedly stolen by anti-corruption chief, Ibrahim Magu.
An online platform, PointBlank News, run by Jackson Ude, a former director of strategy and communications under President Goodluck Jonathan administration, on July 8, published that Mr Magu embezzled over N39 billion and gave Mr Osinbajo N4 billion for soft landing.
The report claimed that unnamed sources within the panel investigating the suspended EFCC boss “exposed the vice president’s involvement in the scandal.”
“Specifically, Magu was said to have mentioned a N4 billion that he released to the VP based on directives the very day the president left the country for the United Kingdom on medical treatment,” part of the report read.
It did not give details of which of the president’s numerous medical trips to the United Kingdom it referred to and provided no evidence to back the claim.
In an earlier statement, Mr Osinbajo’s spokesperson, Laolu Akande, described the claims as “false and baseless fabrications.”
Mr Osinbajo in a letter to the IGP through his lawyers, Taiwo Osipitan, on Wednesday said the report was untrue and defamatory.
He also copied the Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, in the letter.
“On the 8th of July 2020, Mr Ude wrote and published on his website www.pointblanknews.com materials/stories which are criminally defamatory of our client. We have the instructions of our client that the said publications are injuriously false in every respect,” the lawyer partly said.
Mr Osinbajo also frowned at Mr Ude’s Twitter publication where he again accused the vice president of corruption.
“HushBajo. N4billion. The Ghana investment. Okechukwu Enelamah the erand boy. The secretly recorded night vigil prayers at the Villa Chapel. The letter of resignation written for Buhari in Tunis by Tinubu/Osinabjo while Ba was sick. The scheming to take over. Etc. This na pay back https:///vgIHZlQR6c,” the tweet read.
The tweet was said to have been shared on several social media platforms to make the vice president appear like a “dishonest and disloyal public officer and consequently unfit for the position of the vice president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria which he is occupying,” the official said.
The lawyer asked the IGP to investigate the allegations and if the purveyor was found guilty, the police should initiate criminal proceedings against Mr Ude and his platform to restrain them from future ‘false publications’.
Before now, there have been different unproven reports against Mr Osinbajo in the media.
The Vanguard newspaper in September last year apologised to Mr Osinbajo over a news report alleging that he mismanaged N90 billion said to have been released by the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2019 general elections.
The vice president disclosed then that he was ready to wave his constitutionally guaranteed immunity from prosecution to ensure persons who spread falsehood about him were brought to book.
PREMIUM TIMES reported Mr Magu’s arrest on Monday afternoon at the Wuse II office of the EFCC and how he was taken directly to the Presidential Villa, Abuja, where he appeared before a presidential panel investigating alleged corruption and insurbordination.
The allegations were levelled against him by Mr Malami. He accused Mr Magu of insubordination and re-looting of recovered funds.
The two have clashed several times over the years.
On Tuesday, Mr Magu was suspended from office. He is still being detained while the panel investigating allegations against him is still sitting.
When Comrade Timi Frank made serious allegations of financial impropriety against this man of which he threatened law suit against Timi and Timi dared him, has he file his papers up til now? NO. Tell am to park well joor, make persin see space faint
ganisucks: Reno Omokri, former media aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, yesterday posted a comment on twitter questioning why the office of EFCC chairman is always occupied by a Northerner.
He was reacting to the appointment of Mohammed Umar as the new boss of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in place of suspended acting chairman, Ibrahim Magu.
A lot of people chipped in to discuss the issue. But one contributor who caught our eye was none other than son of veteran thespian and notable actor, Pete Edochie- Yul Edochie. Below is his tweet
My brother @YulEdochie, Buhari is dead afraid of his very shadow, like Brutashi dey fear boko terrorists. Lifeless FC captain, need someone from his tribe to cover all his dirty tracks
jarawa: The Buhari Osinbajo Support Front (BOSF) has tackled Jackson Ude, a former media aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan over claims linking the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo to the suspended Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, Ibrahim Magu.
In a statement signed by its National Coordinator, Liberty Olawale Badmus, the group condemned the claim made by Ude that ‘Magu gave money to the Vice President’.
The statement titled “Magu: Reports linking Osinbajo to stolen EFCC billions another PDP Dubai strategy by fake news merchant Jackson Ude – BOSF” described the allegations as ‘not only an irresponsible lie, but a concocted move to smear campaign against Prof. Yemi Osinbajo.’
Badmus said the allegations were made to tarnish the reputation of the Vice President ahead of 2023 election adding that “He (Ude) will use any and all opportunities his devious mind sees to achieve that. “While he claims knowledge of ongoing Magu investigation, the truth is that Ude has no information whatsoever neither is he connected to any credible source that might hint him about goings-on”.
Badmus added that the allegations were staged to divert attention from the ‘link between PDP leaders and Ramon Olorunwa Abbas aka Hushpuppi.’ On the allegation leveled against Magu, the group said “it is on record that the EFCC chairman never mentioned the Vice President’s name and that all the news by Ude was concocted. Not only is he not close to the proceedings, but he also lacks the credibility of any kind.”
The decision to suspend the acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Ibrahim Magu pending the conclusion of the investigation by a Presidential panel is a testimony to President Muhammadu Buhari's commitment to transparency and accountability.
The Buhari Media Organisation (BMO) said in a statement signed by its Chairman Niyi Akinsiju and Secretary Cassidy Madueke, that the swift response by the President shows that nobody is above the law in the Buhari administration.
"We see the decision to invite Ibrahim Magu to appear before the panel headed by Justice Ayo Salami as yet another proof that there is no sacred cow as far as investigation into allegations of corrupt practices is concerned.
"President Buhari has demonstrated once again that nobody is indeed above the law as even his appointees, no matter how highly placed, can at any time be asked to respond to issues as they arise.
"This is proof that the President is a stickler for due process; he could have fired Magu, he has that prerogative, but because the acting EFCC chairman was accused of committing acts of infractions, he was afforded the due process of fair hearing before an administrative panel.
"We have all seen how the same process was followed in cases that involved former Secretary to Government of the Federation (SGF) Babachir Lawal and the immediate past head of the civil service, Winifred Oyo-Ita", it added.
The group noted that it was out of place for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to gloat over a decision that deserves praise.
"We have heard the gloating by PDP and some of its supporters online and offline, but the joke is really on them because it shows clearly that even the head of the anti-graft agency could be invited to provide answers to knotty issues, unlike what we had in the past.
"We do not know many Presidents would do that, or even see the need to do that. We recall that one-time Central Bank Governor, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi was not even given the opportunity to defend himself before a probe panel when sundry allegations were raised against him, before then President Goodluck Jonathan suspended him outrightly in 2014.
"We also invite Nigerians to remember how former Petroleum Resources Minister, Diezani Alison Madueke blatantly refused to appear before the National Assembly on several occasions without any consequences.
"It got so bad that the Senate, on at least one occasion, asked former President Jonathan to choose between the National Assembly or the minister, before she finally honoured the Senate committee invitation.
"Also, Magu is appearing before a panel headed by a former President of the Appeal Court who was unceremoniously eased out of office by a PDP government, without being given the opportunity to defend himself?
"So we believe PDP should sit this one out and see how the due process really works, even if it means investigating the head of an anti-graft agency".
BMO also reassured Nigerians that President Buhari's war against corruption is still on course.
Boko Haram: Nigerians in Diaspora pass vote of confidence on Buhari, Service Chiefs ON JULY 8, 20202:38 PMIN NEWS Kindly Share This Story:FacebookTwitterEmailWhatsAppPinterestShare … say some Nigerians are making conclusions without proper analysis of security issues facing the country Nigerians in Diaspora Monitoring Group (NDMG) United States Chapter have passed a vote of confidence on President Muhammadu Buhari and his Service Chiefs for their handling of the insecurity situation in the county.
According to the group, the Nigerian military has effectively managed the security breaches confronting the nation, thwarting the intent of detractors. In a statement signed by its President, Cosmos Collins, on Wednesday, NDMG said it drew this conclusion after extensively reviewing the prevailing security situation in the country. According to the group, the recent charge by President Buhari has spurred the military heads to perform even better than they had done since the inception of his administration. Hence, NDMG faulted those jumping into conclusion without proper analysis of the security situation in the country, adding that the call for theService Chiefs’ dismissal is merely propaganda. While warning against seeking strange foreign solutions, the group, however, recommended that Nigerians channel energy into leadership, stability and proper financing for the military. Read the full statement below:
The Nigerians in Diaspora Monitoring Group, United States Chapter, has extensively reviewed the prevailing security situation in Nigeria and has come to the conclusion to pass a vote of confidence in President Muhammadu Buhari and Military Service Chiefs for the manner in which they are handling the insecurity challenge in the country. We particularly commend President Buhari for the recent push that he gave the security chiefs because we see this as his way of jolting them to perform even better than they had done since the inception of his administration. A leader can only pressure his lieutenants with such intensity when he is confident in their ability to deliver. In our view, these military leaders remain the best in the sub-region as they have been able to largely contain an internationally-backed terrorists’ insurgency. In spite of the near absence of advanced technological equipment like drones to fight t, the military has been able to do so much under President Buhari and the Service Chiefs. What we discovered in the course of reviewing the situation is that Mr President and the Service Chiefs are constantly evaluated by organizations and individuals who do not factor in all the fundamentals driving insecurity in Nigeria. For instance, there is a penchant to disregard the ignoble roles being played by countries whose activities directly or indirectly support Boko Haram to wage its war against Nigeria. There is also the failure to acknowledge the international failure in leadership that should have been provided by the United Nations, which as a global body should have taken steps to cut off international support for Boko Haram by censuring countries and organizations that are sponsoring the terrorists. The expectation is that the United Nations would have by now midwife an international coalition to mop up the remnants of Boko Haram that have scattered into the territories of Nigeria’s neighbours as they flee the effective military operation launched against them. This large-scale migration of terrorists to the region has been responsible for the criminal elements that attempt some daring attacks after it became obvious that the long stay of Gen TY Buratai, the Chief of Army Staff in the theatre of operation resulted in the killing of over 1, 700 terrorists in less than two months. A natural consequence of this development is the resort to pro-Boko Haram propaganda that manifest as frantic demands for President Buhari to fire the very security chiefs that have consistently helped Nigeria to ward off the terrorist activities of the group. Our expert advised that the intent of this campaign is in three folds. The first is to boost Boko Haram morale, the second is to demoralize government troops and to incite the populace against the military leadership and government.
The Nigerians in Diaspora Monitoring Group, United States Chapter, therefore, urge Nigerians must remain confident in their military leaders, men and women who have shown uncommon zeal and dexterity in handling the insecurity situation in the country. With the benefit of information at our disposal, we came to the logical conclusion to pass a vote of confidence on President Buhari and the military leaders because they have effectively managed the security breaches in the country and thwarting the intent of Nigeria’s detractors. We warn those seeking strange foreign solutions to be reminded that many countries having the same problems have not achieved a tenth of what President Buhari and these Service Chiefs have achieved. We rather recommend that Nigerians think about leadership and stability and proper financing for the military to enable the armed forces to consolidate on the gains made so far.
Shehuyinka: IBRAHIM Magu, the embattled acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is spending the night in detention at the Police Force Criminal Investigations Department, (Force CID), The ICIR can authoritatively report.
Magu was on Monday arrested by security operatives attached to the inter-agency panel set up by President Muhammadu Buhari and taken in for questioning at its offices at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
A reliable police source told the ICIR that the acting EFCC Chairman was interrogated for hours until late Monday evening when the panel rose from the day’s sitting.
However, to Magu’s utter surprise, rather than being let go after all the questioning, he was asked to be detained at the Force CID in Area 10, Abuja. It was confirmed to our reporter that Magu arrived that facility late on Monday night.
Blogsphere: I have been inundated with phone calls by those who felt my last week outburst against my party's guber candidate was rather harsh. Rather than controvert my submissions, they tend to pander to undue sentiments to rein me into dropping my gauntlet.
This I found somewhat awkward. Between conscience and Party, I will opt for my conscience over party. While party plays a temporary platform for acquisition and abuse of power, conscience defines the content and character of a man in his interaction with fellow beings and human emanations.
While I am in constant touch with my conscience, my party abandoned me as it sold away my right of being heard in its negotiation to gift a "stranger" the party's ticket. That is a bad omen for our collective sufferance and a sad commentary for democracy. It is a contradiction that leaves a gaping hole in the heart of proper democratic practice.
I have read all manner of responses to my principled stance. Some called me a mole, others said I am a spy, yet others called me unprintable names. For those who know me, they are aware that I am not an Oshiomhole's lackey. In 2016, as an appointee of the then Governor Oshiomhole, I raised serious queries about the Obaseki project. When I joined others to form R-APC before i joined the PDP in July 2018, I was not a mole.
As a member of the APC, I criticised the internal inconsistencies in the party and challenged the lacklustre leadership of Chief Oyegun-led APC then. During the 2019 elections, I was a regular guest on television programmes to interrogate the under-performance of the Buhari-led APC government. At those times, naysayers didn't see me as neither a mole nor spy, but a good party man who kept PDP in the front burner of national discourse.
My current position is informed by a number of factors. First, it is utterly wrong for a party to surreptitiously surrender its apparati, privileges, structures and "ideological" stratophere to a new entrant as though there were no persons in the party.
Within 24 hours, scheduled primary elections were postponed, and all processes leading to the scheduled event were disrupted. If the urge was dictated by altruistic intention to feature Godwin Obaseki on account of strong and result-driven leadership, or performance, one could have understood, but anywhere I turned, the motivation was that Godwin Obaseki has state funds to fund the campaigns. Should that be a selling point if truly we are serious-minded opposition?
Only three months ago, the state chapter of the PDP lambasted Governor Obaseki's lacklustre leadership in the state, and scored him F9 in all the critical sectors of the Edo economy; health, education, human capital development, infrastructure, and economy. The party mocked his job creation initiative that had yielded no positive result other than recruiting his driver and a few domestic staff.
We raised queries about his style of governance that dwells so much on Memorandum of Understanding without concrete implementation. In 2017, I wrote eloquently about the plans of the government based on those espoused ideas, but three years later, they remain a pipe dream, some kind of "OBUBUYAYA" as often said in local parlance, yet, you still want me to support such a leadership because he was gifted the party's ticket? My conscience bleeds.
What has changed from the abysmal scorecard of the Obaseki's governance barely three months ago? For me, that was a holistic appraisal of a regime that has become too combative for the wrong reasons, thus putting the state wrongly in the news as one troubled, restive environment.
The PDP also challenged his academic claims in 2016 up to the courts until the court said the party filed out of time.
This time round, I was expecting the PDP to direct Governor Obaseki to join another party, to create a stronger opportunity for the PDP to fly with older, loyal party members, since his exit from the APC will weaken part of its internal structure. Instead, the party swallowed all its initial vomit, embellished them in a contradictory and double standard manner, and grabbed Governor Obaseki's trousers by the pocket. It was dollar rain, but it hurts the very soul of the party.
I have been receiving calls from all quarters, read the boring intervention from the national headquarters of the PDP on the APC campaign council. I found the tenor utterly nauseating.
What you accuse the APC of doing including adding up names of persons who have queries to answer also apply to the PDP. You complained about Ize-iyamu's allegations, but you have forgotten it was a PDP government that sent campaign funds to him for the 2015 election. You point one finger forward, three others are pointing backward at you.
That is the immorality, lethargy and subterfuge of Nigeria's party-based democracy, where often times, the opposition is at sea, to decipher what the real issues should be. Pastor Ize-Iyamu's comportment, diligence at delivering responsibilities, sense of organisation and marksmanship, are direct opposite of Governor Obaseki's combative style, laced with blackmail, pretentiousness and over santimoniousness.
Democracy talks about constructive engagement and collective bargaining. It preaches inclusion not exclusion. It reinforces participation, involvement and collectivity. Governor Obaseki is the opposite of what an ideal democratic situation should be. His politics is destructive, exclusive, and demonising. He acts alone, intoxicated by the sheer banality of being called the leader of the party, and glamourises in the vainglorious euphoria that he owns life and death.
He demolishes houses, terrorises the populace, intimidates opponents and radicalises the youths as a mark of magisterial presence. He dishes out ingratitude in place of gratitude, a simple thank you becomes abominable in his elocution, as he gleefully spends tax payers money to fight imaginary wars. Such a candidate cannot enjoy my support. I had thought the party would interrogate him on all fronts before it gifted the tickets to him, but alas, in an age of money politics, the pockets speak louder than the mouth.
Directing my Chairman, ward 5 Okpella to suspend me or scouting for my polling scores in the 2019 election, would not suffice because my votes and those of my supporters cannot be suspended. For Edo's combustible politics of late, occasioned by the intemperate response by Governor Obaseki, it is only human to have a man with subliminal humility and peace to assume the leadership of governance in the state.
This is why Osagie Ize-Iyamu fits my endorsement. The man for whom Oshiomhole went above board to call Ize-Iyamu unprintable names has since shown his true colours. Pretenders cannot hide their traits for too long, something must betray their real self. Dr Pius Odubu served the state for eight years, Obaseki, a succeeding government refused to pay his legitimate severance allowance.
He fought against Dr. Odubu's nomination as NDDC chairman, ditto for Victor Ekhator, both of them proud Edo sons. When Honourable Samson Osagie lost his appointment in the Space Technology agency, the Obaseki group celebrated. Till date, 14 duly elected lawmakers are still roaming the streets because the conquistador in Osadebe Avenue won't allow them to be inaugurated.
Where is the place of the Edo collective in the scheme of affairs in Nigeria. Insecurity has taken over the state, whereas security vote has continued to increase geometrically. The roads in my limestone community of Okpella have remained mere eyesore, begging for completion from where Oshiomhole took them, yet, Okpella contributes hugely to the internally generated revenue.
Thrice, Governor Obaseki came to promise my people, raised their hopes, and dashed their hopes without qualms. Is that a candidate that should earn my vote? Tufiakwa!. I will come your way again.
Signed... PRINCE KASSIM AFEGBUA MEMBER, PDP WARD 5, OKPELLA. FORMER HONOURABLE COMMISSIONER FOR INFORMATION AND ORIENTATION, EDO STATE.

valentineuwakwe: Amid growing concerns over Nigeria’s debt profile , the Minister of Finance , Budget and Planning , Mrs Zainab Ahmed, has said the dual reality of COVID- 19 pandemic and the drop in the price of oil in the international market has made it inevitable for Nigeria to keep borrowing from external bodies. She stated that before the global health and economic challenges, Nigeria had been grappling with low revenue , noting that the crises had put the country in a difficult situation , which had made it difficult for the government to meet some of its obligations . The minister spoke recently at a webinar organised by the Nigerian Economic Summit Group , Fiscal Policy Roundtable and Tax Investment and Competitiveness Policy Commission and was anchored by a tax expert, Taiwo Oyedele , who is the Fiscal Policy Partner and West Africa Tax Leader at PricewaterhouseCooper. The minister, who was represented by the Special Adviser to the President on Finance and Economy , Mrs Sarah Alade , said government was doing its best to make sure the revenue base was broadened and expenditure reduced . She noted that if citizens also participated by paying taxes and doing the right things , it would go a long way in solving the country ’s problems, especially raising revenues . Meanwhile , many economists and prominent Nigerians have expressed reservations over the country ’s rising debt liabilities . As of March, the Vice Chairman, Senate Committee on Local and Foreign Debts , Senator Muhammad Enagi , said the country’ s total debt would have risen to about N 33tn after the Senate approved the President’ s request to take another $22. 7bn foreign loan. But, Ahmed said , “ We ’ve had to grapple with low revenue , even before the pandemic. We had high debt, weak infrastructure base, low human capital and low revenue that is largely dependent on the foreign exchange earned from oil. So, there are many things we have loved to do that we cannot do. “ Due to the global economic slowdown and the revenue issues, what we are expecting is a GDP that would contract , in the best case scenario, by about 4.4 per cent and in the worst case scenario, it could be about eight per cent or more. “ We are in a very difficult situation but we are trying to manage that because if nothing is done , up to about 21 million jobs could also be affected by the impact of the pandemic . So, with all these statistics , we cannot overemphasise the importance of raising revenue .” She said in addressing the situation , government had come up with key fiscal measures that government could not but borrow to accomplish . She identified them to include the 12- month economic sustainability plan to mitigate the effect of COVID -19 ; measures to support the private sector , which includes the implementation of the Finance Act 2020 aimed at supporting MSMEs and strategic industries affected by the pandemic . She added, “ We also have the establishment of an N86 bn intervention fund for health infrastructure ; conversion of World Bank Regional disease surveillance system enhancement programme to support COVID- 19 intervention in the states ; accelerating infrastructural development ; preparation of a Fiscal Stimulus Bill to provide legislative backing for the fiscal stimulus packages that we have; deregulation of the price of refined petroleum products – we know how important that is, given the amount of money that we spent in that area. “ We also have the adoption of financing plan for the power sector recovery programme ; incentivising the use of up to N2tn of pension funds for roads and housing development , supporting and encouraging states to achieve state fiscal transparency and accountability, sustainability and other World Bank programme actions in order to access external support and we are collaborating with state governments on affordable mass housing. “ To achieve all these, we will have to keep mobilising external funding and seek debt relief. We continue to engage with the multilateral and donor agencies to access additional funding for crisis response , we seek moratorium from official partners for some of the loans that we have and support arrangement to secure commercial debt relief . “ If the revenue had performed, then we probably will not be seeking this much support from external sources, we know we cannot but keep working at generating more revenue so that the economy can be better for it. ” Other panellists were the Chairman, Nigeria Governors’ Forum , Dr Kayode Fayemi; Chairman, FIRS/ JTB, Muhammad Nami ; IMF ’ s Senior Resident Representative for Nigeria, Jesmin Rahman ; and the Country Director , Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Mr Paulin Basinga .

As soon as nta starts broadcasting EPL,there would be a steady decline in the viewership and interest. Obio4real: The Cross River State Commissioner for Health and Chairman Cross River State Covid-19 Response Taskforce Dr. Betta Edu has called on Cross Riverians to expect positive Covid-19 cases anytime soon following the Federal Government of Nigeria resolve to lift the ban on interstate travel and opening of the airport, Grassroot Reporters reports.
Recall that Cross River State is the only state in Nigeria yet to record a confirmed case of the virus.
The Federal Government had, on July 1, 2020 lifted the ban on interstate movement.
Dr Edu stated this in Calabar as she decried the massive influx of people into the state over the last 6 days. She said hundreds of persons have moved into the state and more than anytime we are at risk.
According to her, the influx of people into the state since the re-opening of the interstate border is extremely overwhelming, adding that it poses a very serious public health concern especially in the fight against contending the dreaded Covid-19 pandemic.
She further stressed that most entrants into the state including some almajiris that came in about four days ago in their numbers are from Covid-19 epid center, and that this calls for worry. The state is urgently intensifying plans to set up more stringent public health preventive measures following the development stating that Cross Riverians should expect a new normal. However, she call for calm adding that it is time for all Cross Riverians to take precaution as they engage in their daily activities. According to her, everyone must be on alert and remain safe in this second phase of the pandemic.
"Please don't feel panic, don’t feel stigmatized, walk into our new test centers, get tested, get protected and together we can overcome this virus" Dr. Betta Edu.
osinbanjoisaliar: Probably one of the biggest and controversial topic you've seen this year,Mr Reno Omokri just dropped a big bombshell recently by asking a big question. He even promised to give five thousand naira to whoever gives him the answer
Reno Omokri is a nigerian business man and a social media influencer, the question he asked about Hushpuppi and Bola Tinubu is quite tricky and confusing but in answering that question we need to figure out who both parties are.
Hushpuppi is a young and rich nigerian man who is well known for his flamboyant and showy lifestyle on social media, he is a big fan of Gucci products. recently, he was arrested in Dubai alongside his friends for crime related issues and handed over to interpol in US for more investigations, many people believe Hushpuppi is a yahoo-boy: a yahoo-boy is anybody who goes online claiming to be what they are not in other to rob people of their hard earn money.
While Bola Tinubu is a former lagos state governor with enomous achievements. Tinubu who is rumoured to be craving to lead nigeria as a president has a lot of controversies surrounding his riches, some people said he enriched himself with money belonging to the people while some people say he is getting richer with revenue of lagos state even after leaving office. Do you remember the bullion van saga?
In one way or the other, both of them have close similarities. Both Hushpuppi and Bola Tinubu have wealth that cannot be fully traced.
However, Tinubu has not been charged for financial crimes while Hushpuppi is facing one right now.

Governor Ganduje is to lead the 49 member National Campaign Council for APC in September Governorship election in Edo State.
The APC which is gradually recovering from the crisis that hit it last week and has formed a strong campaign committee to ensure that Ize-Iyamu is elected as the Governor of Edo State in September.
Other top APC members in that committee are Senate Chief Whip Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, Former Secretary to the Federal Government, Babachair Lawal, former National Chairmen of APC, John Oyegun and Adams Oshiomhmole.
Also, Governors Babajide Sanwolu and Yahaya Bello made the list. Mr. Omokiri's statement on Ganduje's appointment is one many Nigerians still remember. Ganduje was alleged to have collected bribe from contractors according to the video that surfaced online before 2019 election. He won his re-election as the Governor of Kano State with a slight margin.
