CAN ANYONE GIVE ME THE BEST SKINCARE TIPS FOR OILY SKIN?They say oily skin wrinkles the slowest but in the meantime i am plagued with ever shiny face and visible pores. Makeup hardly ever lasts more than an hour or two before it starts slidding south. Is there anyone like me but has conquered the slug? HELP!!!

Best for oily skin. Lemon used as a natural cleanser, grapes will soften the skin and egg whites will tighten it.
Materials:
Grapes
Lemon
Egg whites
Procedure:
Squeeze the grapes extract into a bowl. Slice the lemon and extract the juice in the same bowl. Add egg white and mix them well. Apply into the face and leave it for 20 minutes. Don�t be alarmed if you feel a little tingles in your skin, because of the egg whites. Rinse face with warm water.

1)You need to get "Matte mosturizer" this controls excess oil,
2)If you do not have bad skin, spots etc, you might not need a foundation, but if you do Make sure you look for a "Matte Foundation" as well
3) Mac has a powder foundation Its called " Studio fix) its both foundation and powder in one, it covers and its not too oily,

I have oily skin as well and i use clay masks twice a week by Alpha Beta Hydroxy, i use elizabeth arden's oil mattte lotion, I also use witch hazel as a toner after i was my face and i use olay or st- ives as a face wash, neutrogena has a shine control facewash that works, but last year i just stopped wearing foundations/powders period i don't like the feeling i know my face gets shinny but i carry oil absorbing pads, but bare minerals and make up forever make primers that reduces oil but the clay masks help alot, or queen helen's mint julep mask does well too, they also have a good natural face scrub oatmeal and honey, but for now i my staple is the clay mask, witch hazel, and the elizabeth arden lotion, and i switch up facewashes ever so often depending on season and i don't wear foundations i usually will stick to blush or eyemake up, i live in houston, tx so the weather gets really hot and bad pollution , so the less i have on my face the better i feel

I have oily skin which I have managed to contain, so I believe that am in a position to chip in.

Rule number 1: Do not sleep with make-up on. This applies to every skin type, but the consequences of not cleansing one's face before bedtime is most prominent in oily skin because it has a tendency to attract dirt, dust and bacteria.

Rule number 2: Do not prick your face when you spot a pimple. Let it be! The more you try to do away with it, the more prone your skin will be to scars. The best you can do is to gently apply fresh lemon on the particular pimple or spot before bedtime.

Rule number 3: Avoid products that promise you instant results. . . . . such as "Visible results in 10 days". Patience is a virtue necessary to attaining good skin.

Rule number 4: Take lots of water (the greatest beauty secret), apples (take an apple a day - they act as detoxifiers) and plenty of water melons.

Rule number 5: Try to stick to a particular beauty product. It is the [i]regular [/i]use of it that brings about the results.

One of the best ways to deal with oily skin is to drink lots of water. Ensure that you take minimum oil in your diet. Try to do regular workouts till your body sweats. Wash your face regularly.

I also have oily skin; You should use milk of magnesia to mattefy my face before applying makeup, it also helps reduce acne. or a primer to reduce the shine. You can also use calamine lotion as a substitute

Blotting pads to reduce the oil, but you can use tissue as a substitute.

My dear, I feel ya. When I make up just before I hit the door, my makeup starts floating like akara!

One thing that has helped me is using a mattifying Primer.
Iman and Boots No 7 primers have been effective.

I control the oil by wiping my face with a 60:40 mix of water and apple cider vinegar. Helped with the open pores issue.

Then moisturisers matter too. I've gone high and low but currently sticking to St. Ives naturally smooth lotion with AHA.
