Is Looking Good, Related To Pride? by Region(m): 3:41pm On Sep 04, 2008
Apparently, i love dressing like an executive Director. Bt the fact is, am still a student. Most people feel am proud. And it makes me mad at times. Deep inside of me, am humble. Bt wit a proud look. Has my apparent look got anything, to do with pride? I love fashion and believe in the saying that goes "DRESS THE WAY YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE ADDRESSED". And i believe one day i would get there(executive). So what are your views on this. The bible say's "PRIDE GOES BEFORE FALL". Am confused ur views are most welcomed.

For a lot of people (at least those i know) yes, it has alot to do with pride.
You take pride in how you dress.

Not necessary pride.
For comfort, for expression, for fashion vogue, for many reasons.

You like to dress like an execute? Might mean you like to look professional. You love feeling professional, etc.

looking good is good business and has nothing to do with pride. the way you look and dress is a reflection of how much you appreciate yourself. if you dont appreciate yourself enough chances are that you will unconsciously dress in order to get lost in the crowd. if you take yourself too seriously chances are that you will be unneccessarily careful when you dress and might lose the point. best thing is to look the best that makes you happy and dont care whatever anyone else thinks. come to think of it if you cant have control over what goes on YOUR OWN body and love it, then u got soemthing to deal with. if people dont like how you dress the good for them because its your body not theirs.

hey, go for it. as look as it doesn't become arrogance. i'm very thoughtful with the fashions i wear to present myself. your outward appearance is what pple see first, right?

I think pride is a negative word so . . maybe it should be confidence!! There's this confidence that comes with the fact that you know how well dressed you are. People automatically treat you with respect and well, you have to carry yourself with a certain amount of dignity.

So no, it doesnt make you proud!!

my neighbor once told my mum that even if am going to the next street i usually dress like someone that has a meeting with the president. please let them say anything they want to say. close your ears. its your money not theirs, if the cant get used to it, then they should leave the area for you.

If you don't look  down on others just because of your dressing, then I don't see anything bad.

Please you're self, keep dressing well!

Lets get real pple i'm nt sayin lookin gud is entirely out of pride but i cant deny dat its related in most cases. Look @ hw kids dress @ malls 2day,like pple redlight district wivout even noein it! D guyz all dress d same. . . . .so so cliché. And yes u dnt hv 2 doll up 2 c ur neybor ,dat jst blows. Pride u say goes b4 a fall. 4 instance pple wld feel less sori 4 u if a danfo ripped ur clothes away( as it happened 2 my cousin last xmas) coz u only paid attentn 2 urself/ur looks and nt even tryin 2 fit into ur yeye environment. Jst dnt wear it coz its expensive and u need pple 2 noe u can wir xpensive stuff dat fit,dnt wir it 2 show u gat d curviest bossoms alive and dont wear it 2 taunt d men(dats jst rung). dat sed,hp u get my point dat IT is related 2 pride
