Going offtopic is against the rules and might cause the deletion of some of your posts. There are times moderators make mistakes by closing a thread instead of another or by locking and linking a thread to another that has nothing to do with it.

Of course I'll be pleased if you come up to show me where I have made a mistake, but when it's done inside that particular thread it becomes a hot mess. Offtopics can't be tolerated, so I myself must be cautioned.

Why don't you check your posts? Perhaps your threads have been moved to a different section. We mods can't delete threads, we can only move to recycle bin, but only when they are spams!

When are you going to understand that moderators can't delete They can only move and lock topics. Besides wetin concern me with romance section? Perharps the topic wasn't so interesting, or it already existed, or it was simply moved to its appropriate section.

I can't. If it's for a credit purpose and for students then it's right there where it is: in Education. And even if it was here I'd have to lock it because:

1. Those links are considered spam. You are advertising a site on another person's site. It's rude and disrespectful.

Did you not read segoye2's posts, in which he stated his grievances, before deleting them?
If the answer to both questions is in the affirmative, then why does he require a re-post in this specific thread, if only to bring to your notice his grievance which you are already aware of.? Such a move is redundant in my opinion and does nothing towards addressing the issues raised.

Yet, if only to fulfill all righteousness, I will humor your request on his behalf.

If this is the problem then I can't be of help. I have never taken credit for that thread and I am not interested in doing so. In my initial post I stated boldly that the original thread was being closed and I also gave reasons. If segoye2 is more worried about the copyright rather than the fact that the thread still exists, I myself doubt the importance he gives to that thread.

Does is matter who the first poster is or our (the admin and mine) intention to preserve that thread and give the chance to the Yorubas of this forum to have a meeting zone?

Anyways I'll speak to the admin and ask if he can merge segoye's first post to the current thread, although I personally don't see any issue at hand.

Despite you are being nice by reporting segoye's issue, he must come come out himself. It's good that everybody stands for themselves at the right place. It's not your job to be his spokeman so if you are directly in touch with him, give him the link to this thread and let him address the issue himself.
