It’s very very very very very very very very very PAINFUL.  Plus down there is going to be red and puffy. Yikes!! shocked cry cry

Not sure why I let my friends “lead me astray”.  It was like “I dare you” and stupid me took up the offer

oh yea, and don't do Eyebrow threading. It's really painful, seriously

~ grin Lol . . Ha Yah Yai . . The first time is always a killer w/ Bikini Wax & Eyebrow threading!! I havent forgotten my First experience Till date!! cry . . .I use to be a real chicken when it came to any Beauty Regime that hands out pain. . .i must say am impressed w/ meself lately . . throw in the towel . .

~IMO,After a couple of Visits,Bikini wax is not as painful depending if you're a regular client. . i've found out the pain varies depending on the skill of pulling & Who's pulling!

~Am facinated w/ Eyebrow threading, after my first time,i swore i wont be having it done Eva again but i prefer threading to Waxing my brow now & I've found meself going for tidy-up threading on my brows every 2-3 wks. . .doesnt hurt That much when the hairs are not fully grown . .i still twitch every now & again & stiffle a groan tho wink

shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked wax kini? cheesy

what about nads?
Re: Warning. Say No To Bikini Waxing by Outstrip(f): 10:55pm On Apr 07, 2009
funny you asked about nads because that was the first time I tried waxing myself. I went for it cause the yeye woman kept emphasing that it did not hurt like traditional waxing. Let's just say that it drew blood when I did it. I will not touch nads again even if they pay me. The kiwi chamomile lotion that came with it was good though. I wish I can buy that buy itself.

waxing isn't really that painful if it is done repeatedly. at least in my case, i do it repeatedly and it is less painful and sometimes i dont feel the pain any more
Re: Warning. Say No To Bikini Waxing by vanitty: 8:28am On Apr 08, 2009
Never done it before never will i . . . . .
I have tried the eyebrow waxing before, not only was it very painful i developed some spots in the area so that has put me off any waxing whatsoever
Re: Warning. Say No To Bikini Waxing by Yets(f): 1:26pm On Apr 08, 2009
I can never have a bikini wax,  ive only had my eye brows waxed b4 n trust me they hurt so i cant imagine wot a bikini one would fell like,  God forbid!!!,  i have tears comin out of my eyes all d time n d chinese girl always makes fun of me (in her chinese accent) "y u cry cry all d time" lol,  im like im not cryin,  its just water,  I'd rather wax than thread,  think threading is one of d worst punishments ever!!!
Re: Warning. Say No To Bikini Waxing by topup: 4:27am On Apr 09, 2009
And no one has even mentioned in-growns. I think because of our hair-type, black women should try to shave/wax less but groom and trim often because, that way you can get rid of a lot of hair, but not ruin your bump-free skin.

I was watching on tv how this dark skinned woman was so used to waxing, but then she had developed terrible bumps as a result. The bumps were awful.

I'm not sure if there are any black women out here who can testify to no bumps when they shave their legs or their bikini area. It's just a tough situation, no hair is in tongue
Re: Warning. Say No To Bikini Waxing by SeanT21(f): 5:36am On Apr 09, 2009
What is threading?? Never heard of it!! shocked
Re: Warning. Say No To Bikini Waxing by Yets(f): 5:40am On Apr 09, 2009
mostly indians specialise in dat,  they use a strip of thread with both hands and ask u to hold woteva bit u want to thread,  i think its quite artistic,  stil dont understand how they get dat nice arch when they thread ur eyebrows tho,  it make some annoyin noise n it hurts like hell!!!!! angry angry angry

~There are!! You just met one virtually!! cheesy No If's No Buts. . .No Bumps!! grin I'd like to think it all depends on the Individual's Skin Type too. . .I prefer using Hair Removal cream to 'shaving' my bits or legs  wink
Re: Warning. Say No To Bikini Waxing by LadyT(f): 7:15pm On Apr 09, 2009
Our hair is thick so extra care needs to be taken. I sometimess get brazilian waxes. The key is to trim the hair short its less painful. A day after the wax use an exfloliator every few days to help prevent ingrowning hairs. I wouldnt dream of doing it myself though
Re: Warning. Say No To Bikini Waxing by Riskie(f): 7:22pm On Apr 09, 2009
I would never get a bikini wax. I heard a girl did it and the waxer removed some of her skin . . . ouch! I know that it gives a smooth effect but it seems horrifying what could happen if it is done wrong. undecided
