Wow..... its obvious something went wrong somewhere. But even if it was ur host that informed them, just ignore. I kno its not easy but try and calm down. Go for d interview and hear what they av to say. If u r pardoned God be praised and if not accept it like that and av ur baby in naija. One thing i realise about many Nigerians abroad is that we over here av more info than them. But some will ask further for more explanation while some will do oversabi and end up causing problem for d person. Some font believe one can actually apply for visa and declare purpose as childbirth while some will say hide the pregnancy to enter because they think if one declares, its automatic deportation etc I pray all will be well and let Gods will be done. Cheers
good day everyone... i have was pregnant for my 4th after 9 weeks around 1 Like |

My dear leave pple and their talk. My son turned 4months two days ago and that was when i put his bum bum on d floor. A friend came visitin yesterday evenin and was like ah 4months he isnt sittin and i replied her "he ll sit at his own time" she noticed my tone and kept her mouth shut. Just keep puttin ur baby to sit but pls watch d back not to over bend. U can also get indomie carton, sit d baby inside and stuff d front with teddy bears or small pillow. If ur baby is tall like mine tear out d leg part of d carton so d legs can stretch out well but pls dont leave ur baby unattended while doin d sittin practice Cheers uote author=zimunachimdi post=49881627]Wonderful mothers,u guys are doing wonders here. i appreciate you all. in case i have not officially register here. i am a ftm with lo almost four months.. my worry,my lo has not started sitting unaided,we thought he will be perfect by 3mnths but we are almost 4 and no show. when practicing,he tends to lean forward thereby bending his waist and falls after some secs. people started asking me at 2mnths plus whether he has started sitting.pls mamas,is there something wrong? or have i missed something? another thing is,at our 14wks immunization, his weight was 6.6kg, weighed 4kg at birth. my question,is it not too small?

Their immunisation is mondays to fridays but for rotavirus and pcv its Wednesdays and thursdays. PCV is now free as well but it was explained why they still take money for the other type of PCV. This means that they give two types there, one u pay for (10,500) and the other is free so its d mothers choice to pick one. I told d nurse nobody will see fre pcv and take d one that reauires payment and she explained to me that the free one has 10 extrigents (abi wetin dem dey call am) and the paid one has 13 extrigents. That they r still experimenting d free pcv but that mothers dont kno, all they care about is that its free so give my child is all they hear lol. Rotavirus is 7k there. If u r takin the paid pcv and rota only pls dont pay any money down stairs. Just walk upstairs, take a number and ask for the room they administer special vaccine ( thats what they call it) u will pay for them at d point of collection. If its d free pcv and any other like penta and d rest, pay 200 naira downstairs b4 going upstairs. Cheers quote author=Tojued post=49505873]Good evening everyone. Abuja mommies please who knows FMC Jabi immunisation days? Someone told me Tuesday and Thursday but I remember we took our BCG there on a Monday, and there were older children around for their own shots. Also how do I make sure they give my baby PCV and Rota? I guess I should ask before making payment? I don't want repeat of our 12 weeks where I did not know clinic did not give those shots. They did not even mention anything, I was taken completely unawares when I got home and saw only two out of 4 shots were ticked. @quote] 3 Likes 2 Shares |

Thanks Zaynie for d reminder cos i did d palm oil stuff for my 1st son last week too and cough disappeared. He so loves to take it but i guess its because of d sugar. After givin him a teaspoon he ll say "mama mmmm yummy" and ask for more then cry when i refuse. He passed d cough to his baby bro of 7weeks old and i had to give him a little of it too by puttin a tip of my finger into d oil and rubbing a little on his tongue and he has not coughed till today (ofcourse without hubby's knowledge lol) We sure do av many native stuff that works. quote author=ozycy post=47969839] Lol same here. The first time I tried that Palmoil and sugar, fear just grip me and I almost gave up cos the tiny quantity I gave her couldn't have made any difference plus I didn't have st Loius cube sugar. I read again about Palmoil and salt (heated salt), as the cough persisted, I decided to try it, both times I gave it to her, she baff me with vomit immediately the thing entered her mouth but I didn't give up, I gave her another one again and the cough stopped instantly and reoccurred the next day then I gave her the second dose and that was the end of the cough. Na 12 midnight I dey do all this practical when everyone was fast asleep and the cough was so much that she couldn't sleep. MY CONFESSION ![]() |

Wow..... U brought back memories. This method has been known to work for ages. Growin up my mum never gave any other remedy for cough but this sugar/palm oil remedy and i remember so well that anytime i or my siblings had cough once my mum gives us this, its bye bye to d cough till further notice. Thanks dear quote author=meenagiggs post=47640217] Zaynie wrote: "get a bowl with a lid ( I used that tiny Gerber glass jar) - crush a cube of sugar in it ( the woman insisted it should be St Louis o). - add palmoil to it so that it is neither too thick nor too loose. Give him half a spoon. The coughing will subside for like 2-3 hours. Let me know whether it works or not so I can either shut my mouth or spread the gospel ."
2 Likes 1 Share |

Pls the name of d IUD. uote author=DrAda post=45852444] hehehe, kinda reminds me of how I got pregnant for my second child even without seeing my period. Play it safe, get one of the contraceptives. Personally, I wait for about a month for my body to settle after child both and then I visit my doctor to insert an iucd. Did it after my second child. Removed it 3 years later and got pregnant in a month. Gave birth to the third one and reinserted. It is still in me for almost 4 years. Planning to remove it soon since we are planning for another baby.

All hail Vivianobas ![]() But my dear d person maybe sayin d truth ooo. Someone was sent back from Chicago POE about 4-5 days ago cos of cheap bill. Though not MIHS but another hospital that has like MIHS deal. This one no be dem say oooo. It happened live. So i guess its d cbp officer one meets. I came in without any issh and had my 1st in MIHS too. But this poe na just Gods intervention. quote author=vivianobas post=45492709]Hi Mismarshal, it will interest you to know that I started this whole MIHS thing on nairaland after I delivered. I can authoritatively tell you that your friend didn't tell you the truth about why she was turned back at POE. MIHS maternity package was not subsidized by the government but was rather created for low earning citizens/immigrants. I have travelled to the US five times since my delivery and no immigration officer has requested to see my payment receipt. I know a lot of people benefited from MIHS maternity package while it lasted and hope they will come online soon to corroborate my claim.

Not true dear. The 2888 included every test neccessary and also d hearing test. No extra bill. So why will someone refuse what is free? Some lab tests and hearing test being refused by some naija mamas was done in Houston and I think Atl also not MIHS Pple just assumed that it was because of Nigerians but i can assure u we were nothing in number compared to mexicans that cross d boder to av their babies at MIHS. They did not stop attending to only international patients. Check d website, if u r not a resident of Arizona or maricopa county then they wont accept the patient. quote author=LadyGuinivere post=45286062] I read it on this thread that mihs stopped taking on Nigerian of sins The one that I remember well is that we refuse to run basic important tests like hearing tests and we refuse to obey doctor's instructions. It haff tay and no be today gist
4 Likes |
