I never expected a positive answer, it is not easy anywhere, but he should stop discouraging people that wants to come. I get your point

Bro, since you've refused to understand what most of the people over there are trying to say and you're insisting they're only discouraging people from hitting from the goldmine, i'd suggested you save you breathe and move over to uae, only then can you tell us here if truly they meant well for us or otherwise. If you're not ready to go, I suggest you hold ur peace, bcoz even those who moved recently are sounding same warning and you're bent to listen to those who've been there for over 8yrs. Just know one thing, it's only a stubborn fly that follows the corpse to grave, continue arguing and don't learn from their stories.

Someone asked one minor but important question here, all those jobs justi4jesu is posting here, how many Nigerians do you think have been employed in those adverts

Hmmm, again I'll advise any still hend-bent on travelling to uae should do so, BUT should please leave something to fall back on in naija just in case uae plans did not work out.

I wish I could like this post repeatedly.

You couldn't have said it any better.

What we all fail to understand is that settling and surviving in another country (esp as Nigerians) has never been easy and will never be easy unless our leaders and Nigerians in diaspora do something to redeem the seriously damaged image of this country.

So whoever that is leaving d shores of Nigeria should have this in mind before leaving and while in his/her migrated country whether UAE or not.

The bolded is what I've always emphasize on especially where you said Nigerians in diaspora, bcoz it's obvious are leaders wont do anything about this as they enjoy it

The purpose of this thread is to support, encourage and guide others on the UAE journey... But the last 10 pages of the thread have been dedicated to defeat that purpose... Where did these set of followers appear from? This is the only thread that is not serving its purpose so far.

.

I think one of the reason for this is those who have made it in uae, by made It, I mean those who have gotten jobs (comfortable jobs) have refused to share how or the peocesses/procedures they used in landing their jobs. And some have not represented us (Nigerians) well in their workplace, hence not promoting the manager of their workplace to consider taking more Nigerians.

Having said this, there's no smoke without fire, I'll still not advise anyone to sell lands, cars, properties or even give up ur pr3sent job in Nigeria just to go and try luck in uae; I'll consider those negative advise from some people here.

Let me get something straight here, what’s the purpose of this thread? Isn’t it for guidance and information? I posted a link about AccessBank offering visa assistance and it was deleted. I find it funny because whoever did must be encouraging agency activities here, anyway good luck

really funny, the last time i replied someone about the access bank travel stuff, i got a ban for 24hrs; really funny

Never give up..........

Even USA and Canada where folks are running too sef have their downsides.

Many immigrants are living a miserable life there while some are making it big......

NEVER GIVE UP

You can never compare US (America) with UAE (Arab), if not for anything the law in US is more friendly than that of the Arabs

when you coming to work in the UAE, its not JUST about the salary... you have to take advantage of the developmental strides and the beautiful culture and environment around you. life is to be enjoyed peacefully, sadly for now...Nigeria doesn't offer this.

please i want to beg Nigerians here in the UAE and those planning to come, no matter the job you find yourself or salary you earn please do your possible best to take care of your damn self. i am tired of seeing ''some'' Nigerians looking and living like pigs just because you earn a 800 or 1000AED salary.

when you are off work like fridays or the weekend, take yourself to a treat. spending 100AED of your salary just to pamper yourself wouldn't kill you. the beaches are free, the malls are free to enter with wifi, meet and greet, expose yourself. YOU ARE IN A DEVELOPED COUNTRY.

i was shocked to find out some persons have stayed over 3 years in the country and have never even had a glance of burj khalifa. cmon you live in a country that houses the tallest building in the world and you haven't even seen it? what kind of life are you living? you want to work, save and die?

all work and no play my people... Don't tell me about your family in Nigeria, don't be stingy to yourself...i see some Nigerians here and i shed tears. why won't the mere indians see you and maltreat you? you already presented yourself as a slave to them. some of you can't even buy a set of rollon and perfumes to atleast smell good.

dubai is expensive i know but take advantage of the environment, look and smell good please.

las las, we're our own problem, had it been Nigerians do corporate, 5-10 Nigerians can team-up and rent a studio; but that will not happen, bcoz Nigerians are so selfish to themselves. If only we can think of how this quick money making syndrome is fast consuming us, maybe we would consider making good name first and then money next.

Me, with all the advises I'm seeing, I might just have to consider my uae journey. May God direct me, bcoz Naija too sef don cast!!!

It depends on what you intend achieve as an aspiring programmer. If you want to learn Web development and design then learn the following in this order:
(1) Html
(2) CSS
(3) javascript
(4) php
(5) include a graphic software like corel draw, Photoshop e.t.c

If you want to build mobile apps or write computer programmes then go for python, though there are other programing languages but I chose python in this context because it's an open and general purpose programming language.

Thanks bro

Congratulations bro.

Now the least you can do for us is to represent us well, make your employer to have a rethink on Nigeria and Nigerians.

More grace to your hustle.

If you really have the knack for programming I suggest to visit YouTube to download some apt videos since you can't reach out to other programmers in your locality. Most full stack or versatile programmers advanced their knowledge through self -tutorship.

As a beginner, who for instance doesn't even know what programming is:
1. would you still recommend startig from google or get into a programming class?
2. Which landuage should i really start with (please I'll appreciate if u can use ursef as reference when you started)
3. Please can u recommend useful links ad well

Thanks in advance

My brother run for your life its a pure scam, Infact scam of the highest order my reasons.
1. Nothing like dutcooilgas.com their real website is dutco.com
2. The website background look same but all the numbers there are mobile phones whereas all companies in UAE is atttached to a land phone
3. This is the real number of the company +97142601111
4. If you compare both website one is exclusive with the details of what they do unlike the other
5. Use Google map to check both address its the same location but their office line is registered on Google map which is land line no single Mobile number is registered on the real website
6. I rest my case that is the height of professionalism they can go to scam you. #fearyahooboyz and pakiguys
7. The stamp on the letter was computerised never a true stamp
8. Dutcooilgas.com is fake website
9. Do more research and verifications b4 u conclude
10. Also everything u click on the mena website always direct you to contact which website does that all info needed will be communicated verbally u cant see anything on the web.

You're so on point bro

Unless its guaranteed that You will secure a job that worth 300k monthly in UAE, because Your 200k job in UAE is almost equivalent to 100k job in naija.

It's either you're not a Nigerian or it've been long you visited Nigeria. If you earn 200k in uae with benefits like accommodation and transport in some cases sef with feeding allowance how can you compare it with naija where you earn 100k and you'll be responsible for house rent, transportation, feeding, nepa bills alone is from 8k upward monthly and you're not even guaranteed the light, still from same 100k you're expected to fill gas. Oga I fear you but I no run... sad sad

I am not sure why people persist in giving wrong information based on anecdotal incidents.

Please refer to official GOVERNMENT communication. See the link below:

https://government.ae/en/information-and-services/health-and-fitness/health-conditions-for-uae-residence-visa

You don't have to worry if you are not within these six categories as listed on the site. However, I’ve seen a construction manager from India refused visa because he tested positive to Hepatitis B so to be safe remove UAE from ur option because what’s your gain spending so much only to be deported

Thanks so much for ur response, I totally understand ur point, but as things are right now in naija, it's better to try else where, and uae is the only country that one can think of considering their easy visa, please if u have other recommendations I'll glad

Are you coming for employment or for treatment?
If for employment, there are categories of jobs that being hepatitis B positive will affect and might get you deported. These include nannies, housemaids, and nursery workers; hairdressing salon workers; beauty centre workers; health club workers; anyone working in processing or food-control authorities; and those in cafes and restaurants. These are professions that have more human-to-human contact, so if your profession is not in any of this field then you are free.

It also depends on whether the virus is acute or chronic and whether you are just a carrier or you can infect another person with it, so what I will advice is for you to know your status. Do a full hepatitis B test which include

1.Liver function test ( to know if it had affected your liver
2. Ultrasound for liver
3. HVB DNA Quantitative
4. Complete blood count

This will let u know your viral loads and whether you need further treatments or not.

PS; I'm a carrier and have been in the UAE for 4yrs with no issue

Please, check ur mail

Don’t waste your money bro, once you have hepatitis B it’ll show in ur residence medical and your visa will be rejected, fully treated or not it will be rejected ..future visit visa would even be rejected that’s a fact so if you have history of hepatitis B just come as a tourist and return home undetected

Thanks for your response NIGHTLIFE100, please can you confirm if Nigerians can go for visa change, bcoz the person is considering doing business and do visa change after 3 months.

Please is it possible for one to treat hepatitis B over there in uae, because the person have been treating it here, but all the treatment here is still returning positive test. Now the person wants to travel to uae with 3 months visa to treat it there and after which secure a job. Please I need advise on this. Thanks

You're the one who need to read and understand what someone post before commenting. That was what tosinobikoya49, and u're asking him to do it by himself, when he definitely needs the services of an agent.

Was at Federal Civil Service yesterday to submit CV, guys what I saw yesterday was so disheartening, the crowd there was something else. I engage one of the security guys collecting the CVs in talk and he told me that's how people have been turning up ever since the advert for recruitment was placed.

Now, if there's rush in Nigeria for every opening, even when we know most of the slots will not be given out on merit but rather on who-knows-who basis, maybe it's better to try it out in other country where one will at least be considered or rejected based on ur qualification.
