Why not comment constructively for once so that when next you make some good points or permutation people would at least pay attention and might even believe you. I generally do not comment much but would like to make the following comment to put things in correct perspective as we all learning from this forum.

From all indications, one can see that PDP has momentum in the core North while LP has momentum in the South and the Christian part of the Middle Belt. The ongoing "Broom burning contest" and the million match happening all over the states clearly attest to these facts.

I can tell you clearly that the BAT campaign has been performing abysmally and seems to lack direction which seems surprising for an experience political juggernaut like BAT. He seems to have alienated most of the thinktank around him as mentioned by Babachir and surrounded himself with novices and pollical jobbers. His wobbling depicts a man that never believe he would win the primaries and as someone not nibble enough to adjust to changing realities.

While the Obi campaign has adopted to a decentralised mass-led and bottom-up voters mobilization approach due to apparent paucity of fund and lack of structures to grow, Tinubu team has failed completely to do a thorough SWAT analysis before plunging into the campaign. For starters, Tinubu has no convincing reason whatever to chose a moslem Moslem ticket if he has taken time to study the current political mood of the country. The Moslem Moslem Ticket is not getting him additional vote but rather would bleed him seriously from his traditional Southern Nigeria turf from Christian voters. Obi is a big beneficially and that is the reason he has been visiting almost all the known churches to maximise this home advantage. Obi knows he would not be able to compete with a Fulani Atiku and Kwankwaso for Hausa Fulani Vote. Obi already has advantage of Christian and Youth votes and his church visits seems to make sure his gets the largest portion in this important demography.

When the NE governors recommended the M-M VP to BAT, they probably made that recommendation believing that he would choose one of then (Fulani) but Tinubu went and chose a Kanuri minority which worsen his case. The big vote from Borno and Yobe (Kanuri territory) may not materialise as the INEC Chairman, a Fulani would ensure that the electronic voting works in this area to ensure that the massive NE rigging does not materialise again. So where would the votes come from?

Furthermore, Tinubu campaign fell to recognised the fact that APC is the ruling party that are being blamed for messing up the country. Tinubu should have distanced himself a bit from Buhari government but he keeps on saying that he would build upon Buhari legacy and continue many of his failed policies. The BAT campaign appointed a combative Keyamo ( Buhari serving Minister of State) as their campaign spokesman. Keyamo instead of focusing on telling us what BAT would do differently to move the country, would always use every of his media appearance to burnish the discredited Buhari administration achievements and would consistently tell Nigeria electorates that Tinubu would continue Buhari’s policies and only better some few if elected.

Additionally, BAT campaign has been on permanent defence and mudslinging which are not helping his candidacy. I am believing that his campaign still believes in the old political patronage and vote buying to see him through but he may be in for a shocker if the feelers I am getting from majority of the youths I have encountered are anything to go by. the new Electronic voting may be an abatross to the old way of winning elections.

The Obidient movement powered mostly by youths has completely taken over the APC traditional social and traditional media space. The Obidient seems very excited and determined as most believe they are working to enthrone a better and accountable leadership while BAT campaign seems not to be well motivated and tend to be clinging to him based on party, tribal affiliation and traditional patronage.

APC counterattacks on the Obidients has been very lame with full of mudslinging as exemplify by t seemly amateur comment we get from his supporters. They mostly come up to attack the Obi campaign instead of facing Atiku squarely. You can only read nairaland and watch Arise and Channel TV programs to notice this.

Even the Atiku campaign is wary to take on the Obidient movement frontally to avoid total evisceration. As mentioned, BAT campaign is fixated on the Obidient movement instead of concentrating on fighting Atiku in the core north after fielding Moslem Moslem ticket thereby inadvertently pushing the majority of Christian potential voters to Obi. Tinubu has not even helped his campaign.

Tinubu does not engage directly with the people through TV/radio appearance or townhalls while Obi has been everywhere marshalling out his plans and connecting directly by aligning and identifying with the struggling masses and talking about people pocket book concerns.

BAtians should be praying that he gets up to 25% in any of the SE/SS states. From what we are seeing on the ground, APC would struggle getting the requisite 25% from any of these states which is contrary to what would happen in SW where Obi and Atiku could easily pick 25% from amny SW states. Atiku has the structures while Obi has the majority of the Christian population routing for him in Yorubaland.

Obidatt movement is growing organically with folks using their resources to built tiny cells even in remote Villages supported by the enlightened diaspora population. I have not heard about anyone using their resources to sensitize people for BAT. They are all waiting for Tinubu campaign to release money for mobilization.

Every second matters in a life of a campaign. The Obidients are becoming more emboldened and are building structures and networks at an astonishing pace. There is a general believe in the Obidient Camp that they can win this election. Even some folks in Tinubu camp are no longer taken LP as a fringe party but as major contenders. As I said before, the Atikulates are also seeing mass mobilization for PDP in the core North and are pushing to take up the mass votes from this traditional APC areas. If the trend continues, one can conclude that this election would essentially be between Obi and Atiku.

February is still a long period and time will tell if Tinubu is reserving some tricks to turn the current tide otherwise the future is not looking bright for the Jagaban and the storied Nigerian political wizard.
