Be careful the kinds of file you upload via filemanager from your cpanel. Read the TOS very well as many webhosting company have strict rule on the use of their file manager for upload.

Eventhough their terms may read UNLIMITED STORAGE, they frawn at people taking advantage of that to store all kinds of stuff in their server. Some will require you to contract their dedicated storage unit.

I know a lot of people that saved all sorts of files on their server through this method, because they have unlimited storage space and got their accounts suspended without notice.

But that is an easy way of uploading your site

That is a bug on the new upgrade of SMf just unistall the package manager and install it back and the problem will be solved. Maybe you upgraded soon after the 1.1.11 was released. they ahve corrected the bug in that initial release.

But if the if the above suggestion didn't work, come back here so that i will give an alternative but am sure that will fix the problem

Blog designing and hosting is not techie. All you need to do is figure which version you want to use. Either paid or free version. (BUT I STRONGLY ADVOCATE FOR A PAID VERSION). Wrodpress is better and with lots of plugins to make your life a lot easier.

Use an SMF ad management mod. All you need to do after downloading the mod is install it on your forum, then go to permission to check the enable ad tab.

After you must have done this, generate your google adsense code and paste it in the ad mgt mod, sellect where and where you want the ads to show. and DONT forget to limit it to three places so as not to violate the TOS (terms of service). i hop this helps

Wordpress is a reliable paid version blog that lets you have full control of your blog. Is not as if you are paying for the wordpress, but your hosting right is what you are paying for. Several hosting companies include access to free wordpress software in their hosting plan. Bluehost is good at that. you can decide to patronise them.

I had a bitter experience of using a free blog that i will not advice anyone,not even my enemy to use a free blog for any serious online business. You can use them for testing your capability online

How did you manage to discover that they have an account with GT? if your source is authentic, then verify from the bank or better still go to CAC (corporate Affairs commission) for further investigation
