Career / Re: Injustice In My Workplace; Should I Return The Money? by olatayo1984(m): 12:35pm On Mar 03, 2018
I really understand your plight because God just delievered me from the same situation. I worked with an international NGO which has little or no presence in Nigeria. They were given a condition that they must partner with a NIgerian organization before they could be awarded the project, which they did. The Nigerian company underpay us seriously bcs when you compare the salary of the staff of other staff from this American company, it was twice our own and we are doing the same thing. All benefits were not paid and the deduction from the agreed underpaid salary was crazy. The American company tried to make this company to compile and pay us well but they are so greedy and after a year of complain, the agreement expired and instead of them to tell us to go home, this american NGO absolved us and cancelled their contract with the Nigerian organization. i will advice you talk to someone you know in the firm B to advice you. you cant keep quite forever. i believe God to favour you.

Jobs/Vacancies / A Rejoiner To 'letter To My Past' by olatayo1984(m): 11:19am On Feb 27, 2017
Good morning people,
Am Lanre from Lagos, Nigeria. This piece is a rejoiner to an article I read sometimes early this year titled 'A letter to my past'. I will not repeat what was in the article but share my own story to encourage someone and at the same time support the content of the article.

I graduated in 2010 and went to service 2011. During my undergraduate days, I have guys that developed themselves, acquiring skills and now it speaks for them. They are doing well now. I strictly adhered to the saying have a good grade and you are settle for life. I have a 2.1 due to my unseriousness in part 2 and 3.
Also in my service months, some of my friends are equipping themselves with different skills to be competitive in the job market. I just believed on my good grade. My first job came after 9months that I finished service. It was a secondary school where I taught 3 subjects (mathematics, further mathematics and physics) from s.s.1 to 3 with 20000 naira salary. You know how that will be.
After 2 months I secured another teaching job where I was paid 35000 naira. I was not satisfied because I can't made head way with those amount in lagos. I applied for master program and I got admission in 2014.
But i still missed the point. I forget that in those schools I worked there are plenty of masters graduate depressed.
But my eyes were opened and I discovered that skill is what will get me my dream job. I started developing my capacity and learning new skills. I will look at skills required for my dear job and download videos from YouTube and learn those skills. I looked for free certificate courses online and I applied for them.
When the jobs are not forth coming I open an office where I train people on the skills I studied from YouTube and I do little consulting and I started earning money.
I connect to people who are in my career line on LinkedIn. I send hundred of requests to people to be connected and may share job opportunities and if am not quality, I look for what disqualify me and I worked on it.
All these efforts pays off in January, 2017 when a woman contacted me from Washington about a project them wanted to start in Nigeria and to the glory of God it has turned to story now. The skills I acquired informally speaks for me and the salary is wow because it is a direct USG project.
The summary of this piece is don't sit down on your degree, acquire skills that fit for your dream job and career. Create opportunity if you don't see any. God rewards, waiting for that job without improving yourself is insane, it will not come.
God bless you

Career / Re: Staying on my job or Further Training? by olatayo1984(m): 1:58pm On Feb 19, 2017
If I will advice, I will share my own story with you and make some points. After youth service I was jobless for months before getting a job where I earned 20000 teaching 3 subjects (mathematics, physics and further mathematics ) for ss1 to 3. I met discouraged and frustrated staffs buy I decided I will not end like them and I applied for MSC and before I was given the admission, I got a job where they paid me 35k with same discouraged and frustrated set of workers. After I got the admission I resigned without any means of paying, either my parents couldn't help in the program bcs they are retired but I still took the leap. I finished the program in 2015, doing menial jobs and still adding to my skills and with prayer, God showed up in jan , 2017 and the skills I acquired over the years qualified me for a job I just secure which was a restoration job.
In conclusion, gather the money for the training and go and believe God you will get a job when you finish. Don't allow comfort to limit you.

Career / High Demand For Analytical Skills, Create More Opportunities For Yourself by olatayo1984(m): 8:27am On Jan 20, 2017
There is increasing demand from multilateral agencies, funding bodies as well as boards of private companies for a strong demonstration that projects are being monitored and evaluated effectively.
Effective project monitoring allows a project team to make appropriate decisions on a day-to-day basis and ensures that projects are carried out as planned and modified when necessary.

Successful programs and projects begin from a pre-planned series of activities and events. However, things rarely work out exactly as planned. Managers must therefore periodically monitor selected indicators and measure performance during implementation so they can make timely adjustments where necessary, as well as subsequently determine the extent to which the program or project achieved its objectives.
(In depth Research)

Religion / Testimony That Encouraged My Faith by olatayo1984(m): 9:40am On Jan 01, 2017
What can someone say to ever faithful God, He says a thing and He do it irrespective of the situation of that season. My faith was encouraged early this morning that God is unchangeable and ever reliable. Only those that have not tasted His power doubt Him. When He commanded tithing, He is faithful to save us from any lost in any form or holocaust.
I was humbled with the testimony of a man from Delta state, he went to wash his car. Where he was washing his car, 2 filling stations were stationed. As he was washing his car, a trunk loaded with PMS fell to the side of the car wash and he has to run for his life. The 2 filling stations got burnt and 24 other cars. But covenant keeping God showed up in the man case, the tent over his car got burnt but the fire did not get to his car. And immediately men asked and followed him to serve his God. Stop running your mouth on what you don't know, start looking for way to be a partaker of the covering of God. All instructions in the word of God is for our profiting. Paying your tithe or serving God is not for benefit of the church or pastor but for your benefit. God is not in need, you are in need.
Only being obedience to God's instructions can make a difference in your life in 2017, no investment program can do that because they have failed in the time pass and they will still fail this year.

Religion / Re: Is Masturbation A Sin?. by olatayo1984(m): 12:39pm On Dec 24, 2016
I will address this on 2 grounds; on personal experience and based on what God says.
I mastibatedon't for years, am talking about many years, more than 10years, not sure of actual years. Before I got born-again, I always feel ashamed of it, I always try to stop. I discovered it weaken my confidence and try to keep it secret. I discovered that it affect my interpersonal relationship with both sex. I ve girlfriends but I am always boring in the relationships. To say the least, it affect my whole life negatively.
To the second part, some people always say mastibation is not a sin, I will agree with them provided they have never engaged in it before but if you ve, that mean you are deceiving yourself. Before you mastibate, you either been looking at a naked pic or visualizing it in your heart, either ways you are committing a sin and when you destroy your body which God call His temple, you are coming a greater sin. Let look at it from this angle, bible told us that the life we are living is not ours, it is the life of Christ because He already paid for it,, so do you think Christ will want you to use His life to mastibate, will you accept Christ if you discovered He mastibated when he was on earth. Think about it, God bless you.

Family / Dignity Of Manhood by olatayo1984(m): 10:38am On Dec 21, 2016
I discovered that families are breaking up due to high level of irresponsible men parading the corridor of marriage. The devil is attacking the family using the wing of men. Majority of men particularly of my generation are not standing where God designed them to be.
According to 1cor 11:3-12 and 1tim 2:8-9 which was clearly explain by Bro Gbile Akanni, men are unable to exert their God given right in their family because they have a covering. They covered their head with disobedience, lies, lust, fornication, adultery etc, and they have brought dishonour to their head which is Christ. This covering did not allow them to exert authority in their family and the result is divorce and the likes.
God is asking you as a man who told you that you are naked? Have you eaten from the tree which I commanded you that you should not eat? Gen 3:11. Many can not perform well as the head of the family because they are irresponsible and have eaten from the fruit of sin God commanded us not to eat.
Please check yourself, a man have to be mature and stand in position of authority without covering his hand (and not talking about covering his head with a cap but with shameful things that bring dishonour to Christ, his head).

Kindly get the book 'The dignity of Manhood' by Gbile Akanni and you will be blessed

Wazoblog:
Now this will be very expository. From all indications from the people that have interviewed and are unable to login to the npvn website of npower, I discovered that many of them didn't write the test in the first place but when they checked the selection portal url they saw their names.

Now this same people up till now haven't got an acknowledged SMS.

This perhaps may be the reason why many of these people haven't been able to login.

So if you know you didn't write your test but you saw ur name in the npower screening portal don't jubilate yet cos only authentic applicants who wrote the test , saw their names shortlisted on the portal and finally received SMS are the only people that should congratulate themselves.

Peradventure you fulfilled the above requirements but still cannot login yet, then don't worry everything shall be fixed in no time.

Regards

This is not true.
When I registered, I did not received the confirmation mail, no test and my name wad shortlisted and I have signed in.
This is message after I signed in.
