Business / Re: LASG Threatens To Seal Supermarkets Over Non-disclosure Of Price Tags On Product by OlujobaSamuel: 10:57am On Apr 07 |
Bahdguyishere:Even govt will tax you on new price, not the old price you bought, because if the current cost price is ₦15 while you are claiming ₦5, that you sold for ₦10, tax officers wont accept that you under sell the item below current market cost price, as it would reduce your tax obligations Also, what the govt is fighting isn't illegal, just morals that won't stand in law |
Business / Re: LASG Threatens To Seal Supermarkets Over Non-disclosure Of Price Tags On Product by OlujobaSamuel: 6:15am On Apr 07 |
Hmmmm, I don't think there is any illegality therein, stores are not bound to sell at displayed price, that's why, under contract, the displayed price is termed "invitation to treat", what some stores do is to have price checker at various points so you don't have to get to pay point to know the actual price. It's just like seeing a price online, only to call to place an order, then you get a different quote. |

Travel / Re: Market Street Road Project In Igbogbo Constructed By LCDA In Lagos State by OlujobaSamuel: 5:04pm On Mar 28 |
NOC1:It's Lagos state govt that is responsible for those network cables you are seeing on the roads, not the network providers. It's the state 1cable project for network services. Instead of MTN, Airtel, Glo, etc laying separately digging everywhere, the state do the laying and rent it out. Kindly check some of the slabs on placed at some of the cable intersection, you will see something like Lagos state govt property on it. I don't know about other states if they have adopted such system, speaking for only Lagos |
Politics / Re: After Raking In Millions From Applicants, Osun Fails To Hold Teachers' Exams by OlujobaSamuel: 3:29pm On Mar 28 |
maasoap:No, I'm not implying that, God forbid I hold such view for any human not to talk of Nigerian politicians. What I meant is that he did what he felt is right without considering if it would cost him the 2nd term or not. Imagine if majority of them do not fight for 2nd term, just focus on doing their thing, there will be ups and downs, but things will be better. Some governors just abandoned governance and focus solely on political matters putting the state on auto pilot where every one uses his name as wished to carry out crazy acts |

yemmight:I think it's actually one of the best if not the best pattern, it means every son of Ibadan land can sit on the throne, nothing like ruling house, just follow the ascension process from your immediate family and pray never to die before it gets to your turn. That's why the king is always an old man 1 Like |
