Education / Update On The Murdered Okada Man At Tanke Oke Odo Area In Ilorin by oluwadanie1(m): 12:26pm On Feb 26, 2016
Following the Tension that ensued after sunday evening’s murder of a Commercial Motorcyclist (Okada man) in Oke odo, a popular Unilorin students dominated community. ….If you missed the story, You can Read it from HER

A student of the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN), Kwara State, has been apprehended by the police for allegedly beheading a commercial motorcyclist.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Kwara State Police Command, DSP Okasanmi Ajayi, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), on Tuesday, in Ilorin, that police operatives had identified the motorcyclist as one Mohammed Lawal of Oke-Odo, Tanke in Ilorin.
Ajayi said the corpse was seen near a river at Oko-Oba with throat slit.
“Policemen, who arrived at the scene met a mob beating the suspect, a UNILORIN student,” he said.
The spokesman said the corpse had been evacuated and taken to a morgue, adding that investigation into the incident is still ongoing.

Meanwhile, a resident of Tanke told NAN that skirmishes had erupted between some commercial motorcyclists and policemen with the motorcyclists throwing stones on policemen.
The resident, who identified herself as Iya Shakira, told NAN that people had to close their shops and run for cover as the policemen dispersed the mob with teargas.
An official of the UNILORIN, who pleaded anonymity, confirmed that the suspect was a law student of the institution.
The official told NAN that the student claimed that he went to the bush where the body was found to study.
According to him, the suspect is currently receiving treatment at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital for injuries sustained during a mob attack.

“He was saved by the police from the mob beating him up and brought in unconscious but currently, healthy enough for discharge in couple of days” Another source close to the students Union disclosed earlier today.

Celebrities / Olajumoke Vs Daniel 5.0CGPA: Is Beauty More Rewarding Than The Brain In Nigeria? by oluwadanie1(m): 12:09pm On Feb 26, 2016
Is Beauty More Rewarding Than The Brain In Nigeria? By Ishola Kayode

In this era where there is an “unjust” pontification on Beauty over the brain, one needs to wonder a little the trends that preceded and made things turn that way.

Its a common thing to see people who made success in the fashion, entertainment, modelling and many other relevant industries that will be placed in the “beauty” category being giving more than enough kudos and attention.

The story of Bread seller turned model Olajumoke and most recently the first Unilag graduate to have hit the much coveted “perfect distinction” of 5.0. Their cases can be said to be a perfect and the most relevant example of the beauty and the brain.

When Olajumoke was discovered, her life took a total turn around. She got the most media attention. She got a new and fresh apartment, was reunited with her hobby, got an interview on CNN, became a motivational speaker, has featured in numerous photo shoots just to remain in the news…and a myriad of other motivations and rewards. Her benefactor,T.Y bello also featured in the show as many “Nigerians” kept showering praises on her…her act also prompted some celebrities to follow suit in turning around lives..

Yesterday, the University of Lagos unveiled their record setting graduate… Who hit the target by attaining a 5.0 CGPA. This guy failed to get less than an A in all his numerous courses throughout his undergraduate years. That’s a hell of achievement and as usual the media is reporting it but not like that of the Breadseller turned Model’s story..Why? That’s because Nigerians will become adamant and hypocritic judge instantly cause his success was not inspired by a notable celebrity. No T.Y Bello, Olamide, Don Jazzy, Lindaikeji in his story..Hmm, No interviews on CNN, so far it’s been just a mention on NTA. No photoshoots (Lolz..that may not be necessary though), No academic oriented firm or NGO is reporting or commending him “visibly” plus the fact that some folks are commonising this laudable feat and making dumb cracks with it..

Anyway, this is not the first time this beauty and the brain ratings is taking the space and as usual, we all know which will win..

Just that I feel if we want to develop as a nation, I mean if we wanna leave the stage of the developing nations to the developed ones..We need to reward and promote people with the brain. Not forgetting that if we fail to honour them, we are deterring hardworking and excellence in the Academic niche and its takes little time for the consequences to manifest in our Nation.

don't ignore her, doing that only makes things difficult for u. Don't say yes or no to her requests, and don't even bring up d close friend ish. Talking about it or saying yes gives u an instant passport to the dreaded friendzone territory. All u need to do is make her miss u, make her do d work, only check in on her once in a while, act normal, not like sth happened, and don't try to give her advice on what's pestering her. U r not her therapist. Listening to all her tales and giving her advice will get u friendzoned. Make her miss u, sound excited n fun when u talk to her, and don't lower ur sef to the level of the "close friend" she wants. Continue ur romance as usual, but sparingly, make her miss sth.

good morning sire. You're really doing a very good job. Thanks.

Okay, i met this girl here in school and even though i made the mistake of asking if she had a boyfriend, we av forgoten about that.

Recently, i was avin a convo with her in which i told her i loved her and in that same convo, she told me she has neva been free with anyone as she is with me.
In another convo, i asked if she felt same way abt me but she neva gave a 'yes' or 'no'. She only kept saying 'am sorrry' that she's not thinkin in that direction.

Pls wat step do i take next?
