Business / Re: Mobil Filling Station, ₦10,000 & POS Wahala: How Can I Resolve This Issue? by Oluwapresley(m): 4:42am On Jun 25, 2021 |
Winneygirl: God bless you!! Person wey sabi. There are so many times a declined transaction goes through. It is only logical that we go by receipts and not what's underlined. Let's assume the attendant knew the money came in and had treated the transaction as successful with a receipt that showed declined, how do you reconcile given that receipts are evidence of payments? And the funny thing about POS transactions is, they are usually lumped up. When you run a statement for POS transactions, for most banks they come up with aggregated balances; hardly will you see ones showing individual transactions so I make bold to say there was no way the manager could have traced that transaction. Like you said, this is a matter with the bank. 2 Likes |

tunbosun002: Your bank is funny. Confirm the PAN on the receipt with your card to see that it's the same as the one on your card. If it is, then your bank is really funny. The way it works, if a transaction is declined, irrespective of whether the merchant was credited, the bank should raise a charge back. POS transaction doesn't work with credit or debit but with codes and consequently receipts. So there are times a transaction declines but value is transferred. Such transactions are treated as failed and a charge back is raised by the bank. Soooo, you need to fill a dispute or whatever your bank calls it for a charge back. I would like to know how this ends. |

mikecino: My advice is get in touch with WAEC before acting so you don't go around in circles. |
Romance / Re: Matured Advice Needed by Oluwapresley(m): 2:24am On May 30, 2021 |
mikecino: Hi. Never had this issue but if I was to suggest a solution, it will be that you get across to WAEC and make an enquiry on name change. I know people effect changes on documents so WAEC certificate shouldn't be an issue; it might just require you going all the way to their office, swearing an affidavit, paying some charges and supplying supporting documents to back your claim. I hope you won't be asked to get a newspaper publication done. All in all, try and reach out to WAEC. Their helplines are scattered on the internet. Cheers Modified: Just a quick search online brought out the attached.

Politics / Re: Frozen Account: Eleme Petrolchemicals Accuses EFCC, FBN Of Disobedience To Court by Oluwapresley(m): 5:28pm On May 13, 2021 |
But come to think of it, commercial banks are becoming a pain in the neck of Nigerians! When you marketing these accounts you pose a different demeanor. Then you come back later to mess up the customer. If a bank isn't ready then they shouldn't leave one in a mess they weren't. If the court has said unfreeze, what else do they want? Sigh! Access Bank is one bank I know to be a pain! |

No be this bank? Tah! They are the worst! Lalasticlala Mynd44 move to front page. These banks need to learn a few lessons. You should not leave a customer exposed. One you have sworn to protect his or her funds. It's sad. Op sorry for the loss. |

Melaninprincess: It is actually. Bids are legit. Only that there can only be a winner for a particular bid. It's like taking money from millions of people when you know there can only be one winner. The catch is, it's just N100 it's just 1k |

Career / Re: Why Do Morticians Knock At Door Before Entering The Mortuary? Scary Experiences by Oluwapresley(m): 7:53pm On Feb 24, 2021 |
thebosstrevor1: Smh! You had to insult me to say rubbish. Well, Mr. Logical. Whenever you speak for or against something with confidence and certainty, giving other people's accounts is not doing justice. It would have been better for the person to say this is what so so and so said. Not outrightly confirming a phenomenon as true when the only prove you have is "they said, he said, she said." Notice I haven't confirmed or denied the existence of this phenomenon? That's how not to spread nonsense as fact. So many things today ppl believe out of they said they said. Till today no one has seen them real life. 2 Likes |

Hello House, Just stumbled on this thread and it has been an awesome read so far. Please, I will like to find out the current price for melange sized catfish in Lagos given the recent surge in the price of fish feed. - I don't know if I got the spelling right malange but it's usually pronounced as something like "milurge". Many thanks. |
Properties / Re: Is Remote Ibeju Lekki Really Better Than These Locations? by Oluwapresley(m): 4:16pm On Jan 17, 2021 |
ThaThinka: Hahaha. You just want someone to validate your thoughts. I am in this exact dilemma. I feel like Ibeju Lekki is on a different planet. That place is freaking far. Plus cost of constructing probably due to extra sand filling cox of the nature of lands there and erm, the flood that might come during raining season. My heart and head say areas like Ikd and Mowe might just be better but when you speak with realtors, they all say Ibeju Lekki. I don tire ah swear. I was very close to getting one at Agbowa in Ikorodu but because of this indecisions. phooey! 1 Like |
