After over 22 hours long flight of relief and knowing I’m going back home, we finally touched down MMIA at Ikeja. The landing, gallops, impatience, people and so many unexplainable occurrences quickly tapped me to the reality of being back to Nigeria.
Wow! Not much had changed as I looked around the atmosphere.
The walkway to baggage claims, escalator not working and few things I wouldn’t mention here to save the little dignity left in my home country. Immigration officers at the port of entry still wants me to roger, but I was too tired to even relate with anyone. I moved!!

Finally came outside the airport to look for my people. I quickly bought an MTN line and recharge card, slot it into my phone and called my people to let them know I’m outside. They were at the airport car park so they came to get me... Again, We moved!
After few months in Nigeria with no progress on sight, bunch of job applications actually exposed me to the reality that I would need to get a certificate of service (NYSC) and with no time to waste, I got myself together, braced up and went to Abuja to register for NYSC!
After all process, I left back for Lagos to wait for my posting and to cut the long story short, I got posted to somewhere in the north central. It came off as unbelievable, confusing, stressing, unimaginable, but guess the worst part? It’s reality!!! I’m going for NYSC in a state in the north central. I’m not even going to do what others were doing to get posted to their state of choice because I don’t have any extra resources to play with at that point in time. I’m going to NYSC for real!

I was almost setting into depression, but I dusted off the feelings and look forward to the NYSC adventure! Off to camp.... It’s a journey to a whole new adventure. Whatever happened in the camp, stays at the camp! I initially thought it would be fun, but guess what? Your guess is as good as mine. The most horrible and longest 3 weeks of my life. I somehow, miraculously survived it and to make the matter worst, I got posted to a rural town in the middle of no where. A new reality has dawned on me.
How did I get here? Why the hell did I come back to Nigeria? What was I thinking?
On the other side, I was encouraging myself and going with the adventure, no doubt I met some great friends and really cool people during service. The universe compensated me with a very good “winks” as well. Remember, whatever happened in NYSC, stays at NYSC. Okay I felt better and settled.... I became so calm and started revisiting my coding skills fresh off college, I took advantage of the isolation in the small town to horn my programming skills.
The end of NYSC became the beginning of a new reality of hell..... would I survive this one? Meeehhn Nigeria is bleeped, but still we move!
Completed my NYSC after a year in the middle of no where and made it back to Lagos.
Fresh off NYSC and new to the over saturated, clustered job market.... Its deeper than a market! It’s a different world, it’s the average Nigerian graduates reality!
At this point, It was no longer getting funny.......

Pls if you don't mind i need your assistance with the Azure web service.

Actually I’m not in Nigeria the moment so I can’t promise a call plus I no longer have access to the email I used in setting up this account and I’m afraid I couldn’t PM on here, but I have a private Facebook community group where I answer people’s questions regarding assignments or if they are stuck at work or for general consultation. I am more active on there. You might want to join the group too smiley

2009 was the year I arrived Malaysia for my bachelors degree.

To my surprise, there were so many Nigerians in Malaysia than I had expected. In fact, most of them were living really large while some of us were living the regular struggling student life. It took a while before it dawned on me how Nigerians in Malaysia make enough money to live large, but then I am always on a constant reminder as to why I was there and I pushed hard to stick to my mission, but It was a very rough and super tough 4 years of my life and I couldn’t wait to complete my studies and return to Nigeria.

It was June 2013. Convocation day, as my name was called on that stage to receive my credentials conferred on me having completed my degree. My stomach was groaning due to hunger, I was flat broke and I looked so disorganized, but I had to push through even tho I had a sense of relief from the college struggle.

It was time to go back to Nigeria since I couldn’t imagine myself staying extra time out there.
I explored the cities for another month and booked my return flight to Nigeria with the hope of going back home to start a better life after earning the degree. angry

It was just all imaginations and fantasies hoping Nigeria would have been better than how I left it. I totally forgot the reality of my home Country, but I learnt that the hard way.

I took the flight and headed back to Nigeria.....
