Mrshape:

When you are not told with replacement it is without replacement

(2/4 •1/3)+(2/4•1/3)
2(1/6)
=1/3

Wrong. You calculated for the same colours not different colours. The correct solution should be 1-1/3=2/3

Michael Jordan's greatness was achieved through relentlessness, insane competitiveness, and unique talent.
There is no doubt that he is the GOAT. No doubt. He is indeed defectively competitive. Basketball saved his life. The last dance showed me his intensity level, and with all honesty I was nervous. I wouldn't want to be his team mate if I can't match that level of intensity. I will prefer to be LeBron James team mate, at least his life doesn't depend on winning. Damn!!!.

Do not thank him. He clearly doesn't know what he is saying.

Seun:
I am a strong proponent of the use of face-masks and I think that, if not for the aggressive marketing campaign by the WHO to brainwash people against protecting themselves, the Coronavirus would not have killed so many people. The WHO is to blame for this tragedy.

However, what the governor said was wrong. Even after putting a mask on every face, we still need to continue reducing our exposure to to the Coronavirus by avoiding risky situations that we can afford to avoid. Masks do not provide perfect protection. Nothing provides that.
Hi Seun, I respectfully disagree with your allegation that the WHO is to blame for the tragedy in your first paragraph. A face-mask is a protective equipment primarily used by health workers while treating sick people. A secondary use of face mask is to protect sick people during flu seasons from spreading the virus in public when they sneeze or cough. In the real world, these protective equipment such as face-mask are not enough to go round everyone in the population. Therefore, health workers, who are on the front line and as such put their life on the line, are given priority in terms of those who should use face masks. Granted using face-mask ( that is if used correctly) do reduce the probability of disease transmission, but this probability-reduction is vanishingly small when social-distancing is really practiced. Therefore the reason WHO is not strongly encouraging people to put on face masks is not only because they want it to be available to health workers who really deal with patients at a close range but also the effectiveness of public face-mask-use in mitigating the spread of the disease tends to zero when social-distancing is correctly practiced. In fact I would argue that it becomes counterproductive (i.e. it aids the spread of the disease) because the public have not been sensitized on how to use face-mask correctly; they touch the front of the mask every time, which might already be contaminated and they have this false sense of miraculous safety as long as they are putting it on and as such ignore effective social-distancing measure (the governor a point in case) .

Finally, for you to leap to the conclusion that WHO is to blame for the tragedy is quite frankly very irresponsible. Given the whole conspiracy theories permeating the fabric of social-media space this period and that you have many followers who look up to you, it is extremely critical during this period for you to be rigorous on yourself before posting anything relating to this pandemic.

Eruditor:
This depends on what they call thesis. Some people use the term interchangeably to refer to projects, papers, essays and so on - it is a present day misnomer. But if thesis is being used as thesis in the very essence of the word, then I disagree with your explanation. I mean disagree totally.

What I have observed academically in some UK and to some degree Australian schools is that they have some “coursework” PhDs which is basically like an undergrad degree. But for research-laden Academic milieus like US, you cannot just submit a report that is reviewed independent of their assessment of your “thesis”. Because someone somewhere else could have been contracted to do everything for you which is the unforgivable crime in academia.
You are absolutely free to disagree. Let me try once more to convince you. A PhD is the highest academic degree one can attain; hence, it is
difficult to scam the system, especially in a first-rate university; so many processes are involved before you contribute to knowledge, you cannot just magically write a thesis- meaning you will have to go through mile stones (annual progress reports plus interviews). Most importantly you will have a supervisor (who you meet perhaps every week or less so), you may have collaborators you work with (if your work is multidisciplinary), you may have published in peer review journals, etc. After these, there will be no way anyone in the world will be able to write a thesis for you. From experience, your supervisors usually know when what you have done is enough to get you a PhD, he then tells you to write-up your results. So you see my friend if you had the mindset to scam the system, the self-organized structure of the program would have fished you out or you would have fished yourself out.

Like I said most top universities in Australia adopt this model (no thesis defense is require).....If you are still in doubt, do a quick search on google and you just may satisfy your curiosity.

Cheers!

Nigeria project need project defense because they don’t have turnitin?

You are a dang on liar.

All my mentors that did PHD in the states flew in to defend it. They never used turnitin and say it’s done.

I don’t think you understand why. When it comes to defending a thesis, these guys have to decide if they will award you that title.

These guys are some of the best in the world in that field. There isn’t a research paper written in that field that they really don’t know about, might not be all of it but most of it yes.

They know about it. They studied that field. Remember, it’s not only one person deciding if they are awarding you the PHD, it’s the damn department.

So if you think you will put it on turnitin, and they will do kpa kpa kpa for you, give you degree, then you are an idiot.

Apparently, The part were you should have added sense to your life, you added height.
I should predicate what I'm about to write with, I am not picking sides. I just want to clear something untrue, which is "a thesis must be defended"- this is not true, I repeat it is not true. In some Universities, once a PhD thesis has been submitted, the external examiners (mostly 3 of them) go through it and write their report on the said thesis(i.e. if there is any contribution to knowledge), after this phase, if at least 2 of the 3 examiners reports are favorable then the student is giving a PhD otherwise the student will be giving an M.Phil or may be asked to withdraw---this is the particular model used in universities in Australia.

If you are a coach and you have the option of picking a franchise player from Lebron James, prime Michael Jordan, prime Kobe Bryant and prime Magic Johnson, who would you pick? a friend asked me but it was too difficult to choose a play from bunch of talented players.

All of you that are in Nigeria and don't have early morning shifts are enjoying cry

To think Cavs got the 2nd easiest team in the East and are struggling against farmers and former B2K members issa big problem. I'm 70% sure they'll close (65.5% actually) but they have to figure things out in the next round. Raptors bench is no joke...

Glad to see we've finally found Lowry. He's been missing since 2017 regular season...

A soothsayer need not proclaim a healthy Rubio is vital in the 2nd round. 1 or 2 games are sure but if he ain't back, I see a sweep. At least Jazz no fvck up my bet...

Dubs shouldn't rush Curry. Game 1 is the most crucial and decides how long the series will last. If I were Kerr after Warriors take game 1, I'll keep Curry till game 4. We don't need any aggravation. Curry better meet Kawhi's doctors grin
Do not toy with the Pelicans. AD, Playoff Rondo, and Jrue Holiday are on fire!!. The Warriors needs Steph Curry. I repeat Steph Curry must play for them to advance.

We can say all we can about Russ...

My guy P turned down shot after shot and tried to play smart
Carmelo...no show
Adams did well...but most of his points where from the feeds from Russ also

Yes they could have tried to go for a 2...no doubt...but remember we didnt have a time out...so why not try to hit the 3s when most of them when open

ANd the 2 sef...u now stiffle tower will be waiting there also...

Russ def must have gassed out

Donovan wasnt able to get in a good system...pronto...OKC needs a new coach unfortunately..

If we switched coaches...JAzz and OKC...OKC would have won maybe in 5 sef..but all that is conjecture

Time for another rebuild....unfortuntely...with no money and assets
I heard that the officiating was bad. Paul George was fouled twice but no call.
