Thank you Debbieeee! We later got an agency that helped us get Delta and Qatar airlines. The problem is the POE to choose
New York o! So far they’ve been the most lenient, please others too can mention lenient POE’s. I myself I intend to route via JFK when I’m ready to travel

I was issued a white slip. I think its a new development. Any one who has this slip and has travelled recently should confirm if the date stamped is the automatic 6months or less.

Please let's not create confusion on this thread. A US visa is not an authorization to enter into the USA. It is an authorization 'to apply' for entry into the USA. The application for entry is done during the interview with Customs at any USA border; this can be done even if you have 1 day remaining on your visa. The Customs personnel grants you authorization 'to enter' the USA and assigns you a stay duration.....this is typically 6months for B1/B2 visa holders but can be less.

DanerNo1:

You can be sent back if your visa is not valid 6 months or more.

Good afternoon everyone and happy Sunday!
Pls I need your help. I want to give birth in US, had my first baby there and my visa is about to expire in May.. with what I’ve been reading, I think it’s better I travel with this visa before it expires. Pls I’ve been trying to book a flight and I’ve been seeing that flights are restricted for people with b1/b2 visa. Pls which airline accepts people with this visa.
Someone suggested Delta but I’m traveling with a child less than 2years and there’s no place on Delta site for under 2 years, means I have to pay for two adults. Pls I need your suggestions and help

People swear by JFK really.

The gust about scrutiny at JFK is new to me. I have not travelled in a while. Maybe you can ask people who have travelled recently especially those who have travelled for the purpose of birthing.

All the best.
Lochinny:
Thank you so much everyone for ur kind advice. I really appreciate. Pls I would appreciate if someone can help suggest a good POE now. I wanted to use JFK which was what I used the last time I traveled to have my baby and by God’s grace, it was a smooth experience. The agent I’m using adviced against it that currently people avoid JFK because they now scrutinize everyone. I’m now confused on what to use.. I have JFK, Dallas Fort Worth and Atlanta as my options. Pls which one do you guys suggest I use? Thank you

Great idea ! May your entry be successful please keep the house updated. As for me I still dey find date to renew for Lagos. Sometimes I’ll see January 2nd 2024, sometimes I’ll see January 9 2024 grin so funny.
Another thing would have been to book BA or DELTA, one that the POE is NYC , so you don’t have to stress to bother about local flight booking. Regardless sha we move!

I’m really grateful to have searched for this thread. I have read through and have learnt a lot. It’s my first time trying to birth in the USA. I have looked up doctoresperati (many thanks to the update here). I would like more options and guidance. Anyone with more links please?

Also, newbies in the house in need of a planning partner. kindly reach out.
