What engine do you have, is the 3.5 or 2.5? How does the car behave to justify the MAF was the culprit?
prosper427:
Please Nissan fans in the house does any know where I can buy MAF sensor for a 03 Nissan Altima either brand new or so-called tokumbo I couldn't get it here in IB the rewires here are bunch of old fashioned stuffs telling me they have to keep trying different sensors until they are able to find the matching one. I do not understand what that means. Kind of try n error, can't accept that for my Altima I still love the ride.

Hi! Please I need some1 to put me through. I just purchased a 2003 fx35, though a used one, it accelerate fine when in parking and the acceleration meter raises above 4 down, but when I put on driving it gives poor acceleration, gear selects fine but car drives heavy and slow on the road that all car passes me and if I press down the acceleration on that motion hardly the acceleration reading meter raises above 2 ,don't raise up to 3mtr, and it's makes me have pains on my foot cause I press the acceleration pedal hard but it gives poor movement. What cloud be the issue?

I should have accused your Airflow meter for the rmp not going beyond 3 but u said it goes beyond 3 when parked. Try and change it or remove it , clean properly and reinstall it .

Nissan Tiida 2009 a good car?
Re: Official Nissan & Infiniti Thread by sureboykris(m): 6:05am On Mar 23, 2021
Good morning.
I've a problem.
My mechanic decides to clean my plugs and clean injectors and nozzles of my car.
After the procedure, I've been having white smoke coming out of my exhaust.
He doesn't seem to have a solution.
I think the engine is bad.
Do I need a new engine?
Please what's the cost.
2001 Nissan infiniti qx4
Thank you
Re: Official Nissan & Infiniti Thread by smartistics(m): 4:34pm On Mar 25, 2021
The oil pump in that engine HR hardly get spoil like you stated. Do you have low oil pressure warning light previously before the final damage? If no, then that wasn't the cause of the damage. Bad oil pump won't even damage them because they are immersed in the oil except you run the engine for long with little and low quality oil. In line of repair, tell the mechanic to check the oil gallery in the inner timing inner, if not sealing well then the oil won't supply to the cams and chain.

Please somebody should recommend a better substitute for Total SAE 40 classic oil for my Nissan Primera 2000 tiger face 1.8 litre engine. I couldn't get the said oil brand oil in all Total filling station due to their rebranding issue. My car is due for service but am skeptical on better oil.My engine is still in top notch, so I don't want oil that will deteriorate its performance. Gurus in the house help ur brother out

Good Day, I observed that if am driving on smooth roads the ABS, 4WD, VDC lights dont show up on my 2008 Nissan Pathfinder V8 but when I drive over a bump or pot hole or turn by a junction when on low speed these lights come on and the vehicle stalls and practically does not move. To get the vehicle moving I will remove the battery terminals and wait for some seconds, put the terminals back before the pathy starts and moves. Like today I went to Keffi from Abuja and had to do like over 5 stops to do that. I scanned the vehicle and it threw up C1131 and C1163 codes. How do I resolve them please and have my pathy fixed. Am in Abuja.
Re: Official Nissan & Infiniti Thread by smartistics(m): 12:26pm On Apr 07, 2021
First check your brake fluid level, if it is up to normal then check the abs sensor the one malfunctioning.

Hello all, My service engine soon light came up on my Nissan Maxima 2000 yesterday and when I scanned the car it came out with p0400 code. However, the car still starts and runs normally so my question is that "is this a major issue?" Should I still continue to use the car like that?

Likely a clogged EGR valve tube. If you experience periods of rough idle or increase in fuel consumption, you will need to clean out dirt inside the tube or replace the valve if it remains stuck in one position.

You may wish to try any or all of these.

Try all of these...

**a quick reset can be accomplished by disconnecting the negative battery terminal, and depressing the brake a few times.

ECU Resetting Procedures
Timing is extremely critical. If it is NOT DONE within the specify time, the ECU will not reset and the Check Engine Light (CEL) will continue to remain ON.
Operations Procedures
1. Confirm that accelerator pedal is fully released, turn ignition switch “ON” and wait 3 seconds.
2. Repeat the following steps (2a and 2b) procedures quickly five times within 5 seconds.
2a. Fully depress the accelerator pedal (HARD).
2b. Fully release the accelerator pedal.
3. Wait 7 seconds, fully depress the accelerator pedal and keep it for approx. 10 seconds until the CEL starts blinking.
4. Fully release the accelerator pedal (while the CEL is still blinking)
5. Wait about 10 second.
6. Fully depress the accelerator pedal and keep it for more than 10 seconds.
7. Fully release the accelerator pedal (The CEL light will continue to blink).
8. Turn ignition switch to “OFF” position and now you can start the car. The CEL light should be gone.
If the CEL light continues to remain ON, repeat the above steps. Timing is EXTREMELY critical to resetting the ECU.

Accelerator Pedal Release Position Learning
Operation Procedure
1. Make sure that the accelerator pedal is fully released.
2. Turn ignition switch “ON” and wait at least 2 seconds.
3. Turn ignition switch “OFF” wait at least 10 seconds.
4. Turn ignition switch “ON” and wait at least 2 seconds.
5. Turn ignition switch “OFF” wait at least 10 seconds.

Throttle Valve Closed Position Learning
Operation Procedures
1. Make sure that accelerator pedal is fully released.
2. Turn ignition switch to “ON”.
3. Turn ignition switch to “OFF” wait at least 10 seconds.
Make sure that the throttle valve moves during above 10 seconds by confirming the operating sound.

Idle Air Volume Learning (Throttle Position Learning)
It is better to count the time accurately with a clock. 1. Perform “Accelerator Pedal Released Position Learning”.
2. Perform “Throttle Valve Closed Position Learning”.
3. Start engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature.
4. Turn ignition switch “OFF” and wait at least 10 seconds.
5. Confirm that the accelerator pedal is fully released, then turn ignition switch “ON” and wait 3 seconds.
6. Repeat the following (steps 7a, 7b) procedures quickly five times within 5 seconds.
7a. Fully depress the accelerator pedal (HARD)
7b. Fully release the accelerator pedal.
8. Wait 7 seconds, fully depress the accelerator pedal and keep it for approx. 20 seconds until the Check Engine Light (CEL) stops blinking and turned ON.
9. Fully release the accelerator pedal within 3 seconds after the CEL is ON.
10. Start engine and let it idle.
11. Wait 20 seconds.
12. Rev up the engine two or three times and make sure the idle speed and ignition timing are within the specifications.
