Interesting! When a person suddenly realizes being on a billionaire's list is not as important as being healthy internally, loving one's self and family, immediate community; realizing billions of dollars cannot and will never say 'thank you for earning us'; that the things that truly, really matter are not by anything materially quantifiable ALONE but by a whole lot of unseen intangibles...why will she or anyone, for that matter, not drop... All who want to be billionaire, setting one's house in order internally is the right step in the best direction
Words of consolation.the billionaires mentioned also have great life and even help their immediate communities more than the woman that dropped

As a woman it's not easy been at the top always, from a girl to lady, lady to a woman, from a woman to grandma, same things happens the energies she puts in when she was a lady can be the same when she's a woman or a grandma. age is telling on her.

I don’t think so it’s hard for everyone right now Even doing the right thing they will label you in this country jealousy thrives but love is cast off

People will doubt her cognitive abilities but I think it’s up to her kids to help and consult even diversify enter tech. Oil has an expiration date technology and tourism doesn’t.

Tech is the future.

All these people depending on oil as the main source of their wealth will surely be disappointed.

At their time, oil was the future and they utilized it very well. They made thier money when oil was the future so they have nothing to be disappointed about. There's nothing to drag with them cause their wealth is already established and they can easily invest in the tech industry if it comes to that. However, it's your time now and it's up to you to make your money now that tech is the future or you'd be the one "disappointed".

Fake lists. There are more Igbo zillionaires but the marginalization we SUFFER from the hands of FULANI cabals and jealousy Yorubas won't let Forbes sees them.

Nkem in Cambodia fortune is worth more than all African billionaires.

This is part of the reason Biafra must be achieved

Perhaps you don't understand what $1bn is. With $2.2m, you are a Nigerian billionaire and can make all the noise you want. Those on N30k/month salary will treat you like a god.

Vanguard
Folorunso Alakija's drop was long expected. The business savvy Ijebu woman from the very wealthy Ogbara family of Ikorodu Oga,
Lagos State, has hit the billionaire peak with the drop in oil price, Covid and devaluation.

She seems not to be so crazy
about making billions of USD money with her devotion to her religion over the years.

She's been spending what millions in USD she has on charitable causes and religion.

Perhaps any of her children
will be the ones to take the
Alakija name back into the list
of USD billionaires!
