Wow! Thanks for the update!

It looks like they are already working on the carpark and this terminal building is planned to have two avio bridges eventually!
This is really turning out to be a classic modern airport!

I want to see the night owl. I hope he has not hugged a transformer yet! I want him to see the commissioning and aircrafts landing on this marvelous airport before he does the needful grin grin grin

I join Fr. Ejike Mbaka in blessing the airport. As planes fly and soar high from the Chief Willie Obiano International Airport Umueri, the enemies of that airport actively fighting against it like evil owls shall diminish until they perish. The Chief Willie Obiano International Airport Umueri is blessed.

I maintain my stance which is that ONE it is a waste of money and TWO I don't expect Obiano to build anything world class with his history from the nonsense flyovers he built in Awka to the uncompleted expressway between Amansea and Amawbia 8 years later. This airport will not be ready before 2022 at the earliest and already it looks substandard.

Mumu na so.
Anambra International Airport has a GPS satellite landing system, instrument landing system, CAT 2 lighting system, the only Airport in Nigeria with GPS satellite and CAT 2 lighting system with 1000m resa on each end of the runway making it largest and longest runway so far. the runway was cut more than 350meters deep B4 laying of subbase, stone base and construction etc making it the deepest and thickest runway in West Africa, Anambra airport runway has the capacity to take more than 5 Airbus A380 and still last for more than 100years
the control tower is the tallest and best control tower in Nigeria, it can control all the aircraft coming to land at any Airport in eastern Nigeria with a self firefighting equipment and 300years lifespan

Our runway and control is the best so far in West Africa

Our terminal is the best so far, and there's a plan For a second terminal building

Are you missing me? I am right here. grin grin grin grin grin grin

Nothing special about the airport. I would have been impressed if Anambra State government got the FGN to use its own money to build a classy airport not this cowshed. Akwa Ibom is quietly building a proper airport without taking half of the their politicians to see it unlike the boastful Obiano.

See Victor Attah International Airport and MMA2 below. This is what airport is supposed to look like.

Now you are beginning to sound like a hater or a political jobber for the opposition. I use to take your criticism seriously before because yes some of your arguments raised were valid and because I believe in constructive criticism.

However from recent events and comments from you even with the level of progress done and the result seen so far, you are beginning to sound like a bitter hater and a jealous ex, Anambra airport has turned out better than I expected especially by Nigeria Standard, it is in the level of Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport Abuja and Muritala Mohammed International Airport Lagos, not the local wing you posted I have used both Airports so I know better.

Guy stop with the hate if you want to make constructive criticism fine well and good but if you are going to hate and sound like a nagging wife on here guy go and learn a trade and make more money cause you don't need to hate on your own especially when it is not below par with what is generally accepted. No other Airport in Nigeria competes with this one so stop being a pain to your self, even the Akwa Ibom airport your love to mention have not left the drawing board, what is on ground is not yet worth any mention so wait before you use that for any reference.

I think ANSG should construct an interchange at Ifite road, Aroma junction; just like they have it at Independence tunnel Lagos. It will help to reduce traffic gridlock at aroma environment. while building the interchange, they should also dualize Ifite road from Zik avenue to Amansea/Ifite Awka boundary.
below is my proposed design. please let's spread until it gets to the state government.... Maka odimma Anambra

God bless you my brother we need more minds like yours, we need criticism for this government and the airport but not one born out of hate or jealousy. Once again thank you please keep giving more ideas where necessary you never know the govt might find it necessary and see need for you to be a part of the team that executes it.

See the classic worldclass Anambra international airport terminal building

Bros, you got it right! This airport is world-class by every standard! Thank God Obiano took the pains to build it to a world-class level rather than cut corners as we usually observe here in Nigeria and especially in the southeast.

I'm glad the night owl has not committed suicide yet. I prefer he stays and is tormented by Rev. Fr. Mbaka's exorcism prayers against those demons speaking through him. grin grin Now that the whole place has been blessed, I seriously worry about his survival after Friday. grin grin grin

Hopefully, after a successful Friday, the attention will switch to internal completion and decoration of the terminal building, equipping the tower, and runway with cat 2 lights and other projects such as water supply system, gatehouse, Fire House, baggage carousel, Flat-screen TV screens on the wall to show flight information and some showing entertainment in departure areas of the airport.

As Victor Attah International Airport, Akwa Ibom state is not building an airport they are building an airport terminial on an already built airport, and as for the federal government direct them to Enugu airport to finish the project that was started in October 22, 1976 LOL.

This airport currently beat up many Nigeria airport and remember that no airport project finishes once, it’s about additional structures and more structural projects if airport becomes operational. I have seen lot of airport overseas and Anambra Airport for now is still the best. It’s not just about the terminal building because building can always be built even hotels car parks and railway links into airport so it’s a gradual process but for now let’s appreciate And Congratulate Anambra state government for this quality project. In no distance time we will be talking about the cargo terminal/warehouse, and I suggest a structure like the one in my comment photo.

This thread is still as funny as when i left it cheesy. Some of u here are very funny,,who is an owl that was casted by Mbaka at the airport? OMG! cheesy

Una welldone o. Its not easy. God continue to bless Willy Willy. I passed through the new and beautifully constructed Enugwu ukwu road from the express..such a solid road. Was tgat construction carried out by FGN or the state? They tried. At least those roads are helping to reduce traffic in Awka now that some places are blocked.

But the other road from tge express which is tge abagana road needs a lot of work pls. I am cslling on those in charge to send a message to the governor...that road needs serious maintenance. Erosion is gradually creeping in and also the road has been turnes to a serious refuse dump site...very dirty and stinks. Pics attached.
Pls urgent attention is needed on that road Abagana road cut that leads to the onitsha express way.
If these few adjoining roads can be upgraded to look like that of the Enugwu ukwu road cut from the express..believe u me traffic congestion will reduce especially during the yuletide seasons.

Indigenous energy firm rolls out Nigeria's 1st natural gas-powered buses

The innovation arrives as Nigeria makes the shift from over-reliance on solid fuels to natural gas.

OMAA launches commercial buses powered by natural gas
OMAA launches commercial buses powered by natural gas

Mass production of these buses have already commenced.

The roll out took place at the company's facility in Igbo Ukwu near Nnewi, Anambra State, southeast Nigeria.

Among those who observed the landmark event were Dr. Ishaku Abner, Technical Assistant (Downstream) to the Hon. Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Pat Igwebuike, Special Adviser to the Anambra State Governor on Legal Matters and Dr. Mohammed M. Ibrahim, Chairman of the National Gas Expansion Programme (NGEP).

OMAA manufactures factory-fitted dual-fuel vehicles to meet the growing demand of vehicles that run on cleaner energy sources within Nigeria and across Africa.

The company intends to showcase its facility and demonstrate its ability to cater to energy demands for the transportation and energy industry in Nigeria with natural gas.

The event arrives on the heels of the federal government’s declaration of the decade of gas--a commitment to diversify the economy and see Nigeria develop and commercialize its natural gas resources.

According to the NNPC, domestic demand for natural gas will rise from current levels of 1.5 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf) to 7.4 Bcf by 2027.

Chinedu Oguegbu, Founder and CEO of OMAA, says: "This is the beginning of a trend that will revolutionize not just the transportation industry, but the energy industry in Nigeria, by accelerating utilization of the abundant natural gas resources we are endowed with."

He noted that the buses are rugged and more durable because they are made for Nigerian roads.

The company is also expanding its network nationwide to ensure quality aftersales and availability of spare parts.

Speaking at the roll-out, Dr. Ibrahim says, “OMAA has been a robust partner of the National Gas Expansion Program and there is no doubt that the company is on track to make a tremendous impact in the energy and transportation industries.”

In her remarks, Mrs. Igwebuike says: “It is delightful to see such innovative developments take place in Anambra State. With this technology, I believe that OMAA will eventually become a staple brand in the industry."

A recent World Health Organisation (WHO) report indicates that 3.8 million people die annually from illnesses attributed to household pollution, arising from inefficient use of solid fuels and kerosene for cooking.

In 2022, the company plans to introduce a wider portfolio of solutions to address the energy demand in the residential, commercial and industrial markets, using natural gas.

This is great. I didn't even know that Anambra has another Vehicle manufacturing company besides Innoson. The owners need to do more in terms of publicity so that their products patronage can expand exponentially. Good investment.
