FG Declares Monday, May 3rd Public Holiday To Celebrate Workers Day by Kwanza: 12:39pm On Apr 29, 2021
The Federal Government has declared Monday, May 3, 2021, public holiday to mark this year’s International Workers Day Celebration.

The Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola, who made the declaration on behalf of the federal government, congratulated Nigerian Workers for witnessing this year’s celebration.

He commended them for their patience, understanding and support in driving the policies and programmes of the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration in its determination to move the country to the next level of socio-economic development.

Aregbesola called for more dedication and patriotism from all Nigerian Workers and the Labour Unions, saying the challenges of the moment will soon be over as the government is committed to the security of lives and property of all Nigerians.

“Government is putting all strategies in place to curb the challenges of insecurity in the country. I therefore call on the Labour Force and all patriotic citizens to be fully committed to the task of putting insecurity to a permanent end as much as possible,” he stressed.

Aregbesola wishes all Nigerian Workers a peaceful May Day Celebration.

All these celebration of this and that has led to me having serious thoughts about something....

Government bodies no fit one day like this, do free giveaway like to declare say make them(the governments) choose a certain day be a day for one to be able to freely cross into other country borders without hindrances/scrutiny .....

Like say government go just arrange airplanes heading to different locations around the world which one could freely make a choice, travel and is liable to spend 2days FREELY?.....Why life choose not to be balanced like this bikonu?

As it should be. Workers deserve to be celebrated. I want us to reevaluate ourselves, if you know you don't wish Nigeria well and you're against her unity and progress, pray that God should have mercy on you and give you a change of heart because Nigeria will surely be great. Let's join hands together and build our nation to greater heights. All enemies of Nigeria will be brought to shame. Very soon Nigeria shall become the envy of the whole world. Nigeria to the world.
