Tgis thread is still as funny as when i left it cheesy. Some of u here are very funny,,who is an owl that was casted by Mbaka at the airport? OMG! cheesy

Una welldone o. Its not easy. God continue to bless Willy Willy. I passed through the new and beautifully constructed Enugwu ukwu road from the express..such a solid road. Was tgat construction carried out by FGN or the state? They tried. At least those roads are helping to reduce traffic in Awka now that some places are blocked.

But the other road from the express which is the abagana road needs a lot of work pls. I am calling on those in charge to send a message to the governor...that road needs serious maintenance. Erosion is gradually creeping in and also the road has been turned to a serious refuse dump site...very dirty and stinks. Pics attached.
Pls urgent attention is needed on that road Abagana road cut that leads to the onitsha express way.
If these few adjoining roads can be upgraded to look like that of the Enugwu ukwu road cut from the express..believe u me traffic congestion will reduce especially during the yuletide seasons.

Indigenous energy firm rolls out Nigeria's 1st natural gas-powered buses
pulse.ng Apr 26, 2021 1:03 PM
The innovation arrives as Nigeria makes the shift from over-reliance on solid fuels to natural gas.

OMAA launches commercial buses powered by natural gas
OMAA launches commercial buses powered by natural gas

Mass production of these buses have already commenced.

The roll out took place at the company's facility in Igbo Ukwu near Nnewi, Anambra State, southeast Nigeria.

Among those who observed the landmark event were Dr. Ishaku Abner, Technical Assistant (Downstream) to the Hon. Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Pat Igwebuike, Special Adviser to the Anambra State Governor on Legal Matters and Dr. Mohammed M. Ibrahim, Chairman of the National Gas Expansion Programme (NGEP).

OMAA manufactures factory-fitted dual-fuel vehicles to meet the growing demand of vehicles that run on cleaner energy sources within Nigeria and across Africa.

The company intends to showcase its facility and demonstrate its ability to cater to energy demands for the transportation and energy industry in Nigeria with natural gas.

The event arrives on the heels of the federal government’s declaration of the decade of gas--a commitment to diversify the economy and see Nigeria develop and commercialize its natural gas resources.

According to the NNPC, domestic demand for natural gas will rise from current levels of 1.5 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf) to 7.4 Bcf by 2027.

Chinedu Oguegbu, Founder and CEO of OMAA, says: "This is the beginning of a trend that will revolutionize not just the transportation industry, but the energy industry in Nigeria, by accelerating utilization of the abundant natural gas resources we are endowed with."

He noted that the buses are rugged and more durable because they are made for Nigerian roads.

The company is also expanding its network nationwide to ensure quality aftersales and availability of spare parts.

Speaking at the roll-out, Dr. Ibrahim says, “OMAA has been a robust partner of the National Gas Expansion Program and there is no doubt that the company is on track to make a tremendous impact in the energy and transportation industries.”

In her remarks, Mrs. Igwebuike says: “It is delightful to see such innovative developments take place in Anambra State. With this technology, I believe that OMAA will eventually become a staple brand in the industry."

A recent World Health Organisation (WHO) report indicates that 3.8 million people die annually from illnesses attributed to household pollution, arising from inefficient use of solid fuels and kerosene for cooking.

In 2022, the company plans to introduce a wider portfolio of solutions to address the energy demand in the residential, commercial and industrial markets, using natural gas.

This is very impressive

This guy did such an awesome job in transforming his state! i hope he ensures that the airport city develops as envisaged by signing an MUO on the development of the airport city before he leaves office.

I now agree with those who say the airport should be named after him in due course as "Thank you" for his vision and giant strides to develop Anambra into a world-class destination.

Wow! Totally Amazing!!! Even the land between the entrance and exit roads after the gatehouse will be sufficient to build a 5-star airport hotel in the future!

I cannot believe this was achieved within 15 months! If I hadn't been here to follow this project myself, I would be the first person to scream "it's impossible, please stop lying!" But I saw it myself, so I can imagine the amount of work and supervision that went into the delivery of such a massive project with everything done to international standards! This is what takes even countries up to 20 years to achieve. Yet, it won't even be at this level of quality!

Thank you Willie Obiano for this awesome project! It's almost unbelievable that it is real. We need serious landscaping with trees, grass and flowers immediately to make sure the environment is truly an Obodo oyibo environment. In Flavours words ~ Doings!!!

I concur........I see God's divine speed behind this uncommon success ! some kind of heavy yoke is being lifted off the shoulders of the Igbo nation, most people cannot see it yet but I can feel it in my spirit. Brethren this is the time to rediscover our homeland. The icing on the cake for me will be achieving full administrative autonomy for our region within the federation, hopefully common sense will prevail and we won't have to go into a serious conflict to achieve that....God will see us through!

Nnewi Security Outfit Rejigged

By Ebubechukwuzuloke Brown

Just like Onitsha and Azia, Nnewi has rejigged its security outfit, providing them with the needed logistics for effective community policing.

This is in response to the security challenges that seemed to have overwhelmed the conventional security agencies, the rebranded vigilantes who were recently trained are all from Nnewi and this will make the exchange of intelligence seamless and effective.

Through donations from Nnewi sons and daughters, they have been equipped with security equipment including seven rugged security vans procured from Innoson Motors (IVM) for mobility, other items, and also arrangement have been made for their welfare.

They will definitely complement the work of the police and other security agencies in intelligence gathering and crime prevention, to ensure a safe Nnewi.

Still wondering how the cargo aspect of the airport is gonna operate. I suggested a few weeks ago that it may be that for now goods will be cleared by customs and evacuated as soon as they arrive for export or importation.

Likely a cargo handling and storage facility will be built when the cargo flights eventually begin. I'm glad they completed the passenger facilities first.

The joy among ndi Anambra as the first commercial flight lands in the state is palpable. This shows that this project has been the one major yearning of ndi Anambra for long but previous governors were too dull and lazy to bring it to reality. This Chief Willie Obiano International Airport Umueri shall be a lasting legacy of the government of Akpokuedike Aguleri.

A Ride In Omaa Bus Assembled In Igboukwu, Anambra State

By Uche Nworah (ABS News)

Good things are happening in Anambra state, under the administration of Chief Willie Obiano, Governor of Anambra state.

It was quite a privilege for me today, Friday, 30th, 2021, riding in the executive luxury bus, Omaa, which is assembled in Igboukwu, Aguata local government area, Anambra state.

We rode to Anambra International Passenger and Cargo Airport, where test commercial flights will be landing today.

Omaa buses are assembled to global specifications by Omaa Global Technology and Engineering Company, a company owned by Onye Anambra, Mr Chinedu Oguegbu, a native of Igboukwu.

The company is partnering with Anambra state government through on the airport through Anambra State Investment Promotion and Protection Agency (ANSIPPA).

Omaa buses run on either gas and petrol.
