Agro airport. Hmmm. Anyway, Let see how far the project will go. Dapo abiodun is a propaganda governor. Before you know what is happening, He will abadon the project just like the way Rauf aregbeshola did in osun state in the name of building an airport. The mko abiola airport is now a wasted project.

Nice one, you would have captured the plane landing in pictures. So enemies of this country's progress and development will not come out and say it was towed in. However, it looks like work is still ongoing

Congrats Anambra people... No late comers when it comes to infrastructure

Imagine Ibadan indegenes with An Airport and a Military Airstrip since over 39 years won't understand the hype of just building an Airport in the year 2021

.

You must understand If the commerce is not there, there is will be no money and if there's no money there will be no business. Many states have atleast an Airstrip. But who will fly to/or from them? Teachers? Street Cleaners or civil servants that are barely paid #18,000?

As an ibadan resident and one that uses the local airport here sometimes.

It's very palpable that you ar describing another airport

Kindly do us a favour by giving us the name of the actual airport.

Mind you, I believe that both ibadan and Anambra airports are both misplaced priorities by clout chasing and clueless political rulers

Ibadan airport can be a misplaced priority but that can not be said for Anambra Airport, Ibadan airport is not even in top 10 , this show how poor the residents are, do they want to tell us that Ibadan residents don't travel? Just look at SM Airport Owerri, been the 4th busiest and we till have Eungu Airport coming 5th or 6th after Lagos, Abuja, and PH Airport, even the almighty Kano and Kaduna can't compete with SM Airport Owerri and Eungu Airport.

I would not have bothered to dignify your useless comment with a response, but since you needed the attention let me remind you that the brown-roof jungle that you call Ibadan, despite its being mouthed as the biggest city in West Africa, is but a glorified urban city.

Had Ibadan suffered the kind of destruction that befell Enugu city in the civil war, it probably would have ceased to exist, perhaps literally obliterated from the map.

A conspiracy of Northern and Yoruba power interests after the civil war denied the Igbos any chances of rebuilding their airport structures to international standards due to unfounded fears that Igbos might start to import weapons. This is why it had taken several years before the FG would reluctantly agree to upgrade the Enugu airport to international standards.

What you're witnessing in Anambra State today is not an Igbo city trying to compete with Ibadan for airports. Rather, it is Igbos defying the odds placed in their way to develop an airport for their own domestic and international use. So, shelve your jealousy.

As a Transport Manager, I would say this: You don't bulid airports just for your community to be among the league of communities with airports. It's a waste of the scarse resources. Where's the traffic gonna come from? How many people from Anambra are financially buoyant to board a flight? Are there Foreign Direct Investments in Anambra to drive traffic to the airport? The answer to all these questions is NO. It would have been better for the Government to use the Billions of Naira on this airport to drive FDI in the state before thinking about this. We have a lot of these aerodromes in the country, but they are not serving their purpose, because of lack of cost benefit analysis.

Anambra has the least poor people in Nigeria, which means Anambra hosts more financially buoyant people than your state. Anambra is top on investments both local and foreign. Anambra has the largest diaspora population in Nigeria

Oga this your write up is meaningless, you are talking about the number one transportation hub in West Africa ie Onitsha and Nnewi. Imo and Eungu airport alone are in the 4th and 5th position after Lagos, Abuja and PH, interms of air passangers movement. For your information that Airport is going to break records, mind you am from Imo State
