Shut the Bleep up! There are far worse countries across Africa, America, and Asia who are not facing these drug issues. Some people will travel abroad and live for decades there and still engage in yahoo/drug traffickint and when they are eventually arrested, fools and low-level criminals like yourself try to justify them with all sorts of silly excuses. Some portions of Nigerians are always called poverty ravaged people but beside noticing few almajiri among thm have u ever seen them into mass local & international prostitution, drugs peddling, human trafficking, baby factory, yahoo scam, ritualism and cultism all in the name of hard life? Are all these afformentioned illicit businesses not common among some Nigerians when life was better than now?

The dude in the news might just end up being a cattle rearer if thats what everyone around him knows. He could have also been a lawyer , engineer or professor is he's surrounded by such tyes. Peer pressure affects everyone's sense of judgement. If someone graduates with an expectation to secure a job and roams the streets for 5 years and a criminal offers him an opportunity to travel out on the same condition this dude just fell for, the likelihood of him accepting the offer is higher than if he was able to fend for himself and family from his income.

Don't get me wrong, I never justified any crime. The summary of my post is that the number of those indulging in this will be reduced if the country's situation was better. Now, it seems like thats the only way out for some people, which is wrong.

Even civilized nations have their own crimes too, but compare the ratio of the youths into these in those countries to those in Nigeria and see the margin.
