SHIIIIITEHOLE:
no wonder your zoo country is a certified shiithole. The poverty capital of the world. Nigeria is not even fit to polish Ghana's shoes, edi0t! Nigeria is not Ghana's mate mudder fuggerz cool

nigerians are always smoking weed and talking trash cool Look around you, edi0t! people are kidnapped in that dirty zoo for a ransom of gala and a bottle of coke. Is this a country? You have the 9th largest reserves of natural gas yet how many hours of electricity do get in that filthy, shambolic zoo?

15 million nigerian children are out of school and roaming the streets, as we speak. These are future boko haram, pr0stitutes, armed robbers, ritualists, kidnappers. You want to compare yourselves with Ghana, f00l? I will ask only 3 questions. First, how many hours of electricity per day do you get in that smelly dump? second, what is life expectancy in that zoo? Third, what percentage of your youths are gainfully employed? cool

stvpid f000ls. Ghana attracts more FDI than a country of 300 million apes. Tweaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa you mudder fuggerz are a big disgrace to humanity.

nigerians don't see anything good in Ghana/ Ghanaians, so why do they still come to Ghana? People with twisted brains behave like that. Come to Ghana and see how Nigerians full everywhere, yet these ingrates hardly have anythin good to say about Ghana and Ghanaians. Better people appreciate Ghana, so why should anyone give a fvck what a bunch of disgruntled, frustrated people think?

actually it was wise of nigeria to back out of the currency because it'll practically be putting the biggest economy in africa under the french supervision
The plan was for west africa to print and co trol it's currency
A 10 years plan gone to water because a french loyal ivory coast president went behind everyone's back to sign a deal with the french government to print the new eco currency which should be like the euro used by countries in the eu except the uk till it left

The eco currency was supposed to be a new start for nigeria but now we have to put our focus back on the failing naira

France wants to have a strong hold I'm west africa like they do I'm central africa and their plans is progressing because most french speaking african countries leaders are french puppets

My only wish is that the british had kept it'sInterest in africa so they'll be able to put france in it's place but they were too broken after ww2
Many people don't know france has a lot of territories or countries outside europe's mainland france and they were the only ones who poured a lot of money trying to keep a territory in africa for years after other world leaders were backing out of africa
No african nation right now is enough to rival france without help get leading nations
Eco currency going south was one of the reasons nigeria closed its borders with it's neighbors especially since they are all femech speaking nations/nations once colonized by france

Also the ghana cedis isn't higher than naira although it looks so,they practice redenomination of their currency something nigeria once considered
well said.. I get tired of ignorant people saying cedis is bigger than naira... Naira has more value than cedis.. Example,A can of coke worth 120naira is 200naira(cedis equivalent).

This is weird, how can you say naira has more value than codis, does naira has more value than xefa?

Because I went to a salon to fix my hair for 500naira in Nigeria, the equivalent in the USA is 9,800naira which is $20. Does that make naira has more value than usd?
Wahala dey for who no wise.

I went with airpeace and I booked it 135k, and you have to be with a covid test and yellow fever test!
But my friend booked his 81k but simply because I booked mine 2 days before the day i fly and he booked his a week before ! So the nearer the date you are flying the more expensive your ticket is

And also you have to show a $50 note because you will do another covid test on arrival at the Aiport in Ghana. The $50 will be payed on arrival instantly and you don’t have to pay any $50 for Ecowas stamping!
And for someone going for 14 days you have to do one in Nigeria tho Guys dey run am, then another one on arrival at Ghana Aiport and then another one after your 14 days !
I hope I have answered all your questions.

must i show proove of fund in my account before traveling or no need?

No you do not need it because you do not require a visa nor an interview.

Decades of high inflation devalued the new cedi, so that in 2007 the largest of the "new cedi" banknotes, the 20,000 note, had a value of about US$2. The new cedi was gradually phased out in 2007 in favor of the "Ghana cedi" at an exchange rate of 1:10,000. By removing four digits, the Ghana cedi became the highest-denominated currency unit issued in Africa. It has since fallen to about 20% of its original purchasing power when the currency was redenominated.

Please where are you getting your own black market rate at 70 naira maybe I can also patronise the person.

It has been hovering around 87 naira for some weeks now.

I am also living in Accra

Localordinary:
Official rate is actually 1cedis=65 naira whilst black market is 70 naira. Whilst growing up,I could remember how useless the franc xefa was, today naira and xefa are in the range. By end of this year, the francophone countries in West Africa including Ghana has introduced a new currency called eco currency. It is shame on Nigerian leaders.

Thank you very much for this detailed analysis. The clear difference between an average Nigerian and a Ghanaian is patriotism. Nigerians are always very good to lament the negative side of our country everywhere.

It is understandable for a Nigerian who is leaving the country for the first time and coming to a country like Ghana with stable electricity to see it as an Eldorado.

When you stay longer in the country and start thinking and seeing beyond electricity, then you will appreciate Nigeria better in some ways.

Trust me, Ghanaians will frustrate your life if you own a business as a foreigner especially as a Nigerian.

They abhor competition and will systematically ostracise your business through the people and government agencies.

Representing my employer in the country for the last 3 years has really opened my eyes to the mindset of average Ghanaians.

In fact, I don't bother to relate with them anymore other than business meetings.

I wish the OP all the best.

abnot:

We'll both agree that ghanians enjoy cheaper and stable power supply than Nigerians on one hand and the average ghanian city (accra, kumasi ) is safer than the average nigerian city. In the area of economic strength, output and prosperity Ghanians/Ghana is no match to Nigeria. Nigerian cities are more developed than Ghanian cities (Accra is the most developed Ghanian city).

The reason I'm emphasizing this is that prior to 2015 I had been to cities in europe , north america and two middle eastern cities and I was hearingso much about how nigeria was a shithole and how ghana was everything that Nigeria was not. Then 2015 came with my girlfriend moving to accra. I made many trips there and was disappointed probably because my expectations were high. I later got a job in 2016 that got travelling to banjul, monrovia, accra, addis ababa, nairobi , j'burg, cotonou, dar es salaam, maputo, luanda and dakar. Of all these cities only nairobi , j'burg and to some extent luanda impressed me. Nigerian cities of Lagos (particularly lagos island) and abuja were far ahead of these cities. In fact the locals in most of these cities still serve the europeans and from the hotel to the gym to the restaurants the locals were more like workers to the white people there. Nigerians own and run most of the businesses in Nigeria. In these countries the white man is still seen and regarded as the alpha & omega. In ethiopia the chinese run the show from sme to the big sectors. This experience made me respect the hardworking Nigerian man/woman more.
If Nigeria had a better government the issue of security and power will not even be as pronounced as it is but amidst all these challenges the Nigerian man/woman has built strong enterprises and a much stronger economy than any of the countries in west africa. Look at the area of aviation, ghana has not been able to build both private or national airlines. In nigeria the govt failed in its quest to build a national airline yet nigerian investors built arik, air peace, associated airlines, bristow and now green africa. In the area of banks nigerian banks play a dominant role in ghana with the government constantly squeezing them and threatening their existence. In telecoms Glo is also been squuezed but managing to survive. In ghana african world airline is owned by the chinese and not ghana or ghanians. Down to the sme sector the ghanian investment promotion council recently went round shutting down shops owned by Nigerians as there businesses were performing better than that of the ghanians.

I can go on and on but I dont subscribe to the notion of seeing nothing good in Nigeria/nigerians aside negativity . Every society or country has its positives and negatives

Then from badagry to Seme 2500#(I dropped at Total)
From Total I took a bike to cross the border 3000#( I was dropped in the park)
From That Park to lome border that’s Aflao (13,500)
But you know the border is locked so I had to use some connections
Sha lemme know if you’re are coming...if I would still be around I can put you through but my flight is on 19th o

Thanks for your response. I'm not the one coming there. A friend is in Ghana he said the land borders haven't been opened but that people go through the back door. I wanted to know if it's true, hence my reason for asking if you went by road or air.

And again I would want to ask if Lagos to Ghana is a days journey?
