As regards accomodation, everyone has someone in Lagos
If not, why is the state crowded?
You just didn't ask your parents who they know in Lagos.

The only thing I'll advise you is to come and try your luck in the city. No one knows where his luck lies in this life until he makes an attempt. But armed with 20k to any city in Nigeria is suicidal.
You need to have known one brother from your village who has settled comfortably in Lagos and is willing to assist you while you find your footing.
Lagosians are very smart and can recognize JJC's from afar. Don't come and end up as a missing person's case in your pursuit for a better life.
That being said, best wishes as you follow your heart.

Hi OP, You can't totally rule out knowing someone or having a family member in Lagos, this is what will give you leverage. Lagos is land of 'all man for himself' I wish you the very best in your endeavour. Lagos is hot as rightly said but opportunities still abound.
However, these info is very crucial to your survival and success.
Your first job may be in a private security environment (that's a job readily available)
If you know how to drive, it will be a plus. from there, bigger opportunities can show up.

Lagos is not worth it bro. Ahmed Musa, Emmanuel Dennis, Moses Simon, Samuel Chukwueze, Etebo, and a whole lot of others didn't come to Lagos before they made it.

I'm also a fresh graduate working in Lagos, I've just spent a week here. I traveled from Osun State. But you know what, I'll soon leave this rat race state. It doesn't worth it.

I believe I will make it in Osun State. This Lagos na just hype angry

Pls don't be foolish. Sorry to use such word ,but under d description of ur situation and intent ,I had no other word to use,
Lagos is not that land of opportunities u think. There r opportunities in other states, since u r a graduate, companies employ people in their branches in other states.
Lagos is crowded , and as u think u r coming to a greener pasture , u make me laugh, don't worry , ur pocket n that 20k u ve , less ur tp , il make d life of d pick pockets, fraudsters n d rest of d wise guys in Lagos greener . Greener pastures; this guy really dey foolish. U think it is d lagos of ur grand fathers u dey come meet?

Ironic the advice people giving .... the same advice they are given when planning to go abroad under the same circumstances. Their advice is good... but the one given to them is ehmmm..... discouragement.

My advise for you brother:

1. Clear the mindset that KOGI is not for you. Anyone can become prosperous anywhere. A lot of people are in Lagos and they can't boast of 2 meals per day. Slawomiir is a living witness.

2. I'm glad you're a graduate, there are many opportunities for you there.

3. Sir, since you're in Kogi, you can venture into farming, sell your produces to Lagosians and create time for your football skills. From there, one of your rich customers might assist you.

4. Finally, pray for God's direction.
