they sent the nonsense to me 3yrs back, na scam ooo. called them and they were saying nonsense. turns out they have a website which they use to deceive people

GNLD people... E no go better with you people. These people made me spend my hard-earned 90,000 that year. Was it 2014? Yeah, 2014. An introvert like me come turn motivational speaker overnight not because I wanted to motivate anybody but because I was desperate to recover the money I spent buying their useless, highly expensive products. Chai! One of the products was Supergro. I still even have the gallons. My mum now uses the gallons to store palm oil. Chai my 90k wey I suppose use buy laptop. You guys think companies just request for names of unemployed Nigerians from NPC and start shortlisting them for interviews?

I really don't understand how this is an argument.
Application here is an expression of interest, it can be done in proxy, it can be informal (send your cv to xxxx, send me your cv).

But to say there was no application and you were called for an Interview or called to assume duty is just bogus.

but then again, there is the exception to this rule where someone else's details are erroneously captured in an application or gatecrashing!

In any case, the standard applies 99.9% of the time and the exception should not be used as the standard as it can be misleading

Don't go alone. find someone to escort you to the venue. let the person stay outside and remain in contact with the person over the phone on Chat or text message. Be very observant. Ensure it is not a lonely area for the safety of the person outside. If it is a lonely place, both of you should go back home immediately.
If you suspect anything unsafe, make a move that will let them know that you are not alone, probably excuse yourself and tell them that your Dad or Uncle is almost here, that you want to confirm if he has arrived.
