Yeah about the job stuff in Ghana he need to chill and if he thinks he really need to leave Nigeria then he should be prepared ! No country is easy to work as a foreigner even the almighty Usa ain’t easy for blacks/foreigner , determination is all that matters. I believe if someone could be humble and start a car wash business in Ghana ,he might strive because earning 1000 cedis in a month is 100k in naira and he can do a bit better than Nigeria

Owning a car wash or washing cars?

You have to declare amounts exceeding 10,000 USD. Nobody will disturb you if you carry less.

I would advice you to change your money to USD before the travel. NGN to GHS rates are exorbitant where available.

There is a 50 USD payment for Covid19 Antigen test immediately you arrive Accra and AirPeace staff at the MMIA counter will request to see this before they issue you with a boarding pass.

You don't need to settle anybody as long as your travel documents are up to date.

You should have changed your naira to cedis in Nigeria before embarking on the trip. As at today cedis is 75 naira if you change in Nigeria.
But when you take the naira to Ghana it loses more value.
where can i get cedis in the country at this rate?

Hello Guys!!!

I have followed up this thread and read almost everything.

Is quite saddened what Nigeria has turned into.

I base in Lagos state and I run a start of business of foreign Used sales of laptop and phones.

I'm thinking of taking my business to Ghana.

Is it possible to set up there and make great sales.

Would it be profitable?

I can always get my goods here and take it there sale.

I need advice here.

Thanks.

Ghana been a shithole country yes... Nigerian naira is not in African's first 15 strongest currencies in Africa. Ghana cedis is in first 3 in Africa. Naira and xefa are in the same level. I don't know when last your changed naira to cedis. Wakeup

Ghana is more expensive than Nigeria, and Naira is really useless compared to Cedis so you have to be financially ready! And about getting a job i really don’t know about that but you should see a job because the country seem accommodating and I would tell you to budget within 300k-500k on arrival means you must enter Ghana with that amount so you won’t be stranded at worse 200k which is 2000 cedis

I keep recounting those zero behind that 2000....200k = 2000
Come on, is Naira that useless? shocked

Nice thread!

I plan to visit Ghana for 5 days next month. Actually wanted to go by road so I could see Benin rep and Togo but since the borders are still officially closed, I may have to do air movement.

Please how much was the flight cost?
Any idea the cost for a decent hotel?

Thanks

Hello, How is everyone doing!
Don’t really know how to start a thread, this is my first time but i am going to try !
Left Nigeria for Ghana on the 23rd of March and by air and i have been impressed by what I have seen so far, Truly the Giant of Africa is no more Giant. Nigeria is just getting worse but well let’s be hopeful!

Some reactions and comments i will continue the thread and the advantages and disadvantages of living/staying in Ghana

Thanks!

I just dey laff dem.. Cedis dats is worthless is what they are hyping..
Present day cedis is equivalent to 75naira..
Meaning 1cedis = 75 naira
1cedis is like 100naira in Ghana..if you buy recharge card 1cedis(which is 100naira value), it is equivalent to 75naira in Nigeria. All they did was to remove like 2 zeros from their currency. Nothing has changed.

Continue to deceive yourself. Continue to save your money in naira. Your eyes go soon clear. You are not a business man.

If you have taken time to read from the first page just like I did, you would have seen where it was said that it's visa free.
You don't need visa to enter Ghana.

Ghana is a place for comfort and peace even though its expensive place to live in. Stable economy, good roads. Ghana of now is like Nigeria in the 90s. I have been living here since 2018 and ever since i left Lagos Nigeria,my life has been so peaceful. Although Ghana is not as beautiful as Nigeria, nor neither are they richer than Nigeria but there is a system that is working here. Ghana is a freedom country, no police harassment. God blessed the day I left the shores of Nigeria.
2018? Wow, you must be able to speak at least a bit of ewe or twi by now
Btw what do you do in Ghana? Working or doing business?

And God will bless the day i left the shores of Nigeria too because i ain’t going anytime soon even though i am leaving Ghana in the next few days! As an average Nigeria youth if leaving Nigeria isn’t in your plan , I don’t know what you thinking of , though there are some people who are still patriotic
Have you left or still in Ghana?
