I am about buying any of 2007-2012 ml350. My mechanic advised I should go for it that i can use it for all round daily use.
I mean from house to office to meetings etc. (Monday to Sunday use)

That is why I want those who use their everyday to share their experience

1. Is it possible and how long have you been using yours?
2. Do you use it during raining season where most part of lagos are flooded?

I don't want to travel far for routine maintenance or minor repairs.

Car is 2008 ML 550 (Engine: M273.. 5.5L V8)

1. Left Side mirror
2. Rear left tail (traficator) bulb
3. O2 (oxygen) sensor
4. Knock sensor
5. 4 wheel sensors for the tyre pressure monitoring system
6. Engine oil filter
7. Engine air filter (2)
8. Cabin air filter
9. Brake fluid

I don't know if you have removed the manual compressor yet. I wish I saw your post earlier.
There's no need to remove the manual compressor.... don't forget that some modifications have been done in your vehicle to accommodate the compressor.

The difference between the "automatic" and "manual " compressors in relation to how they communicate with the ECU is the solonoid valve.
The automatic compressor comes with the solonoid valve embedded in the compressor while the manual does not.
All you needed to do in this case is to introduce the solonoid valve and connect to ECU; once this is done the ECU will work with the manual compressor as it would with the automatic...it won't throw error codes or run the fan at maximum speed.

Thank you for the comments. I can't explain how but I observed the noise stopped for 2 days leading to the visit to Kingreign today. He also confirmed theres no need to change the parts. Much appreciated.

Scan that car and sort that check engine(obd11 will tell) .I can never drive with check engine it gets me paranoid.Now to the ESP .....a lot of things can cause that.If you worked on your legs just turning the steering to the left and right and centralising it clears that.If you car has any misalignment due to faulty thyrod ends or steering rack.Get a mechanic to inspect.If all is okay scan the car(not with obd11 o)it may be electrical.
