Last year, I started working for this man in his bet store..

I worked for four months.. during the 2nd month he paid me my first salary.. after that we went on to the 3rd month, I asked for my second salary, he started giving me excuses on how his shop rent is due and needed to pay it first, that I should wait and give him some time he would pay. I said okay.

Fourth month reached, nothing was happening, at the end of the fourth month. I stopped work, I ask him to pay me the rest salary before I continue..

This man keep posting me till now.

He just handed the shop to his brother to start managing, I met his brother, his brother told me he would pay me.. later I called the brother, the brother was like "I talked to my brother, he said he will be the one to pay you"

I feel he is trying hard not to pay me.

I called the oga, he keep busying my call until he blocked it..
I wanted to use the police but no money for police matter..

The manager has be threatening to arrest me if I try to take anything from the shop..

Please I need you help, how can I have the money back?

Just move on to getting another Job

The only way to get your unpaid salaries is to involve the police or else kiss your unpaid salaries goodbye

If you choose not to mention it, no problem.
If the amount is not reasonable, take @duduade advise - forget & move on. Never attempt to take anything forcefully from the shop. It will land u in trouble.

Enter the shop, put ur phone on voice recorder and take anything worth your money while shouting at the top of ur voice that u will return it when they pay you your salary z

Go the betshop codedly, book 2-odd for the exact amount wey he owe yu. Collect ur ticket, stroll jejely to ur zanka. If he gather crowd or police for yu, slowly tear the slip in front of him. Issa win win. Same evil wey dey pain the innocent, dey also anger the wicked

Anybody wey advice you to move on na Ogun go knack the person..

That's what some of these heartless employers do.. they will repeat the same trick to the next employee and making abnormal gain in the long run at the expense of the employee..

Look for a police officer to help you out.. not for free though he will be getting a percentage of the money

when I worked as a bar man.

I paid myself before oga pays me. I wear designer when oga wears durable plain clothes.

if company owes me one naira. I create shortage of one naira.

at the end of the month I tell them to take it from my salary.

create shortage and never laugh with your employer. only laugh when necessary.

Work hard to justify the money u dey tif. Hussle customers too .

be smart, never get caught.

Na so my boss for FERMA take owe me 35K that year, he was Secretary to the MD FERMA Abuja, he had millions but refused to pay out of wickedness. But now, things have turned around, he was sacked, and now I spend 35K just on Champaign.

Sorry dear, but there's nothing much you can do if you don't have money for police case. Besides, money spent on the case might be greater than the amount being owed.

I'll say you leave him and move on to another job. Sh!ts like this do happen

Online / Remote jobs is just bae and saves you from this and many other unnecessary hassles...im sure this job pay/salary doesn't even guarantee #1m savings after even a year work time spent! SMH..... Anyways @OP why not try and get another job rather than remain where you can't get paid for your services....once you've secured that then you can find a way to get all or part of the monies owed to you from your employer!


If you have access to Internet and browsing gadgets yet you don't use it to make @least $5 daily then it's your own undoing for been broke or below the weather financially!

It’s obvious the CEO and his brother are not ready/willing to pay you.

It is sad to note that you stand no chance to engage them legally because no employment contract was established ab initio.

It is more disheartening that they know you have no means to seek and get redress from their misconduct.

My Advice:

Look elsewhere for your daily bread. And while you’re at it subtly inform the Chief ExecuTHIEF Officer, that your brother/uncle in the military is interested in the case.

I'm in a similar situation at the moment. I'm being owed March and April salaries as I type this.

It's a security guard job of N25,000 (twenty five thousand naira) monthly.

I've decided to quit the job till I'm paid. So sad.
