Hi guys,

- you can do anything you forgot to do in the academy, photocopy, print, buy stuffs etc
- make sure your credentials are complete, mine wasn't but favour found me.
- they will check if you can walk properly, if you have tattoos etc.
- they will check your urine at the clinic
- a panel of 7to10 will interview you
- you will submit a copy of your photocopies before you leave
- they are not too strict, infact they are nice people.
- no provision for feeding or transport. but I heard you can sleep in their halls.
- wear your outfit, you are coming to a paramilitary that's the norm.
- its a day exercise, please go on your given date

my advice.

- don't go in the morning, go in the evening to avoid long queues, sun and frustration (that's what I did) it was very fast.
- when you are being interviewed don't lie about anything even your age.
- when you are being interviewed speak loud and clear, they will automatically dislike you if they are correcting you every time.
- when you are being interviewed be prepared to talk about how you will add value to the agency..

ok bye..

Thanks.

Please answer them or any of them
Do you have their organogram or how the system is structured?
Function of Narcotic Assistant (NASS) Cadre and the salary range?

Thank you.

The process is very smooth and seamless.

The first process is having your name ticked at the office by the gate.

After which you'll proceed to where you'll be cleared and your confirmation slip(the first printout that has your image) will be signed.

After then you'll proceed to the clinic where they'll check your height, weight and collect your urine in a test kit, the test result will be revealed by the kit and a medical certificate signed by a medical personnel.

Afterwards you'll proceed to the Hall where you'll have to pull your shoes and socks, your legs, hands, feet, posture will be checked, they also check for tattoo.

And then you'll proceed to someone who will arrange the photocopies of your credentials in a certain order including the medical certificate you carried to camp.

The next stage is screening of documents and you don't have any problem as long as your age and years of graduating from primary, secondary and university is consistent and does add up logically.

The last stage is interview by the commandant and other senior officers on the recruitment board. The main questions revolved around what you can offer based on your field of study and for some it was about their senators, governors. You'll go in to the Hall in group of 10s,that is ten candidates per set. After the interview the photocopies of your credentials Will be collected before leaving the Hall.

All the best to everyone.

I did my screening in Abuja.
It was very seamless and cool.

The staff were generally nice.
Something remarkable that happened was...

While I was being interviewed, one guy came in to the board (obviously directed by a staff to see the commander) to complain of his situation.

He was supposed to go to Jos for his screening on the date he came to Abuja. He wanted to know is he could be attended to in Abuja since according to him, the last time his name came out (2020) it was in Abuja he supposed to report. But this time around, he saw Jos and thought it was a mistake.

After much back and forth, he was asked to go to Jos, though his date would pass that same day. The commander gave him a note to deliver to the commander in Jos so he can be accepted.

This guy started pleading ooh, that he came from a very far state, lodged in a hotel and have exhausted his funds to further travel again to Jos.

The commander had pity on him and asked him to stay back and wait till after every one that is meant to be screened in Abuja headquarters has concluded their screening before he would be attended to.

The effect on me!

They didn't ask me much questions again as the guy encroached into my time. They were just asking me if I will accept posting to the North (Boronu, Zamfara and the likes) me I kuku said Noooooooo.

Their question was because I was from the East. They even said I'm ipob.

Though they asked what I will contribute to the agency when recruited, which I answered satisfactorily.

Maybe network downtime. But it's like a list was published showing list of invited applicants and respective centres to resume.
So as to avoid bridge the problem of network failure.
NB: I didn't apply but I have been following the thread. I am waiting for NCS final list for training.

The training is going to be by batches. 4months for Senior while 2months for Junior. 1000 senior and 2000 junior will start. After 2months the 2000 junior will leave the camp while another 2000 junior will join the Senior. All of us can't train at the same time because of Covid-19 protocol, that is why is batches. We shall be trained at NDLEA Academy Jos. The curriculum for Senior is different from Junior. The screening of the supplementary list continue to day at Headquarter Abuja. So the information about the training date is not out yet. Because serious arrangements is going on at headquarter because of the United Nations Days for Drugs on 26th June, 2021. The chairman want to give the day a new look from how it has been celebrated in the past. So serious meeting is still ongoing, we hope for positive outcome.

The chairman begged for additional 1000 so that some the top government officials that don't have the slot before can be given, so the request has been granted. Which all of us suppose to be 6000. But after the screening the people that turnout for screening are not up to 5000. So they have reverse it now to 5000. Because they is still room to accommodate those slot without even increment again.

NDLEA promotes 3, 506 officers to break years of stagnation

. Marwa hails President Buharis support for Agencys work

Chairman/Chief Executive of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Retd) has approved the immediate promotion of 3,506 officers and men to their next ranks, thus breaking the jinx of long years of stagnation in the Agency.

This followed a report by the harmonisation committee set up by Gen. Marwa soon after assuming leadership of the agency in January to address the issues of low morale and stagnation in the career path of personnel.

After due consideration of the recommendations by the committee, the NDLEA Chief Executive approved the immediate promotion of 2,910 officers between the rank of Narcotic Assistant I and Superintendent of Narcotics while 596 others between Chief Superintendent of Narcotics and Assistant Commander General of Narcotics were recommended to the Board of the Agency for elevation to their next ranks, a recommendation that was approved by the Board on Wednesday 16th June, 2021.

A breakdown of the list of promoted officers and men shows eight Assistant Commanders General of Narcotics (ACGN) were elevated to the rank of Deputy Commander General of Narcotics (DCGN); 20 Commanders of Narcotics (CN) to Assistant Commander General of Narcotics; 54 Deputy Commanders of Narcotics to Commander of Narcotics; 14 Assistant Commanders of Narcotics to Commander of Narcotics; 150 Assistant Commanders of Narcotics to Commander of Narcotics; and 350 Chief Superintendents of Narcotics to Assistant Commander of Narcotics.

A total of 630 Superintendents of Narcotics were also moved to the next rank as Chief Superintendent of Narcotics; Deputy Superintendent of Narcotics to Superintendent of Narcotics- 41; Assistant Superintendent of Narcotics I to Superintendent of Narcotics -481; Assistant Superintendent of Narcotics I to Deputy Superintendent of Narcotics -157; Assistant Superintendent of Narcotics II to Assistant Superintendent of Narcotics I -12; Assistant Superintendent of Narcotics II to Deputy Superintendent of Narcotics -187; Chief Narcotic Agent to Assistant Superintendent of Narcotics I -119; Chief Narcotic Agent to Assistant Superintendent of Narcotics II -47; Senior Narcotic Agent to Chief Narcotic Agent 1,006; Narcotic Agent to Chief Narcotic Agent 4; Narcotic Agent to Senior Narcotic Agent -68; Narcotic Assistant I to Senior Narcotic Assistant -1 and Narcotic Assistant I to Narcotic Agent -78.

While charging the promoted officers and men to see their elevation as a call to give their best in the task to rid the nation of illicit drug trafficking and abuse, Gen. Marwa said his commitment to push the Agency to the frontline in efficiency is becoming a reality due to the unquantifiable support of President Muhammadu Buhari.

To whom much is given, much is expected. I will therefore urge all of our officers and men who have been promoted to double their efforts as a mark of their commitment and appreciation to the President and Commander in-Chief, President Muhammadu Buhari, whose political willpower and mandate to bring an end to the scourge of illicit drug abuse and trafficking in the country we are implementing in the agency, he added.
