Duisburg:
Can anyone who used Togo route give details on how he got Resident permit, please?

The process would require you to stay and do business or schooling for at least six months before you can apply for a residence permit. Without this you cannot be interviewed at the embassy, however, there might be a backdoor or easier way which people will not come to this forum to discuss since it is not a legal means.

I really understand how you feel. I can see you are really looking for options, I see you have made inquiries on Ukraine, Turkey, Togo, etc.

If you are very loaded, I would advise you to just focus on going to Turkey, I don't know if your guy in turkey replied to you.

These countries are not Nigeria, you would need to spend the required duration by law in the country before you are able to apply to Germany.

Having a residence permit does not guarantee that you would be interviewed.

You would get an interview date ooh even after paying for your residence permit.

On the interview day, the VO would turn you back.

A lot of people I know have experienced this and I don't even wish the crescendo of emotions for my enemy.

You can still give it a try anyway. We are all adults, and it is up to you.

If you have a family member abroad (Germany) I would suggest you try the SL.

The Pandemic has affected the financial ecosystem and even with the current dip with the coins.

Truth is, this journey is an expensive one and the value of naira is not helping, if it was 1-1 shebi na just N10k person go drop.

You might need to ask a close family to lend you or take a loan on your behalf else, you would have to re-evaluate your plan. Going elsewhere to hustle then school!?

Have you gone through the daad website??

Kindly do, else I’m sure google would have some options.

I would also like to state that most courses in Business and Law are not usually with free tuition.

I no dey drag anything with anybody. You should read the write-up again.

You would get an interview date quite alright but you would be turned back. You can try it and come back here if they give you a visa lol.

If you do not spend the required duration and you expect that having a residence permit would automatically get you a visa then you are on your own.

What some people don't understand is that these neighboring countries understand the situation in Nigeria and they are just extorting us.

Which of the embassies have I not contacted, people should learn to read. Read the thread, learn from past experiences. The youth leader in Cotonou speaks Yoruba, baba would clear you that you cannot negotiate the price of a residence permit, he would not tell you the German embassy only accepts permits that are 6months and older in this case.

Assumptions do not yield anything, get your facts right. Be well informed.

Nna ehn wetin be the point of joining a thread if you no fit read am. I would say it again, if you cannot read everything you can start from January 2020.

You should ONLY contact the Nigerian consular in Cotonou or the immigration authorities directly.

Yes I've checked DAAD and I've seen the school I'd like to attend, but I'm not how to apply and make sure my application is received, also do you know anyone who has done or is currently doing his/her LLM in Germany? If so please share the person's email or contact so I can ask further questions thank you

Those who have gone for interview and their admission was for a course that wasn't tuition free, I want to know if they had to show proof that they had paid the tuition during the interview.
Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by OdogwuEkeke(m): 5:29pm On May 29, 2021
One platform that would answer your question is Linkedin. You can search LLM in Germany, see if there are any Nigerian there, then send a message to make an inquiry. If you do not see any Nigerian, then it might mean it is not so favorable to internationals to practice there. One thing I know is compulsory to practice is good knowledge of Germany (B2 ish). Do your findings, I wish you all the best.

Well, It would be the same as those that pay semester fees for free tuition. You have to pay to be an enrolled student. What is required on the checklist is an updated enrollment certificate. Meaning if you are in your 3rd semester you should have three enrolment certificate respectively.

This is quite tricky, you should contact the embassy.

Any student who is not on a scholarship or a first-class should apply for CAT B as stated on the website.

A Pre-Masters is not so common.

Thank you for your reply. I'm talking as someone who hasn't started studies yet. The enrollment certificate is for those that have started studies right?

So those who haven't started and it's for a non-tuiton free course like that of Esslingen, would they need to pay and present proof at the embassy or just show proof that they have the funds for the tuition.

Reason I'm asking is because to pay tuition ahead and not get AD doesn't seem wise to me.

up to date enrollment confirmation, if applicable

This is the requirement you're quoting. You'll notice the 'if applicable' clause.

Going by logic, enrolment confirmation should only be applicable if you have an old admission letter and have commenced your studies online in a previous semester.

TJ10 I see no reason why the embassy will require you to pay tuition before obtaining your visa. It simply makes no sense. The same embassy advises against booking a flight before visa is granted.
