Don’t conclude yet.. I received correspondence letter since February.. without upfront medicals.. up till this moment I haven’t heard from them.. no refusal no approval
According to IRCC, decision can't be made on an incomplete application. I think it's due to Covid19. Though I expect them to request for medicals. Have you done Medicals? If not, go and do it and wait for their decision.

Guys please I need a response. Is it fine to get the English proficiency letter from my school this month even though I intend to apply in September?
Steph1738aye:
Hi guys. The application portal for my program will open on the 1st of September and I intend to apply in September (although the deadline for the program is 1st of February 2022)
Now the thing is that, instead of writing the IELTS, I can get a letter from my school stating that the mode of instruction was in English. When do you think is the best time to get this letter? My original plan was to get it sometime in August but now I’m considering emailing my school so I could get it this month. (I’m just confused sad)
Currently I’m preparing to write the GRE in August.

Had an opening balance of 6.2M, I received 2 lump sums but I did not explain one. I’m opening a GIC account with 10,000CAD to be funded by my co-sponsor.
Thanks dear for the advice.

Enjay316:

was there any lump sum?.at the beginning of the 6 months, how much did u have?was there cash inflow and,out flow?these are things I think they look out for oo.also do u have a car or landed property. if u do it's best u state it.also u may want to pay ur 1st year school fees o instead if 1st semester but u must ask of school refund policy.but let's hear from our Ogas here too

Take the medical form with u wen travelling it is sugficient enough at the point of entry. Also, u can request IOM to send you medical report to your mail which u can print and show alongside the medical form

You’re working in a managerial capacity. Why don’t you look at a management program.... Marketing management, Business management, business administration.

Your work experience has given you the background to manage people and the banks business and to learn new skills and be better at what you do, you want to learn from industry professionals on an international level hence the reason why you are opting for the managerial course.

I feel this is easily defendable and logical. My opinion. Best of luck in your eventual choice.

my job duties as manager are :Overseeing daily business and supply operations of the company
Generating weekly reports and giving presentations on new business strategies to improve service delivery, meeting company quarterly targets and increase revenue.
Creating and managing budget portfolio.

Lekiboboe:

The Manager as a postion is generic and too broad

What are your roles/job duties as the Manager of the microfinance bank?

I think he's asking you to be specific about Department (e.g., sales, planning, finance, logistics, IT, engineering, etc.)

Not Duties.

(For example, engineering manager at sososo company)

School has nothing to do with Visa Approval Chances, as far as the school is a DLI (Designated Learning Institute), offers PGWP (Post Graduate Work Permit), and you do the needful on your STUDY VISA APPLICATION, you are good to go.

CAMBRIAN COLLEGE is a DLI & offers PGWP

There are loads of CAMBRIAN COLLEGE STUDENTS on this platform who have gotten their Visa Approved.

As far as you can do your diligence in your Study Visa Application, you are good to go with Cambrian College

It’s for admission. The application portal opens in September and I want to apply in September (although the deadline for my post graduate program is 1st of February 2022)
Is it too early to get the English proficiency letter from my university or do I wait till August?

I am sharing my timeline to encourage everyone…. I got a lot of Info from Nairaland and I hope this helps at least one person.

I reached out to an agent initially that gave me a bill of 1500 USD, when I converted to Naira, I decided to do my application my self. Thank God for grace and patience.

First time applicant -age 30
Program of study- MBA
School- Rotman school of management - University of Toronto
I got partial scholarship but still needed to show how I will fund the balance and my expenses.

So prior to my study permit application, I had two expired EE application my score was low so I didn’t get ITA. This made me nervous cos it was a proof that I would be looking for PR after my studies and I wasn’t sure if it would affect their decision.

Submitted my application February 19 with Upfront Medicals and my bank statement
Biometric request Feb 20
Biometrics updated to pass Feb 24
Medical updated to pass Feb 26
NSE request for IELTS Feb 25
Submitted IELTS- Mar 27
BVL May 31
PPR June 1

I graduated in 2011, and I have worked in the financial services industry since 2011 from my NYSC posting. I got my Chartered financial analyst (CFA) certification in 2019 so my LOE was focused on saying I needed the MBA for career progression and to take on leadership position. I also spoke about the need for investment analysts to have a global training to prevent mismanaging large funds and negatively affecting the Nigerian capital markets.

I attached pictures of my family members, got a study leave, letter of intro and my payslips from my employer.

For economic ties I used my 75% of my pension, my car and my equity investment. The 25% of my pension I stated I would use it for my funding during my studies. The PFA gave me a letter to support this.

For funding, the first page was a letter explaining all lump sums and where they came from and I stated that it was to show sufficient liquidity.
I included two tables one showing all my expected expenses for two years and all my funding. Then I included a summary table showing both incase there was any confusion that the funding was more than the expense.

My program is for 2 years so I had to show how I intended to finance it for the total duration. I didn’t want to inform any relatives so I had to sponsor my self. I got my admission in October, didn’t apply till February because of funding, I used this time to consolidate my finances and also apply for loans. I applied to Prodigy ( I was rejected) and Mpower( I got approved).

The school had an immigration lawyer that also helped me look through my letters and my forms
