You don't need lot of people to manage a social media page.

In my opinion, banks will employ more people especially in their customer service section because it will become very busy.

People who complain on Twitter, now will have to walk to the bank to complain.

Stone age reasoning.

like Crowwe or 2go abi?

Someone made an analogy about typical Nigerians to me some years back.
It goes thus; If a Nigerian is locked in his room by an oppressor sitting outside with the key to the padlock, and the Nigerian locked in unable to go out to eat, drink and receive fresh air outside.
The typical Nigerian will find a hole around the window, widen it to a space which he can squeeze himself to take exit and entry into the room.
The Nigerian will never find a way of getting rid of the oppressor to collect the key and open the door to his room for free and convenient entry and exit at will. He will just stick to the space in the window to squeeze himself in and out

Lol, what of if a Nigerian is locked in a strong room that there is no escape route, would he fight back? That is exactly what happened during EndSARS when people no longer have their freedom because of SARS.

With the ban on Twitter, I see many companies sacking their staff.
Yes or No? Because I’m thinking and of the opinion that those customer support staff who usually respond to us on Twitter would be sacked. Otherwise what do you think the companies would do given that these jobs have become redundant?

Complete dump

Sack!

Is it only Tweeta we have on social media!

No, they won't be sacked.

They will move to other platforms.

Which other platform?
Some ppl will just write as if they don't ve brain.
The two big platforms these companies' customer care mostly use to communicate is Twitter and Facebook.
Go and check, the commonest seems to be Twitter.
DSTV's response to issues or queries is swifty on twitter than Facebook.
I don't know why being a BMC is synonymous with stupidity.

Which other platforms? Facebook? Because I know many Nigerians that don’t use Facebook. And again, these companies have support staff in both Facebook and Twitter. Now, the support staff wound be in excess and given how Nigeria companies don’t care about overworking their staff, I believe they’d take this opportunity to lay off some of them
Facebook still topping as the biggest used social media. You may know some Nigerians who don't, nor many. I'm less huge on Twitter myself, but still annoyed at this move

Twitter is just one channel that they use to engage with customers, and it is because the customers are using it. If the customers start using other channels, they will follow suit. Try to separate the message from the medium and you will see it's not that complicated.

Digital marketers cannot be sacked. Companies will only fold up without them. I attended a Google seminar where the Speaker said "people no longer go online, they now live online".

If you can use Twitter professionally, there is high probability you can also use Facebook, Instagram and the likes though you may not really like them.

I venture into the online business during the Covid and up till now, it is one of my best decisions. I no longer wait for salary before I make essential purchase. I'm doing better at work because I no more money comes my way through my online business. If you have access to internet and you've got a laptop with the desire to make enough money that you won't be afraid of quitting your crazy job...then I can teach you what I do to earn income online.

Mah God help us from this clueless government.

How many staff does a bank have responding to you on twitter? Not much. There are still other social media platform and they could easily move them to other roles like marketing. Stop exaggerating this.
