Nigeria will not back down. We just told your US Canada and UK to their faces.

Just today, France fined Google £190m - US Canada and UK are deaf and dumb! It is only African countries they are always happy to comment on. Idiots

YOU ARE DISTANCING your comment from the main issue which is BUHARI faux pas !

He messed up with his war time threat to the Igbos.

Instead of apologising to twitter for going against their community guidelines Buhari generalise the issue and turn it to a national matter.

We don't have responsible leaders in this part the world. If you want the world to respect you, a leader must respect his country and people.

Buhari has no regards for anyone...that's why he feels too big to address the country and flout its laws. If you are violating the same laws that brought you into power, I don't know why anyone should take you seriously.

Lastly, everyone knows that Buhari has nothing in his brain. That's why Trump called him a lifeless man

In addition to that, Twitter should tender an unreserved apology to the president with a promise to always delete tweets that compromise the sovereignity and territorial integrity of Nigeria.

The hunch-back, ashewo-fuckin', demented, IPOBic albino based in the U.K should also be permanently banned from Twitter.

Without doing the aforementioned, the ban remains.

Stop misbehaving little uncircumcised boy. In a sane country you're not supposed to be allowed here.

I’m even seeing this twitter banned as a fight against southerners. Because there is a wider margin between south and north when it’s comes to the use of twitter and social media generally.

That’s why their northern youths are not so bothered about it

Northern youths are still having the Ismael complex, they are chips of the old blocks. They need not be saved, their imprisonment has an illusion of freedom. They are groomed to be stupid.

As for the Southern youths, there is no reason to be civil to a people who will stop at nothing to kill you and take your inheritance; your land, which you consider as nothing, only begets value when you travel the world and return back and realize that, that which you had and rejected as nothing, is what otherworldly beings kill to get. It is the REAL Estate that is transferable from generation to generations. A land rich in surface water and glory of minerals.

It is that substrate of the condensed universe. It is that, that the Foolanis can kill for.

My brother help me ask them. When did irresponsibility start in Nigeria...WHEN APC WAS FORMED & INTRODUCED ABUSES ON THE PRESIDENT & HIS OFFICE. What caused this present bruhaha...WHEN THIER PRESIDENT TWITTED A GENOCIDAL STATEMENT. So who is IRRESAPONSIBLE....APC & ALL IT REPRESENTS

“We are not saying that Twitter is threatening the country or any such thing; why we have taken this measure is to stop them to be used as platforms for destabilisation and facilitation of criminality or encouragement of criminalities,”

Zombies in the mud. grin

These rules are already enforced in section 3 of the user agreement. Stupid and brainless zombies can't read and believe twitter was being favourable to Nnamdi Kanu against the president when they simply weren't reporting his tweets.

Clearly you have a complex

Free speech is relative thing

France has a "Holocaust " denial law but criticizes those with blasphemy laws. Is that not hypocrisy
In many of these countries including Twitter religious opinions on homosexuality are blocked in the name of "hate speech"

We need to learn how to debate issues without taking sides personally

There is no contradiction. I support the ban on Twitter but I do not support Buhari's government
Buhari will not be there for ever

Twitter must show itself as subordinate to our laws

That means it it has any issue it should go TO A NIGERIAN COURT
Now if Twitter is not registered as a business in Nigeria it cannot do that so this is a smart trade move opening up the space for Nigerian companies

You seem confused. Twitter doesn’t have to be subordinate to your laws. In the grand scheme of things, you need them, not the other way around.

France Holocaust denial law isn’t an abrogation of free speech, it is to prevent giving a platform to sympathizers of one of the worlds most heinous crimes. The same laws exist in Germany and Israel.

Blocking anti-gay speech isn’t a loss of free speech, it is meant to protect people from discrimination. It’s the same reason Twitter also blocks people from calling you a monkey and the “N” word.

I wonder what the diplomats thought of the discussion when they reflected on the fact that the reason Twitter took down the Tweet of Buhari was because he used it irresponsibly.

Like what is wrong with our rulers.

They are angry with Twitter because they are trying to ensure their app is used responsibly and the Nigerian government is banning the app because they want the app to be used responsibly.

Confusing.

as in ehhn, I believe they are all part of the Bmc , in real life I have never seen anyone who supports this govt what are the odds that online you see lots of fake accounts speaking up passionately for a man as dumb and clueless as Buhari.
