Terasafaith, you mean Nigerians have turned you guys to microfinance banks (soft loan disbursers)??

Nawa o. Never knew people expect much from POS vendors too.

Especially those retired civil servants, they are always in need of money.
The business is lucrative, if the location is strategic.
Meanwhile, High risk, high profits.

For. Me I don't collect transfer from person I don't know ,cus of fake transfers alert is on the high ,so I don't entertain you if I don't know you ,also there is one tin I dislike when the customer is debited but the transaction wasn't successful ,I will advise them to visit their banks ,they will be shouting that I should give them their money even therenth with police self

Maybe a printed and pasted bold disclaimer can be displayed. Something like:

TRANSFER IS NOT ACCEPTED HERE.

FOR ALL TRANSFER, CONFIRMATION OF CREDIT IS BY MOBILE APP AND NOT DEBIT ALERT.

It could serve as deterrent too.

Just my 2cents.

The business is lucrative if you are careful and not greedy. I have different POS branches, which people do invest with certain amount and I pay them interest every month. And when they are ready to collected back their money they notify me ahead and take back their money while we seize paying them the I terest. If you are interested , hit me up, my number is below on my signature. If you are in Lagos we can meet up for further discussion

THE GOOD..
When I combine what I make from my three joint venture, I smile every weekend when am balancing my account..
*I became the most popular in my area.. I no wan too loud my location so those big boys/ biggest boys in my area no go Sabi say I dey nairaland.. (are you Dia? You gettti the point now!!

THE BAD
have been attacked 3 times, twice, it was a fake transfer of 50k.. It brought out my name and my full info, and they seem in a hurry. Well, I no shake. Kept my cool, asked for their address and phone number and promised to bring the money to them once it drop, I will bring it without charging kobo.
When they started making funny moves like flashing me weapon, I moved closer to my 50k gas cylinder and held the nossle.. Shebi na craze dem wan see, held the nozzle in my right hand and matches on the other hand, my matches is always handy since I already know sooner or later, I might be attacked.
When they too sensed trouble, they left...

2nd encounter, they were 3,one of them in a military uniform and the other two in mufti, they came with bike..
Immediately they said transfer of 50k and didn't argue about charges, I sensed fraud..
So I used my tactics again, gas nossle in one hand, matches on the other hand but these ones wanted to form stubborn.. I simply made a phone call and shouted, dem Don come back again o.. Dem no even wait to see the outcome...

Avoid giving your sales rep bulky money like 500 naira notes, they tend to make mistakes while counting..
I Don over chop gbese.
Almost all civil servants in my area turned me into a loan merchant.. I later get sense when gbese wan finish me.
It even got to a time, I have to go very early to their house around 5am and shout, they feel embarrassed but I get paid..
To do pos business, you have to be very sensitive and sensible hence, you close shop as soon as you open it..
I dey enjoy free things and free flexing cos na gboys full my area..
You will make friends, you will make enemies, you get free pass from ladies wey believe say you be dangote..
All in all, it is a bitter sweet experience..
honestly you go kill person with laugh.

The most satisfying quickie I ever had in my life

Even the notable one I had with Beyonce (off course, before Jay Z got hitched with her
Never came close

Her massive bulge out
Pantie line quite visible
My Weak point, I must confess

Pinned her down on all fours

Drew her lace pantie
Down to knee level

Her swollen labia
Jutted out in-between her thighs
Quite a sight

I planted my 28 inch Co*ck in to her wet sweet hole

She let out a loud moan

How much bang for the buck did I got from it
I doubled her wage for the next five months
But it was worth it

POS nice business though,

I tore the nylon that has our names and those long numbers with expiring date on my own card. The card is just plain and naked but I copied all those details to some book tucked in somewhere private.

I noticed that recently all these dirty cultists as aye and bagas will form they are fighting to rob people and their targets are pos vendors and pharmacies, they purposely shot one of my friends that owns a chemist store after asking the guy where he belongs and the guy told them he doesn't belong anywhere, they still shot him but thank God he survived.

Once it tore ,the card is gone . It won't work again sire.

As the owner, sales rep or just helping out.
Share the good, the bad, ugly side of working as a pos agent.

The good
Making great friends and acquaintances. connecting to a greater scale if you know your onions.

I've heard of people who met their partners while working as a pos agent.

the bad
Debts and more debt
You'll see one old man/woman even young peeps will just come and be doing oju anu to please borrow them the smallest amount that they'll pay back, after giving them, they'll stop patronising you and will even stop passing the route of your shop lol grin

the ugly
This one happened to me recently but I serve a living God.
The man came with a jeep highly dressed with an expensive bling, he said he wanted 50k I charged him 1k he said no prob but he's doing transfer.

Inside me I was happy cos that means more commission, oga finished doing the transfer said I should check. While he wait inside his ac motor cos that day was hot af, after 5min he came and asked if I had seen the money I said no, he said maybe its network that he'll wait.

Another 10mins money never drop my scam rader began blinking po po po po.
Oga said I should give him 20k to settle someone while he wait till the money drops, I said mba.

When he saw that I wasn't fazed neither was I moved with his appearance, he suggested to send the money again but if the first 50k entered I should send it back to him and I should manage 5k for being an omo daada, oga did the second transfer showed me his bank app, our company's name and truly it showed successful even the first transfer details that they've not refunded him, I even saw his account balance wey be like recharge card pin grin sibe sibe this madam wasn't fazed.

Oga came back asked me how far, I said none of the two transfer dropped that means no money, he just hissed and drove off. till now I no see any 50k.

Pos work no easy honestly, the bad outweigh the good it's just God that's protecting most of us.

Please share your experience let's learn from each other.

Try applying for an opay android pos
Their charges are 6% on any amount (withdrwal)
10 for deposit from 1k to 5k
20 for deposit from 5.1k to 10k
30 for deposit from 10.1k and above

And you still enjoy 25% cash back from all your commission daily
How much for the opay android pos?

It's free but there's a clause.
You will put a down payment of 20k but your pos must run 2m(both withdrawal a d deposit) within 3months. or they'll come for their pos and return your 20k to you if it doesn't have any damage.

I have had series of bad encounter from staff to customers,if i wasn't determined to continue i could have quited the business.

Somebody once did a transfer of 100k and i paid the customer.and a lean was placed on my account the following day reason is because the account that was used to transfer the 100k was a fraudulent account.it took almost a month before i was able to access all the funds in my account my account including the 100k.

I employed someone that wasn't conversant with figures, thereby punching the wrong amount to be debited from the customers account and paid they agent overpaid the customer .i have been in the business since February and i have suffered losses of about 70k in my 2months.

Somebody also paid my staff with fake naira notes.

Someone deposited some money with my younger brother and the money disappeared somehow the moment the customer walked out of the shop.

A female customer did a fake transfer of 15k to my account only for my sales person to call me to confirm and i said yes i have seen it,simply because the last person that transferred also sent 15k that was how i lost it.

So many bad experience.overall i thank God for today I'm recouping what i have lost little by little.i just pray and commit all my activities for the day into God's hands.there is nothing we can do than just try to earn a living.
pls how where you able use the account ?I am in a situation like this more three months I can't access the account ,pls how did you do it

I thank God for using POS business and I also nairaland to change my life. I was serving my in-law in wood ( koso or madrin) business far back 2014. 2015 my in-laws sent me to southern Kaduna to be buying the koso wood with buhari gov closing the border the business was going South. I look at the environment getting money was a big challenge to them because there was no bank except in kafanchan which was 3 hours journey.
"How to open pos business nairaland was what I typed in Google" and nairaland never disappointed me, this was Dec. 2015 after my in-laws settled me with 390k with a lot of wahala but God never disappointed me.
2016 I was running my pos with quickteller & Diamond bank God bless them.
Now I have 3 plots of land from different states.
I have my Toyota corolla 2004
I'm married and super market for my wife

I have been duped once 40k by fake alert
My boy 70k on the same day
I lost 260k with etranzact
I have lost almost 100k on wrong account
Pos gave me money and people thought I'm into yahoo.
Just like every other business pos business don cast.
Now waiting for another business opportunity.
No day pass without me checking nairaland business

Well, my experience is different. Someone make a purchase and sent the money to my account. Saw the debit on his phone , but I fail to collect his phone number. Afterwards I think there was reversal on his account and I never gets my money, though not big amount sha. I also had a story of someone coming to an accountant and said his boss said he should give out money , called the boss and the guy heard the voice of his boss , gave out the requested money only to letter discovered that the voice of his boss is pre recorded with a fake voice using some software like that.

Those softwares are on play store I think..

It’s call voice change or so..
