Check your inbox.

Please reply with your number.
Thanks.

I didn't get your email. However, I got someone at the port, he has programmed another key but the gear is yet to engage. I guess it's as a result of the programming. The key was actually not stolen in Naija but in US

There is an issue with your NATS key and it requires a reset to work correctly with the car immobiliser system.

I've never heard of such before.
It's not possible.

The error is actually "Shift To Park" even when in P. The gear can be moved from P to R and D without pressing that button on the gear. When moved to P, it shows the shift to park on the dash with continuous beep.

You need Nissan consult 3 to programme any Infiniti ECU or esle, it will keep showing SHIFT TO PARK. Also, sometimes, it may not start unless you reprogramme it again. I've experienced this before.

I've just been informed that it's the valve body that's bad

Were you able to get another valve body

Took it to the Mechanic and after a while he called and said he wants to service the gear. That valve body is expensive 20k... When he was done there was just a slight improvement... It's tiring

Not sure why you didn't just change the valve body. 20k isn't expensive at all for something so important.

I told him to buy it.. But he insisted he had a solution... Maybe it's difficult to change

Hello guys, I just changed my Nissan altima 08/09 NS-2 transmission fluid (4 litres), but I discovered that the dipstick still on low mark, the mechanic suggested I buy another 4 litres of NS-2... Please how many litres of transmission fluid does Nissan altima 08/09 required?

Nissparts, nurey and other professionals, please your attention are required

How many litres did you remove?

The 08/09 Altima CVT has 2 models
RE0F09B CVT Fluid capacity is 10 litres.
RE0F10A CVT Fluid capacity is 8.3 litres.

N.B Nissan CVT is very sensitive and you need to adhere strictly to factory instructions.

Thanks for the quick response. Jesu. I removed about 4 litres but the previous 4litres was bit above low level on the dipstick...

Check fluid level when the engine is warm (after driving for 10-15 minutes). Apply parking brake, depress brake pedal and run the shift gear from P-R-N-D and back to P before removing the dipstick.

That's exactly what happened to me when I changed my Nissan Teana oil I bought one tin of NS-2, after changing it the dipstick was low I had to buy another tin. I ended up spending 40000 just to change gear oil.

Sorry, I havent been here in a few days.
You only need between 4-5 litres for a simple drain and fill which is what i suspect you did.
For you to take out the entire 8-10 litres is a different process.

I guess someone else has posted the correct way for you to check the level of the fluid.

Note: If you are having transmission issues, the chances that it is caused by fluid level is very slim except of course it is almost empty

Thank you. The mechanic removed the bottom pan and drained all the fluid, I was there, there's 2 circle magnets there... So after drained, we poured 4 litres of the oil and discovered that dipstick didn't gadge... So he adviced we add another 2litres...though I've bought 4 more litres but only added 2 litres myself...

No transmission issue. The car is tokunbo, I just want to drain the oil and put fresh one.
