Help! My Dog Doesn't Know Where To Urinate. by Cutezt(m): 3:10pm On Jun 13, 2021
So I have this 9 weeks old eskimo dog, she is lovely and a beauty to behold. I love her so much and play a lot with her, but my only problem is that she doesn't know where to urinate. She urinates on my tiles which gets me annoyed a lot of times, I have watched dog potty training videos and tried all the tips but with very little success. I have a potty for her kept in the toilet but she prefers to urinate on my room tiles.

I have tried to keep the potty where she loves to go urinate but everytime, she shuns it and still urinate on the tiles, and at one point, I beat her and put her in the bathroom so she can see that when she urinated there, I won't beat her and will reward her, but this dog held the urine for over 10 hours and immediately I opened the bathroom door, she rushed out to the room and urinated on the tiles.

I don't know what to do again, please house, help me, she seems to be confusing the room for the rest room and the rest room for the room.

I have, but little joy. The problem is that I don't cage her, she has freedom to walk around the room, so I don't know exactly when she wants to wee, and she urinates very often too. She can urinate 5 times in 30 minutes which is crazy. The poo is just once or twice in a day, but that urine is every time and I'm loosing patience. I don't want to take her out as I want to breed her as an In-house pet

You give her too much water

Restrict her water drinking to with meals only that will reduce it

Puppies are like babies how can you get so irritated, imagine how your mum felt when you were a baby vomitting and pooing everywhere?

Patience and love is all you need to show her

Show her with example, go with her whenever you want to urinate, play with her before running to where you want to urinate, she will cuppy from you, pets are good to learn from their masters. just like babies.

You will notice before dogs do their thing they sniff, do that circular turn and then settle to do it. The smell of her urine at that spot tells her that is where to do it. I do not know if there's a physiological problem that needs to be looked into by the frequency which you mentioned. It could also be psychological as constant urination can be related to stress too.
You may need to reconsider not allowing her to do her thing outside the house. A special spot or perch that she now associates with doing her thing. Patience is key as you repeatedly take her there and wait till she poos and pees there.....then reward with a treat and 'good girl'

Study the time she poo and urinates. When it gets to that time keep her where you want her to poo, and she'll get used to that spot.

This is hilarious

grin grin
It appears your dog loves to pee on tiles alot. Cover a rug on the tiles where he pees in your sitting room or where he stays most often for now and keep the bathroom opened so he can see the tiles there. Teach her the potty over there as soon as u noticed her going to the tiles in the bathroom.

I have never had a dog o. I am only cracking my mind. I don't k ow how to train a dog.

Dear OP,
Here is us Dog Lovers @ advise for you,
One of the easiest ways to train a dog to go only in one spot is to train it to go on command.
Take your dog on a leash to the spot you want it to use, and say a particular word meant for her alone.
Keep the dog in that spot until it pees or poo, then offer a reward.
Only reward the dog when it goes in that particular spot.

Take your puppy outside frequently,
at least every two hours,
and immediately after they wake up.
Pick a bathroom spot outside, and always take your puppy (on a leash) to that spot.
Again, Reward your puppy every time they eliminate outdoors.

Meanwhile,
Expect your puppy to have a few accidents in the house, it is a normal part of dog house training.
Here's what to do when that happens:

Interrupt your puppy when you catch them in the act.
Make a startling noise (be careful not to scare them) or say "OUTSIDE!" and immediately take them to their bathroom spot.
Praise your puppy and give a treat if they finish there.
Don't punish your puppy for peeing or posing in the house. (You have made that mistake above)
If you find a soiled area, it's too late to administer a correction. Just clean it up.
Rubbing your puppy's nose in it, taking them to the spot and scolding them or any other punishment will only make them afraid of you or afraid to eliminate in your presence.
Punishment will often do more harm than good.
Clean the soiled area thoroughly.
Puppies are highly motivated to continue soiling in areas that smell like urine or feces.

We hope this helps.
Your puppy is damn so cute kiss

Op she is just being careful, because no one is to be trusted now. What if you go use her urine, but if it's on the floor already, it would have spoilt then.

Cover the whole room floor with newspapers, has the days go by reduce the newspapers .till it will remain one she always wees in . You should have successfully made her to leave your tiles alone and face news paper, after sometime place the single newspaper In the place you want her to wee. And correct her with phrases like goo
