So I have this 9 weeks old eskimo dog, she is lovely and a beauty to behold. I love her so much and play a lot with her, but my only problem is that she doesn't know where to urinate. She urinates on my tiles which gets me annoyed a lot of times, I have watched dog potty training videos and tried all the tips but with very little success. I have a potty for her kept in the toilet but she prefers to urinate on my room tiles.

I have tried to keep the potty where she loves to go urinate but everytime, she shuns it and still urinate on the tiles, and at one point, I beat her and put her in the bathroom so she can see that when she urinated there, I won't beat her and will reward her, but this dog held the urine for over 10 hours and immediately I opened the bathroom door, she rushed out to the room and urinated on the tiles.

I don't know what to do again, please house, help me, she seems to be confusing the room for the rest room and the rest room for the room.

It is the training you give to your dog it listens to. Training dogs is not just overnight. You have to be patient and repetitive.
Now for a 9-week old Eskimo, it is harsh to expect too much from it. It is a puppy and puppies at that age are not fully developed mentally to start assimilating commands.
Whatever training you are administering has to be patient and repetitive. The latter is what makes it stick.
If you want some useful tips and advice, call me via WhatsApp on +234805210866. I am not charging you oooo. Na free advice before you go use anger kill dat poor dog.
I have four Eskimos and they all live inside my house.

She's just 9 weeks, be gentle on her. This is the solution - always observe her and at the instant she wants to pee, she starts turning around in circles, then rush her to where u want her to always pee. Do this for about a month, and she will start going to that main spot to pass out, not just only pee but excrete too

grin Reminds me of those days. I have an Eskimo too so I can relate to this like 100% but I will tell you one thing.

At 9 weeks you are wasting your time! That dog can't remember much at that age, she just started seeing at 8 weeks so all these while your dog can't really see you. Just clean up her mess for another 4 weeks and stop trying hard to potty train her.

When she is 3 months old now you have to be strict, if she makes a mess shout very loud, take her to the potty box and use the potty word. If you don't have any use a word like Pee Pee! And point at the litter box and leave her there. You must use the same word when you want her to do her business because she will remember this word and what it means in future.

Clean the mess with detergents so it kills the cent else she will go to that same spot and do it again.

If she keeps falling to use the potty box put her in a crate or very small space where she can't move alot, bring her out let's say every 15 min and take her straight to the litter box then say the potty word repeatedly. If she doesn't pee, take her back to the crate and leave her their for another 15 Min and try again. If and when she does it then pet her and reward her.

Have it in mind that it takes about 3 weeks to learn it so be very patient cause Eskis are very intelligent.

Re: Help! My Dog Doesn't Know Where To Urinate. by Nobody: 9:22pm On Jun 13, 2021
Try proper moping of the floor and spraying a perfume on the very spot where she constantly urinates on the floor consistently. This will leave her confused as she won't be able to detect the very spot she urinates again... Then continue training her on how to use the bathroom.

grin grin use vinegar to mop your room and she won't urinate there. Take wet papers and put where you want her to urinate and when she gets used to that area, you can stop putting wet papers there.

Please try the following...

(1) Each time she urinates in the wrong place, kindly take her there and make her perceive her urine (dogs detest it) by forcing her nose to the urine, and...

(2) After step one, spank her immediately so that she'll know that's the reason for the beating.

(3) While carrying out steps one and two, speak to her in harsh tone, expressing your displeasure with her.

(4) Observe her intently. Whenever she wants to wee, scream at her and rush to the scene to stop her and repeat steps one to three and immediately take her to your desired location.

(5) Repeat steps one to four with consistency.

Best wishes!!!

You have to be patient with her she's still a baby. The. Watch her when she's sniffing for a spot to pee or poo. Then rush her to the place where you want her to do. You have to be the one to lead her there for a number of times before she will know that's where she should do it.
She's a baby. 9weeks baby for that matter.
But she's really cute

Most likely her urine odour is what is driving her back to the tiles/spot. Next time she urinates on the tiles, try and scoop the urine, as much as you can and decorate cheesy where you want her to start urinating.
Then clean and if possible disinfect the current spot and area where she urinates hence removing any trace of urine (aim is so that she can no longer pick the scent) Then take her to the area you have decorated cheesy with her unrine and observe her, let her spend enough time there. If done properly, this should solve the issue. Also make sure the new spot is somewhere she can easily access.

Dear OP,
Here is us Dog Lovers @ advise for you,
One of the easiest ways to train a dog to go only in one spot is to train it to go on command.
Take your dog on a leash to the spot you want it to use, and say a particular word meant for her alone.
Keep the dog in that spot until it pees or poo, then offer a reward.
Only reward the dog when it goes in that particular spot.

Take your puppy outside frequently,
at least every two hours,
and immediately after they wake up.
Pick a bathroom spot outside, and always take your puppy (on a leash) to that spot.
Again, Reward your puppy every time they eliminate outdoors.

Meanwhile,
Expect your puppy to have a few accidents in the house, it is a normal part of dog house training.
Here's what to do when that happens:

Interrupt your puppy when you catch them in the act.
Make a startling noise (be careful not to scare them) or say "OUTSIDE!" and immediately take them to their bathroom spot.
Praise your puppy and give a treat if they finish there.
Don't punish your puppy for peeing or posing in the house. (You have made that mistake above)
If you find a soiled area, it's too late to administer a correction. Just clean it up.
Rubbing your puppy's nose in it, taking them to the spot and scolding them or any other punishment will only make them afraid of you or afraid to eliminate in your presence.
Punishment will often do more harm than good.
Clean the soiled area thoroughly.
Puppies are highly motivated to continue soiling in areas that smell like urine or feces.

We hope this helps.
Your puppy is damn so cute kiss

Buy pampers

On the serious side

Create a routine for her....walk the dog out and ensure she poo and pee at a particular spot outside....maintain same time each day.....morning and night....the dog will adjust

Pee and poo training is best for outdoors not indoors.....
