Unlike most politicians, president Buhari does not speak from both sides of his mouth, he doesn't sugar-coat words to please anyone. This could be why ever since his media chat in 2015, his handlers have shielded him away from live interviews, to avoid him saying what he isn't supposed to say.
Few days ago, maybe Gambari was trying his luck, the president had two live interviews and in one of them, he reffered to igbos as a dot in the circle. This has generated a lot of reactions with everyone interpreting it in ways they wanna. I still maintain that Buhari shouldn't have said that, but he has said it. The question now is if he is right or wrong.

Answer is, he is right!

I say this out of a sincere heart, I have no issues whatsoever with. But they are like a dot in a circle with nowhere to go as far as Nigeria is concerned.
I have asked up to 20 pro biafrans living outside the south east if where they will take their business to in the event of them gaining indepence. The responses I get are
"I will remain here as a foreigner"
"Who says one must live in his county of origin"
"I will go back, get my papers and come back to continue my job"

I have also asked the same question on nairaland, the responses are similar. I get things like "mumu question" or "you no get sense" or "must everyone live in their country of origin?" etc.
In summary, they don't want to leave, not because they love the country or the people or anything of sort, but where will they go to what will they go and do there?
Igbos are majorly traders, they need a market to trade, considering that all the 5 SE states put together equals the size of Benue, the igbos have the whole of Nigeria as their market. As a matter of fact, igbos are the greatest beneficiaries of the Nigerian project. It is something they should be thanking God for every morning!
That is why they don't want to dream of leaving Nigeria, even in the event of not being Nigerians, they don't want to leave. As at this morning alone, up to 100 people from the south east have packed their bags and are going to settle in Lagos, Kano, Zamfara etc.
I don't know if any of them are aware that no country allows it's small and medium scale industry to be dominated by foreigners.

They are sometimes, it is better to keep quiet than raise issues that will heighten already tensed situation. Buhari is such an elder that do not know when to talk and when to keep quiet.

The latest comment 'dot in a circle' is one statement that himself do not know has a deep meaning.

Mathematically, what is the difference between a dot and a circle? How many degrees do each possess? Both has 360°. If so, it means the Igbos has equal opportunity as Nigeria, in all ramifications.

Again, there are some countries that the dot (5 States) are larger than. Economically, I see the Igbos doing better than most African Countries, if allowed to stand on her own.

So what's the fuss about it. Nothing, absolutely nothing, lasts forever. One day, sooner or later, Nigeria will break. And the Igbos will be free.

If being a dot in a circle means having limited movement, then everyone knows the Igbos are no dot in a circle because they're the most travelled Africans.

Their land might be a dot in a circle, but the people in the land are no dot in a circle. And common sense should tell you that the land doesn't make the people, the people make the land.

While Fulanis are like the one drawing the circle. Every other tribe is just with the circle, maybe not as dots.

u must be a very big clown .There hunderd of thousand of importer of phone in Kano,kaduna,jos,ibadan ,that are not igbo infact in Kano igbo are least in the chain of phone dealer in Kano...igbo dominated trade are medicine, spare part ,electrical buiding material. Hausa man dominate trade include commodity,forex ,gold,textile ,hide and skin and beef production.
