Lol. XYZ is a legitimate domain extension nah. Just like .com or any other. I went for .xyz cos the name I want to use has been registered using other popular extensions.

If you're getting traffic, I'll suggest you go with ads display instead of affiliates. Most affiliate sites are usually hit by Google update, and that reduces a site's earnings, traffic and its market value.

You can try signing up on ezoic, I heard they now accept zero traffic sites.

Because without traffic, you won't make any money, even with adsense. Which country is your blog targeting, because to make money on affiliate marketing, you need to promote something, people need to buy through your link before you can recieve your commission. I think I have to stop here, there is so many things you need to know about this business like how to get product, how to target people that need the product and buy from you, how to convince them to buy and many many others. The site I mentioned above is not the first I'm setting up, just the first I intend to specifically use for affiliate marketing. That's why I wanted to hear from those ahead of me and learn the basics I need to know.

You know it's easy to find affiliate marketing tutorials on YouTube and so on, but you and I know nothing beats hearing from real affiliate marketers who are already earning a living from their hustle, not those inflating their figures or posting fake screenshots of their earnings online.

That's why I posted this here, cos I know there are lots of nairalanders already securing the bag on a low-key via affiliate marketing. You may even be one of them.

My target audience is primarily USA, followed by Nigeria. You can teach me how to get the traffic, I'll gladly listen. For now, all I do is on-page SEO, as you can see with most of my posts.

I think yes, but I haven't used them before.

For usage, its advisable you use just one. You can combine an affiliate+ads display, but combining two ads display isn't ideal cos your site will be congested with ads which isn't a good sign for a visitor.

You have to enrol for training as a newbie, affiliate marketing will push you around without training I can assure you on that.
Without copywriting and getting quality traffic or targeted traffic, affiliate marketing is useless. Text me via my number on my bio let me hold you by hand.

Talk to local medical equipment suppliers who you can link to for profit.
Get a link from Konga, jumia
Reach out to medical and hospitals both local and foreign and sign their affiliate program

I have an Amazon affiliate blog targeted at USA with over 20 articles. It's over a year and no reasonable sales. I need a pro in the game to handle it. I spent so much on digital agencies in putting that blog together

Like someone mentioned earlier, your focus should be on growing your traffic at this time. Monetizing is much easier and will come naturally afterwards.

A few questions for you:
- Are you doing any keyword research or simply writing what you feel like writing?
- Do you know if you're in a YMYL niche? If yes, your blog should show your expertise (EAT). Going through your blog, it's hard to tell if you have any expertise at the moment
- Personally, I think your posts are too short. But check and benchmark against some of your competitors. If your target audience is in the US, I think you'll have to step up your content, page speed and so on.

I'll definitely employ the strategies in my content.

About my posts being short. Well, that's on purpose. I try minimizing them to 500 words or a little above that. Since I'm reviewing medical equipment and sometimes multiple products at a time, I'd like to just go straight to the point, without losing the attention of my readers with unnecessary info or boring stories.

It's the same policy I use for my other blogs and the content still rank high on Google search result pages. But since this is a different niche entirely, I'd have to look into it.
