I don't criticize everything he does, he isnt good enough for a club like Chelsea

This mindset of always assuming that you are right and others are wrong is funny, una go dey drag me but how many L's have most of you collected going against me?

Airfart in particular has repeatedly collected L on this thread in shameful manners I might add but he still has the nerve to claim that he is a reasonable person that people should take seriously cheesy he is an online equivalent of those semi literate that argue at newspaper stands

He is such a loser that whenever I see him arguing with anyone, I automatically know that he is wrong
Once you give them L they start keeping grudges grin grin

There's a year Ibime posted Iniesta was the best midfielder in the world..

Raumdeuter posted the screenshot i think.
Both Iniesta and Xavi are very good players. Though never seen a midfielder dominated play like Xavi did at Euros 08.

Rudiger wants more than what Hudson-Odoi is earning. I don't blame him. We had this argument then, that it's counter-productive to give young players big wages, some people talked about amortization but big players don't care, they want their own damn money too.

The last thing we need is City signing Kane and we fail to sign Haaland and end up buying a second-grade striker like we did when United took Lukaku away from our hands. No more second grades even if it means buying only a player in a window. Buy quality not quantity.

Rudiger saying he's 100% committed to Chelsea isn't a problem. He should extend or leave this summer. I don't see Marina allowing him to run down his contract and leave as a free agent next summer.

Kane's mistake was signing that long-term contract. He should've known better. Son is about to sign another one, tomorrow he will start complaining.

Man city going to sign Kane, and these ones are arguing nonsense undecided

Stats aren't sentimental. Sentiment is buying into commentators narrative that Xavi and Iniesta are running the midfield, then when you check the passing stats, it's only Xavi. I also fell for that narrative until I looked deeper into it and watched games in detail to see what's happening in the midfield.

Sentiment is continuing to hold on to that false narrative after Xavi retired and Iniesta could not run midfield with others, yet still holding onto that sentiment. Meanwhile Xavi ran midfield with many others for Spain while Iniesta played on the left wing.

Sentiment is awarding Iniesta Player of the Tournament in a tournament where he had zero goals and zero assists.

Sentiment is calling an AM with the output of Kovacic and less than the output of Willian the best of his generation.

I am very factual about my analysis of that Barca and Spain midfield and what I see is a midfield controller extraordinaire in Xavi, with an activity former doing attaché to his greatness.

Iniesta is simply the luckiest player of all time, protected on all sides by midfielder controllers and goalscorers who took him to trophies. If he played for your club as an AM, you will call for him to be sent on loan with that pitiful output.

You are just hyping Alonso. Busquets is calm and better on the ball than Alonso. Alonso fumble under pressure. He is not press resistant. I am saying this as a Madird fan who watched Alonso weekdays and weekends during his playing days.

Even in the Spanish National Team, Alonso was always substituted but Busquets is untouchable. Alonso is good at long range passes through.

You definitely watched Alonso play for your club and your summary is similar to mine that had Xabi play for my club

By the way, I was referring to World Cup 2014 and 2018 and Euro 2016

You can check and tell me Iniestas performance there outside of Xavis system.

Anything to do with Barca in 2015, direct your questions to MSN.

Was Xavi not part of this World cup 2014 fiasco?

I have this analogy about centre backs - House niggas and Field niggas

House niggas organise the defence while you send Field niggas to man mark. Anything outside of that they become confused.

Xavi was finished in 2014. His Achilles problems were well known and he wasn't training regularly. Time for Iniesta to step up and run the midfield with a suboptimal Xavi and in subsequent tournaments without Xavi, we saw he couldn't.

the whole team was poor so to single out iniesta is wrong. Football goes in cycles anyway, that spanish team had won virtually everything at that point so it was only natural the only way was down considering the age of the team as well. No team rules for ever. All in all iniesta was a superb player, truely held in high regard by the spanish fans & neutrals, hell he gets standing ovations at all the la liga grounds he attends. Not many players have held that kind of regard. Nothing anyone says here or agenda can diminish his lengendary status

I stated here before that what Rudiger needed was a leader. Depending on him to organise and lead the defence is like handing Sunday church service to Shekau.

Only those who understand football well would reason along.

Imagine those scummies and mumu Arsenal are interested in Koulibaly.

Rudiger needs a leader to play with in that defence. He is susceptible to errors.

Don't mind Ibime. I'm sure if it was Xavi that scored that 2009 match against Chelsea, he would have be the worst midfielder in Barca's history according to Ibime.

We will soon open Lampard's fraudulent account.

So is football supposed to be, Make I wait till e spoil for my hand like David Luiz?

Smart players hold and release the ball on time, this is not monkey post where you hold onto the ball and get dispossed.
No wonder all the coaches Busquets played with preferred his style of play and he was always number 1 for DM position

Alonso that is slow and needs time to pick pass, he is the easiest player to target and many opponents did this, since they know Alonso will foul them and becme useless from then

Madrid fans, Bayern fans have confirmed the same thing about Alonso because we saw him play for our teams

The latest result was a flaccid 0-0 draw to Shaktar Donetsk in the Champions League and it was result that really highlighted the central issues Bayern Munich are having in buildup play -- and most of the blame for that falls at the feet of Xabi Alonso. Despite the fact that the former Spanish international is only just 32-years-old and coming off the back of winning a Champions League trophy last season with Real Madrid, Alonso is a shade of his former self that saw him win two European Championships and a World Cup with Spain in 6 years. He's been a completely immobile type of playmaker for several years and while his passing ability may still be rivaled only by the likes of Andrea Pirlo or Toni Kroos, it's the rest of the equation that is making him a liability for Bayern Munich.

Just as Wolfsburg and Schalke demonstrated to open the Rückrunde, targeting Xabi Alonso is a viable strategy and one that hurts Bayern Munich far more then it harms yourself. Schalke further demonstrated that combining a high pressing defense that targets Alonso while simultaneously maintaining deep structured defensive lines is a very valuable strategy to killing off Bayern Munich's ability to build play. Furthermore, it also restricts the space for their intricate passing in the final third. Taking a page from the books of those two clubs, Shaktar Donetsk came out and shut down a Bayern Munich attack by first playing compact structured defense, then shutting down Xabi Alonso with the man mark and high press.

This sounds like what teams were doing to Fabregas.

I actually agree. It's Pep fault for playing an old man Alonso as a lone DM..

Alonso is a CM in his younger days, much less playing an old version of him as a DM

As a Real Madrid player, Alonso often struggled against pressing German teams. His side were knocked out of the Champions League by Bayern in 2012 and finished behind Dortmund in their group in the fall of 2012 before being eliminated by the Ruhr side a few months later.

Alonso was never the most mobile and best defensive player, and now 33 years of age, he's even less so. Guardiola may be able to mask his deficiencies in the Bundesliga, but he will fail in the Champions League. His costly mistake against Manchester City and sending off against Shakhtar are clear evidence. And he's not the only aging central midfield star to struggle on the greatest stage.

At 35, Andrea Pirlo continues to dominate opponents in Serie A. Yet his Juventus were eliminated from the Champions League group stage a year ago and barely edged Olympiakos to second in their group in the current campaign.

Xavi at Barcelona began to decline a few years ago, his inability to track Ramires' runs in the 2012 Champions League semifinals clearly indicating his downturn. The Catalan maestro has been effective in league play since then, but struggled against physical Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern in the 2013 Champions League, and Atletico a year later. This season he's played in all but five La Liga games for which he was fit, but started just two and gone the full 90 minutes in only one Champions League match.
