Yea but if i expose myself in public in front of 2-3 people police will be called on me and i will be charged for indecency exposure but i can go naked on national television ? Nice

Nobody is forced to watch the naked people on national tv unlike when you expose yourself to people's horrified gaze in public. wink

Think of Naked Attraction as a free educational resource, like Anatomy 101, with that strange female presenter as the lecturer. After staring at so many naked people of different genders week after week, she must be confused about her sexuality by now.

I'm asking for investment purposes. The mortgage range given by Dupsy won't even cover a 2 bedroom flat in some parts of Scotland.

Interesting. Is that the mortgage or actual rental income?
If you plan to go back to naija, do housing investment there.
Housing in UK as an investment is headache . Big high blood pressure
Yields very poor returns. And you can easily lose your house if.........
Our people once in UK rush to do that and are trapped forever.

Some Britons will tell you why they are not keen in going into that and they make cool cash.

Before you decide on housing investments in Nigeria, think about rent per annum + amount to complete project + rate of asset appreciation + ease to release equity + source of funds + applicable interests + calculate years to recoup invested amount vs Property acquisition in the UK + apply all aforementioned ....... grin

Up till last year and the coronavirus-driven search for non-urban properties, the number of buy-to-let mortgages was roughly equal to those for owner-occupiers. That doesn't indicate a disinterest in being a commercial landlord.

Definitely very expensive though London is not just a city , London is a brand
A brand that is affecting Essex as a whole. Houses are expensive because of their proximity to London sad

God forbid @ bolded.

I have an investment property in the UK and I have zero regrets. The secret is to do proper research, not go for overly priced properties and make sure the property is located in a good location.

In fact, I am looking at expanding my property portfolio. I'm not into it to make huge yields/returns. The goal is to pay off the mortgage as quickly as possible using rental income and own the property outright. I am sure some people here won't believe me if I tell them my tenant pays around £850 for a 2 bedroom flat in Scotland but that's the truth.

Are you sure ?
The money I wasted in Nigeria in real estate if I invested it here in the UK I would have had at leat 10 properties. Nigeria is very unstable, tenants take advantage, estate agents take advantage and even the people you call family. The maintenance culture is zero.

For example if you built your house in Ng when the exachange rate was 250/£ and now exchange rate is approaching 800/£ and you want to sell you will be making a big loss on your investment. Nigeria environment is too harsh and unstable.

Is it advisable to purchase cement now for a project due in January 2022?
How long does Nigerian cement last for before it goes bad ?

Leave the cement with the seller, jejely .... Don't buy yet, don't pay for it & don't pay any deposits......

When you are ready, start the buying process...... If you buy it now, two things could happen... :-

- Theft
- Becomes harder than olumo rock...... cheesy

I live in Greater Manchester. It is about 30-35 mins drive from Manchester. Train is similar. Husby and I work in Manchester, so we do the journey almost every work day before Covid.

What part of Greater Manchester is this?

True that, cities 1-2hrs away from London are equally expensive as more and more people move away from London to closer cities they drive housing cost high
