my take is that, if the team played a second leg and both team was dragged to extra time, then, the away goals should be scrapped. it make no sense to apply the rule in extra time of 30 minutes.

Away goals do make and give most visiting teams the incentives to attack not just to park the bus from the first minute.

The reason why we hardly see penalty shoot out in UEFA knockout matches is because of the AWAY GOAL RULE.

This man go scatter this competition before he comot...it should not be applied once the game leads to extra time since there was no extra time in the first leg but not remove completely.

I don't support this. I think the only time away rule should stop counting is after playing same scoreline in both homes and then game gets to extra time. The away goal rule should stop applying at this point.

Your opinion is credible, it would have been a very good option. However, Uefa's policy makers have made their choice; which is a better one. It will make games in the knock out phase more open, thereby guaranteeing more goals. We all know the life blood of the beautiful game are goals.

If the new rule was what you met as a normal rule from the inception of UEFA, are you going to have this counter-opinion? It was them that set the first rule of away goal, it is still them that say they are changing it, the only right a football lover has is to stop watching UEFA competitions if you are not ok with the rule.
