Hello House,

Teesside University Applicants or those already confirmed, please how much did you show on POF on a 2 years course (Tuition at £7,500 Per Year)?

Did you have to show the entire £15,000 + Maintenance funds OR just the First Year Tuition + Maintenance funds to get the Visa & CAS ?

In as much as we are in a hurry for September intake, we need to take some precautions. There are rules guiding this student visa. The timing is very important because each documents has it's own time.TB,pof, Cas. The Proof of fund is supposed to have settled for at least 28 days before your visa application. You cannot do your biometric without a visa application and you cannot do a visa application without meeting the proof of fund of 28days first, Any variance to this or you applied before pof is 28days is an automatic refusal. Same way lots of people were booking TB in april for sept/oct intake so earlier enough that the CAS was not out, they needed to then change the university. It should be one thing at a time, we won't waste resources ooo.
All these rushings are not required if one seized his time and plans ahead. Jan intake start now, sort schools and admission unconditional offer first, make your payment deposit for CAS, then TB, 28days can begin once others are complete, then apply after 28days within full 31 days of maturity of pof, I hate fire brigade approach, Check which one do you want to apply early, sept, Jan, may. You start on time. (My opinion)

Ah thanks for this cos I was already planning on paying for my visa and ihs while counting 28days.

Very spot on!!! And that’s the essence of the training

chidarlus100:

If you like get registered with HCPC, if you don't know your basics in the above listed...you will definitely find it IMPOSSIBLE to get a job from Nigeria. I have gone through lots of bms job applications from nigeria and also resided over a couple of interviews in my Trust and I must confess that most HCPC registrants in Nigeria lack basic knowledge in aspects of QMS such as risk assessment, CAPA, resolving quality control failure, use and interpretation of LJ charts etc..

Please dont misunderstand me, I am only stressing that getting the HCPC registration is totally different from getting a bms role in the UK as I have lot of connections on LinkedIn testifying that they have been registered since 2018 and haven't been invited for interview talk more of getting an offer after interview. And be corrected that I know couple of guys in the UK who started working as bms trainees (band 5) without HCPC as they were placed on AFC at 75% of the highest band pending when the get their registration portfolio (thats another arguement shaa)

My sincere advice is to get connections on LinkedIn with bms practicing in the UK and get to know how their system works. Don't just get HCPC registered and think you are entitled to a job in the UK and when you don't get one....you conclude its not possible to gst a Job in the UK unless you spend money travelling to the UK for a masters because, even after your masters, if you don't know the above listed you will NEVER get a Job even with your IBMS and HCPC registration (except you get lucky and get a band 5 role which is highly unlikely because you will be competing with uk newly graduated bms already working in band 4 role within the UK)

Pls what is PLAB 1? Can he register for PLAB from Ukraine? Does he need to be in Nigeria to register for PLAB especially since d deadline (1st July) is very close? Is the PLAB meant to certify a medical graduate?

I will honestly advice your cousin prepare for PLAB exams as its not easy to pass and besides he will still need to write English proficiency exams as well. I think there is another PLAB 1 exam coming up on the 4th of November.

I will strongly suggest he prepares for the exams before attempting them. PLAB is the medical licencing exam for foreign medical graduates before they can practice in the UK.

There is no need to rush the Exam. If going to Nigeria is not an option; he can register for a MSc program in the UK while he attempts to sit for English proficiency exam and both PLAB 1 and 2 ( this route is hard as he will be faced with coursework and preparing for all exams

I am sure didn’t read my post well. I was explaining to @Deering1008 that it’s 13 working days and not 15. Since you did biometric on the 3rd, you will most likely get a response by Monday/Tues next week. I wish you good luck

Good afternoon @ justwise kindly assist.

My husband is applying for MBA but the 2 references we have are not responding.

We only have option of using his former boss that means the reference will not be on work latter head paper. Is it advisable to go with our option or wait.

Yes, I agree with you. Studying Masters (eg. in Public Health) is a great advise. He is ready for d Masters option, while preparing for d PLAB exams. But which UK universities are good or better for medical graduates?
