Hi NLers!

I need your experience and advice on setting up a mini restaurant in a place like Osun State.

There is a shop at a very good location but I am curious about the expenses that will be incurred establishing such kitchen.

At least I need to do some renovations and buy kitchen utensils. I will be hiring two people for a start. I plan to be cooking well packaged local foods like pap and moin-moin or bean cake in the morning. Jollof and fried rice and perhaps pounded yam and egusi soup in the afternoon (brunch).

What do you think my budget (I'm planning 300k) should be? What are the risks of establishing such? Will such budget cover the required equipment while starting.

OP, you have to consider your location to determine what you will cooking and how the package will be, so let me know where in Osun, I know basically all the towns
As for the kitchen utensils, they are damn expensive Now, so you can get used ones, at least for pots and coolers and for gas and gas burners too

You will need like 4 plastic chairs and 2tables for a start
Gas and burner, you can go for used medium size
Pots and coolers, used
Get a dozen of new plates and spoons for a start
You need banners, like medium sized
Hope the 300k is not part of shop rent

I really have to know how that area is b4 I can suggest foods to cook
And pls open facebook and instagram page, do home delivery too

The area is a popular location. It is one of the major roads. Commercial and microfinance banks are close to the area.

Will definitely be leveraging on the social media platforms too.
