Good day Nairalanderz, I'm thinking of setting up a farm/ranch in Oyo due to the cheap rate at which lands are sold but various news in the media about attacks on farmlands and kidnappings along that route is making me have a major rethink.

Can anyone around Eruwa and Iseyin, Ibarapa LGA or one who constantly plies those route please give an honest opinion of the situation.

Thank you.

What you hear in the news is real.

If you are bent on having a large scale farming in the areas mentioned, set up your independent security apparatus.

Good luck on your investment.

I'm am from Oyo, I will advise you not to locate your farm around Ibarapa Okeogun axis due to the marauding Fulani terrorist. If you can afford land around Oyo town/Afijio it will be better.

Good morning.
I have a farm in Eruwa though I live I Ibadan. I go to Eruwa every week and I stay over a times in fact I just got back yesterday.
Most of what you hear are rumors. I'm not saying misunderstandings don't arise but it's not at the scale that should prevent a serious investor.
You can send me a message, with their permission, I will give you links to other farmers in the area so you can make enquiries OR you simply drive down and see.
