This has nothing to do with increased tariffs. It simply means that Multichoice refused to remit the VAT they charged from their subscribers

There are 2.5 million DSTV subscribers in Nigeria, out of a payTV market of 5.2 million and there are 200 million of us.

I doubt most Nigerians have a DSTV package. It is the privilege only a tiny minority can affrod.

In fairness to DSTV, even with the 'increases' we still pay less than they do in South Africa...indeed than in many African countries.

DSTV compact in SA costs 11,710 naira. In Nigeria, it is N7900 per month for example.
