Barrister Aloy Ejimakor, Special Counsel To IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu has stated during an interview with BBC Pigin that the court trial of Nnamdi Kanu earlier scheduled for 26th July 2021 will not hold, IgbereTV reports.

Ejimakor stated that Nnamdi Kanu who is currently in the custody of the DSS was kidnapped, and that is a criminal offence. He stated that based on international laws, Nigeria would have to be questioned for kidnapping Kanu, and for this reason Nigeria lost the moral and legal right to try Nnamdi Kanu, which now makes his planned trial on the 26th of July unrealistic.

It seems this man is yet to understand the severity of the case of his client by playing to the gallery and throwing his points in the public domain. His client better go find an experienced criminal lawyer like that one of convicted Rev King. This one is a media lawyer enjoying the limelight paparazzi at the expense of his client. How many times did we hear Rev. King's lawyer , Olalekan Ojo (SAN) , address the media on his strategy? yet , till date, Rev. King has not been executed despite his conviction.

It just seems so apparent that this man just doesn't get it at all. You will go and tell all this before same Judge who issued a verdict that your client ,who jumped bail, be produced before her and a strong FG prosecution team that has evidence of how your client on record, has been insulting the Judge and calling her bluff that he will not present himself ?

Sir, in my opinion, he is not intimidating anyone. Once this his media charade is reported to the Judge and the Judge reminds him of what his professional conduct should be, like Justice Abang did during Olisa Methuh 's case, he will be out of his wits niyen and if he disobeys the Judge, he will attract reporting him to his professional body for disciplinary action or the Judge sanction him. That's why I think he is not getting it. Even the media can be summoned if they debate a case already in court.
